I could hear your father cursing trying to get the pipe and gasket together even though he never uttered a word!! ;) No one likes to feel taken advantage of, however I believe working symbiotically with your neighbor is very important. Right now you have land with grass that is not being utilized, why not let your neighbors sheep eat it? It isn't costing you anything, BUT could provide you with goodwill dividends in the long run. Work cooperatively. I sincerely hope you did not just take the ram.
Yep working Symbiotically IS important. We are in very good terms, and friendlier than ever. As I said in the video I don't have any problems with them eating the grass, I did have a problem with him not asking me, being a friend of ours who we spoke almost daily in the local caffee, and drink coffee and beers regularly. He knew it was my farm, And he pushed them there intentionally. After the first time I offered him to pay me daily, or give me a sheep every couple of days of grazing, And its all because the sheep were not only eating the grass, but also destroying fruit trees, and eating Olives out of the olive trees ( which is a monetary damage to me). So then few days later, It started raining in the morning, and would've rained for few days, So he thought I wouldn't come to the farm that day ( because he knows we are rebuilding, so He thought we wouldn't come to rebuild that day), So he pushed them inside again, hoping I will not be there for few days because of the storm. This just tells you his mindset towards me. He needs to work cooperatively with me also, And he needs to compensate me to try to fix the relationship. So the ram was an agreed compensation.
@@AlexLukachina your arrogance is not going to do you any good in your relationship with your neighbors. You should do everything you can to be more cooperative. Hi Alex, I really enjoy seeing the progress on your property. Just tell you about the neighbor's sheep, in rural areas it is very common for neighbors to lend each other land for animals, but in Portugal where the native people are very friendly, I hope you can fix this issue with your neighbor, it is not good to make an enemy, it's not worth it... a hug from Argentina
Hi Renee, Yeah we are in good terms still, And I did offer him a daily lend of the land so his sheep can graze. But I will not tolerate him pushing the sheep there without telling me.
Great teamwork. Your home is sure progressing nicely. As for the visiting sheep, frustrating for sure. But they may be a blessing in disguise until you get into farming yourselves. Ken and Gena have struckup a bit of a symbiotic relationship with their neighbour. Farmer has food for his sheep which seems to be scarce and expensive during this terrible drought and your land is more manageable for next fire season. Something to consider.
I think you have to tell the owner of the sheep that you just let them in just until you finish renovation, at least they gonna eat all the dry hay and clean the land and prevent it from fire, plus they gonna add a lot of sheep west to the land you will benefit from that in the future. Finally my friend you have to start good relationships with the neighbour's in New country. Good luck

Usually farmers in Beira Baixa tend to have more livestock, mostly sheeps and goats. What the farmer said is true. There is a big problem with wild boars, they destroy everything and even killed people or have accidents. Unfortunately there isn't a natural predator for the wild boars, so be careful that the hunting season is starting very soon. You can help your neighboor by helping him fencing the shepps, he will much appreciate.

Hello Alex: How are you and your family? are you all well? you didnt post this weekend so I am worried. Is Angelica getting along well with her new companion? You are missed. I hope it is a mini vacation and not something serious.
Good job Alex, it’s looking great 👍 To be honest didn’t like what you did to your neighbor, the best part about rural Portugal it’s how neighbors help each other and I tell you if you’re in trouble everyone will gather and come help you, it pays off to solve things in a peaceful way, everyone will have your back if you do that. You never know when you’ll need your neighbor 😊
Its OK, I think you never lived in Rural Portugal. Read the comment from Alex from Quinta fonte da pipa, And you will understand that what I did is a restrained action, I should’ve been even more harsh.

Great fun with the disrespectful neighbor and the addition to your family (the unnamed ram); while your dad completed the plumbing with your help. Freddie does good work for you guys. Thanks for this enjoyable video Alex and have a great week-end.
Actually it's not disrespect, people usually help each others and it's normal to leave sheep in neighbouring lands, cause people are friendly and are ok with that. No need to call people disrespectful when you don't know how things usually work here
@@a.m.1259 I guess its you who don’t know how things are working “here”, Coz I speak with alot of people in the village, and some of my other neighbors and all said that it was not okay and disrespectful, so…
I think you should return the sheep to the Shepard. Their sheep are their life-hood. He made a mistake but also remember that’s how they do things there for generations.
In Portugal there is plenty of food for the sheep, there is a lack of sheep to clean the land. I wish I had a neighbor with sheep to clean my land so I don't have to spend money cleaning it. Believe that your neighbor has no ill intentions. Go slowly..."in Rome be Roman".
Great job guys!!! Make sure when your digging with Freddy and the digging gets tougher that you kick the RPM's up higher to help the old guy dig easier. Have you given the Ram a name yet?
Liked before watching 👍👍 I just like the way you say "Hello guys, Alex here" How's your father's back? Hope he is ok. I wonder what harm can sheep do to your land? Have you any crops planted?
Hi Alex and dad. I am enjoying yr restoration work and find you easy going and charming. Keep it up, even when coming up against perceived slights or disrespect as the important thing long term is good relations with your community. I’m guessing the sheep have taken a like to your land and are finding ways to access it. Or perhaps your neighbour had other things to prioritise in the short term. But the request for compensation is probably enough to let him know to prioritise the fence and you won’t need to lock up sheep or get cross with him. There will be times ahead when he can repay the use of your sheep feed. Good luck keeping things on friendly terms.
It’s handy to become friends with your neighbour , farmer like to use the barter system or trade for grazing or hay you could get him to graze his stock in area’s that you need to keep tidy Saves you from having to cut it yourself while getting either meat or stock from the trade I’d barter for stock build your flock up slowly over time 🐑 x 🐑 = 🐑🐑🐑🐑 in the long term it could be a very useful relationship to foster . All the very best to you and your dad 👍
Yes absolutely, I've already told him that if he wants we can barter for sheep for grazing days. We are in good terms still, he tested me, I stood my ground, And now he respect me more.
Running through your house and helping with the plumbing is funny from where I'm sitting LOL Non the less you mustn't fall out with your community. Try a little humour '' hey ... When are you going to send those sheep up with a bottle or 2 of that home made wine ? Then you learn of the wild boar and say '' well thank you for helping me keep the grass down. '' Offer to help with securing his feild maybe ? I wish you all the best

Alex I am so happy Angela has a boyfriend!! He is a bit skinny but you guys will give him lots of treats though. Now she will maybe have a family. The first of your flock! Hello from Australia!
Haha yeah, Hopefully lambs soon ))
It's so nice to see such progress.
Hello Alex: How are you and your family? are you all well? you didnt post this weekend so I am worried. Is Angelica getting along well with her new companion? You are missed. I hope it is a mini vacation and not something serious.
Glad to see that Angela will have a companion. What will you name him? Your father is The Man! Great work!
Alex couple of things first lunch looked awesome second when you use your backhoe increase the rpms it will work way way better
Good job Alex, it’s looking great 👍
To be honest didn’t like what you did to your neighbor, the best part about rural Portugal it’s how neighbors help each other and I tell you if you’re in trouble everyone will gather and come help you, it pays off to solve things in a peaceful way, everyone will have your back if you do that. You never know when you’ll need your neighbor 😊
Its OK, I think you never lived in Rural Portugal.
Read the comment from Alex from Quinta fonte da pipa, And you will understand that what I did is a restrained action, I should’ve been even more harsh.
@@AlexLukachina I was born and grew up in a village near Celorico da Beira, Serra da Estrela, all 4 of my grandparents had sheep and farms… I know very well the culture and I am also working overseas with the dream of very soon return. I didn’t mean to bother you with my comment, I’ve been following what you do for a while and always praised you but truly didn’t like how you acted with your neighbor…
Tudo de bom para ti e para o teu pai e também para o teu projecto, tens que talvez aceitar melhor a crítica, por vezes pode ser benéfica e construtiva: dares-te bem com os teus vizinhos é uma coisa muito bonita 😊
Boa sorte
@@celiabonifacio3912 There is a huge difference between being a local Portuguese, And a foreigner.
People here are taking advantage, are disrespecting foreigners, with the assumption that we will not say anything.
No matter how you look at that, He disrespected me, and he knows it.
I stood my ground, took measures, Now he respects me, talks to me in a much respectful and friendlier way.
In life if you continue to be nice when somebody takes advantage of you and disrespects you, will only lead to him and more people to do more of that.
I came across your channel and started watching. At first I thought you in the SW USA where the land some what. Then I thought Mexico, since none of the plumbing parts
looked familiar, I read you were in Portugal havivig moved from Ukraine, WOW...I
will be watching you from NE Georgia, USA
Absolutely loved the video, your dad is a genius! 🥰
Are you planning on using solar to heat your water? I would use a closed loop to a tank inside to heat the tank.
Also here in the States we use hot water for the dish water line. Be sure your unit can take cold.
Looks Good! Can wait to see the roof going up!
Very smart way to deal with your neighbor. I bet he won’t take advantage of you again.
I’m glad Angelina has a new young Ram in her life now. She is adorable and so gentle.
You and your father have very impressive building skills. I’m happy for your progress.
I hope your father’s back is feeling much better.
Be well and enjoy the journey.
Thank you Sue :)
Hi Alex, message to Dad, rest and I hope your back's feeling better soon.
O h i love the sheep your dad is a very good worker he seems to no alot about every thing you are so lucky to have a good dad and the sheep love him your haouse will be a dream when all is finished you are a good worker allso Aiustralia
Angela + Houdini ✨❤️❤️✨
There are no ruins in the US like yours so It's interesting to see how you've had to adapt to the plumbing install
Hi Alex, I continue to enjoy your progress, one more step…..
Alex - You named the excavator so now you have to give the Ram a name!!!
I've heard that WD-40 is not good for rubber sealing, it is much better to use the liquid for cleaning dishes instead to make the connection easier.
And a lot cheaper than WD40, not used for sealing but as an assembly lubricant
Yeah in Previous video that we did on the plumbing, we were using the dish cleaner, And we usually do that too.
We just didn't have that in hand, And only had WD-40 at the time.
God job, step by step all is very good.
Nice plumbing job on the bathroom those pipes are hard to push together without moving the o ring,at least the sheep has a friend now hope they get on together,it’s annoying when you get other peoples live stock on your land.
Love it! Let’s get that roof on the house.
It is so wonderful to see how you have handled the sheep saga. Obviously Angela takes the show and she shows the ram that she is queen of the castle 😂 I sincerely hope that this sheep saga would eventually be sorted on good terms for the future. Sometimes some people would take advantage of a person's good nature and that is sad. However, one needs to stand up for your rights and respect needs to be given to another person's property. I do admire both, you and your dad. You guys are really working so hard and your dad is absolutely amazing... All his knowledge.. I also admire your own calmness and manner and your way of reasoning. Your dream home is definitely taking on more shape now that the water pipes and sewerage etc has been done. I'm really excited to see the next video and obviously the finale...😂😂oh yes... And the food really looked so tasty.. Please stay safe, use the sunscreen and I pray for blessings for you, your dad and your mom. 🤗🙏😇
that ruin where the sheep were ,looks interesting
Hi Alex. Hope your Dad is gonna be ok. Love the progress and interaction very much. You're both so talented and knowledgeable.
Madam now gets to order her new companion around, and me thinks Houdini....!! Yep! Apt Name. She made sure he knows who the boss is... right at the start LMAO... So cute!!! He would need to disappear alot too, because she won't let him steal her thunder LOL!!!
Nice work... Really love the build progress. My favorite GO TO tube.... You guys are amazing.
Your doing a great job enjoy your video
This house is so beautiful.
Nice job as usual always enjoying your videos and waiting for a new one to see the great progress you're doing and to see what Angela the supervisor will be up to 😁
Waooo. It’s going to be such a nice home. You guys are really the best team!! A lot of knowledge!!
Alex when you sheep rustle you must remember to take their bells off lol 😂, but yeah seriously your neighbour is taking advantage of your placid natural. Great progress on the house though 👌🏻, all looking very good 👍🏻.
😊 I really enjoy watching your videos
Glad you stood your ground with neighbour, hope your dadcfeels better soon.
Love your vlogs Alex. Love the sheep too. Don't let the neighbors take advantage.
Brilliant job its going to look fabulous when finished good luck and take care .xx
You should not fight with your next door people one day you will need help from them and then it’s good you have the sheep eat the grass that is helping you to keep control off your grass now
The shepherd will help you in other ways later.
Great progress! And a friend for Angel too! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 what will his name be?
Haha yeah ))
I was thinking About Houdini, he likes to dissapear :D
Great fun with the disrespectful neighbor and the addition to your family (the unnamed ram); while your dad completed the plumbing with your help. Freddie does good work for you guys. Thanks for this enjoyable video Alex and have a great week-end.
Thank you Dolores :)
Actually it's not disrespect, people usually help each others and it's normal to leave sheep in neighbouring lands, cause people are friendly and are ok with that. No need to call people disrespectful when you don't know how things usually work here
@@a.m.1259
I guess its you who don’t know how things are working “here”, Coz I speak with alot of people in the village, and some of my other neighbors and all said that it was not okay and disrespectful, so…
Hey, wish you great autumn!!!
I think you should return the sheep to the Shepard. Their sheep are their life-hood. He made a mistake but also remember that’s how they do things there for generations.
BUT THE SHEEP WILL CLEAN THE LAND LESS FIRE
In Portugal there is plenty of food for the sheep, there is a lack of sheep to clean the land. I wish I had a neighbor with sheep to clean my land so I don't have to spend money cleaning it.
Believe that your neighbor has no ill intentions.
Go slowly..."in Rome be Roman".
Great job guys!!! Make sure when your digging with Freddy and the digging gets tougher that you kick the RPM's up higher to help the old guy dig easier. Have you given the Ram a name yet?
Hi Alan,
Thank you for the tip!!
Haha not yet, But I was thinking Houdini, as he likes to dissapear alot :D
Álex espero que tu papá esté bien de la espalda☘️
Liked before watching 👍👍 I just like the way you say "Hello guys, Alex here" How's your father's back? Hope he is ok. I wonder what harm can sheep do to your land? Have you any crops planted?
good stuff :D
Enjoyed the video !!!
Thank you Joanna,
Glad you enjoyed it :)
It’s handy to become friends with your neighbour ,
farmer like to use the barter system or trade for grazing or hay you could get him to graze his stock in area’s that you need to keep tidy
Saves you from having to cut it yourself while getting either meat or stock from the trade I’d barter for stock build your flock up slowly over time
🐑 x 🐑 = 🐑🐑🐑🐑 in the long term it could be a very useful relationship to foster .
All the very best to you and your dad 👍
Yes absolutely,
I've already told him that if he wants we can barter for sheep for grazing days.
We are in good terms still, he tested me, I stood my ground, And now he respect me more.
@@AlexLukachina Could barter using Big Freddy for groundworks for him too
Running through your house and helping with the plumbing is funny from where I'm sitting LOL Non the less you mustn't fall out with your community. Try a little humour '' hey ... When are you going to send those sheep up with a bottle or 2 of that home made wine ? Then you learn of the wild boar and say '' well thank you for helping me keep the grass down. '' Offer to help with securing his feild maybe ? I wish you all the best
wd 40 eats ribber or makes it brittle should use dioletric grease good for rubber like spark plug boots, , inknoew it is compatablewith rubber is the point lol, kool film i wll be baaa baaa ck lol
Oh Angela … I love you 🥰😊🙏🏼
The sheep eat the dry pasture is good because they clean the land but the owner should ask you first.
You Made a great progres👍😎👌
