All of these comments hating and excuses as to why Chelsea lost but everybody forgot that Chelsea also lost to corinthians from Brazil a b team on the international club cup final , a loss is a loss and MLS won, plain and simple , I'm Brazilian but I support the MLS all stars and I'm very happy to see soccer growing up super fast here , give USA credit where credit is due !!!
Rule of thumb in soccer: US team beats European Team = US got lucky/European team played their B team European Team beats US team = See I told you the US sucks in soccer.
yo no one cares about basketball or american football U.S aint even good at baseball they always loose to Japan Puerto Rico Cuba Domincan Republic yo i mean I'm just keeping it real but i give us Basketball but no one plays Football except for Canada and a little bit of the UK
@116833272312400626969 little bit of the UK? lol. Try most of UK play futball or as you American call it soccer. Us Spaniard with our La Liga BBVA top team can beat the US futball club team with no problem.
@118079021609087580267 Wow really? Don't make me laugh. Just because of one world cup really? We won the Euro Cup and we won the world cup 2010 and not just that we have two of the best club team in most Euro. Do you have that? No. One world cup does not mean that your USA is better than my Spain. Plus most of the players were not ready or tired because of the Spanish league and the UEFA. Real Madrid and Barca have played more hours than your USA, so of course, they wouldn't be able to be at their fullest. All you got is your MLS you got nothing more.
Im from the UK and ive got to say im impressed with the progress the MLS is making. Just watched some highlights of some matches and i am plesantly surprised. The fans also seem to get into the matches creating decent atmosphere in the stadiums. Good work, keep it up!
the mls players only had 2 days to practice with each other. factor that in and its pretty balanced. love the Blues and love the MLS it was a good game
Exactly I like seeing all great players playing in a league rather than average players but you have a very solid point. I need to start watching more MLS before I sit here and argue with you.
First off, i never even mentioned "american sports" specifically. i only mentioned sports in general. that being said, hockey, baseball, basketball, swimming, soft ball, boxing, golf track and field, etc. But in american sports specifically, because you asked - basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, etc.
It's great to see that football, soccer, whatever you want to call it, is catching on in the US. It's taken such a long time for us Americans to get with the program, but we're finally beginning to understand why it is the most popular sport worldwide. I like seeing more European players coming over to MLS; it helps to bring up the overall level of play. And honestly, I'm happy that Americans haven't been too proud to learn from Europeans on how to properly celebrate the sport.
@William Laureys. There are indeed international players in MLS teams but you know what? There are a lot of Americans that have and do play in European leagues. Eurosnobs are simply afraid of the change they feel in the air and change is happening in the American leagues
MLS is no doubt the fastest growing and most underrated league in the world. If you don't like MLS it's very simple...Don't watch it and leave the fans the hell alone!
We were playing with our youth players and players we just bought. The only one who's played a full 90 is Ivanovich. The all-stars are also in the middle of their season, while this is a pre-season match for Chelsea.
it would be awesome if the mls would be integrated in the uefa and the 2 or 3 best teams qualify 4 the championsleague, just like in the european leagues. in the begining it would probably be hard 4 the american teams but it would be the thing that would really change the mls and bring a lot of cash and interrest. i hope i see that one day for real.... greets from germany
Dry Gon jeah but starting in the CL would make some clubs interresting 4 crazy rich russian billionaires, and then its easy to get competitive.and even if not just starting in the CL guarantises the clubs over 10 million $ a win in group stage over 1 million $ even a draw =500.000€( 700.000$)+ lot of TV cash,so even if in the first 1 or 2 years it would be hard they could get way more competitive in a few years. cause even doing quite bad they would get easy 20-25 million $ by playing only 5 games in the cl.
I completely agree with you. Just to clear things up, I wasn't trying to say that soccer is the most strategic sport out there. I was just saying that it's a sport where you really need to understand, and pay attention to the strategic nuances to fully enjoy it. There is definitely strategy is American sports too, but the big plays and fast action generally happen more often than in soccer, so it can be enjoyable to someone who doesn't totally understand what's going on.
Not mad, it is just that people take things out of perspective and look simply at the scoreline. I was there, it was fun to watch. Fun to be with the Chelsea supporters. Winning is a bonus.
Lol you win won game against us and think your better you had your whole league to pick from we had one team and they didn't even play thier proper team loool 😂😂😂
Tedie Winning against a B selection isnt really something to be proud of. A third class team in the UK won against a B selection of Man United. While half a A squad of Man United won 0-7 against an American team and later on 0-6 against another lmfao. 0-7 is like total rape on the field xD. The US only made it far thanks to a good goalie. They got totally destroyed on every single part of the field against Belgium haha.
The 2011/2012 title winner was only decided in the last few minutes of the final match of the season, with Manchester City drawing 3-3 with QPR. The final goal was scored in the closing minutes of the match... that, was exciting.
Hey, I'm a 'Euro snob', live near London and I'm glad MLS won, Chelsea put out a first team mid and defense and to give extra credit to the MLS, they're not a team so they only had a couple of days to connect as one and they did.
As an American and a lover of soccer it's not hard for me to admit that Chelsea did not take this game all that seriously. They subbed off that entire team at half time. Had they wanted to win, I think they would've at least left Hilario in. Had Chelsea won their supporters would be saying "Nice win versus a quality opponent, and a good early test of our fitness and depth. But, to be fair, MLS aren't really a team and have just come together over the past week."
Considering the MLS started in 1996, I'd say they are doing a pretty good job. Although they don't have the history the European leagues have, they are still growing.
Coming from an American, I think you're the one that needs to look up the rankings my friend. That being said, I really wish more of our top athletes would choose soccer as their sport of choice.
Chill guys, theres a reason why RDM didnt use cech, its just a friendly game. Anyway gotta give credits for the MLS all star team for playing brilliantly!
yeah those were the starters except luiz. the mls scored the other two goals after they were subbed out and they put ferreira LB, Ivan CB, Luiz CB, and chalobah RB. Its not like the mls were bad though. They had some good players.
To be fair though, it WAS just a preseason match. That said, it's great to see MLS all stars playing well. The league really isn't as good as European leagues yet, but it's certainly improving pretty quickly.
like how spain lost to usa 2-0 in 2009 confederations cup but spain is better. we know mls isn't better, but we know it doesn't suck. it's a decent league, and its pretty fun to watch at times.
Thing is, here in the US, since MLS isn't nearly as popular here as EPL is in Britain, network channels don't have such exclusive and lucrative deals with the MLS- therefore allowing MLS to upload all these highlights. That plus MLS likes to upload these highlights as it helps boost MLS popularity and exposure. I don't think the EPL can upload highlights on YT without some of their networks causing a fuss. Probably could have worded that better...
This is terrific for the MLS. Obviously the MLS players are a lot fitter than Chelsea's players and it is a compilation of the best players in the MLS but to beat Chelsea is some achievement.
I agree with you to an extent, however there is a large amount of thinking involved in american football, and as for strategy and positioning taking a long, think of the stops in play and tactics involved in a nfl game they are huge, football (soccer) is consistently flowing, its easy to prove this as stoppage time is normally no more than 4mins. I'm sure the sport will continue to grow, passion i see is more than when i go to an arsenal game, so their on the right track.
the play made before the "lucky" goal was superb. To not get a goal after that would be un-deserved. does it matter who had the best team, who had played together for longest, who wasn't playing. It is a friendly and judging by the highlights, a bl**dy good one.
And that was between two major teams. When teams like Wigan, Wolves, QPR and Reading come even close to wining the title, then we can call it an exciting league.
MLS has only been around for 18 years or so, and we still won! We don't make $1,000,000 a match, but Kyle Beckerman, the player from my favorite team who got the assist for the winning goal makes about $600,000 a season despite playing for a relatively new league! The fact that PL players make Millions of pounds a season, and still lost to players making 20X less, means every player in the UK is extremely over-paid!
Finally an accurate comment. I'm an Everton supporter myself. I wouldn't put the national teams on par, cause even I think England has much more talent.
Please, to all the MLS fans saying this friendly match shows how good America can play football, your Dream Team barely defeated a team that ranked 6th in the English Premier League. Which is around 30 points ahead of the two leaders. Just my two cents.
Yeah. I support the English Premier League team Everton. I watched their game against D.C United of the MLS. Everton only played some of their top players (Marouane Fellaini, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Heitinga & Baines) Tim Howard wasn't in goal. Jan Mucha was. Because like you said, it would be embarrassing that an Everton player or a D.C player to get injured in a friendy. And yes i'm aware that Diniyar Bilyletdinov isn't at Everton anymore.
MLS has been around for 17 years (more like 10 if you don't count the first 7 years where they were completely unstable), and a payroll of one of normal clubs is probably higher than the collective salaries of this "all star" team
if Chelsea got that penalty most of the comments would have been like "Americans suck at football" "LOL they lost to a team that's only in pre-season" "Soccer 2-3 Football" Can we all just stop hating and accept the the MLS all stars won that match and it was a great game.
And you're saying that Serie A from Italy, Primer League from England, and La Liga doesn't import foreign players for both popularity and increase value for their clubs? ALL LEAGUES/CLUBS do their best to get the best that they can get. Doesn't matter what country the league is from. MLS clubs have the money, they'll buy them.
Remember what the coach of the All Star Team Said when asked " what's the difference between Chelsea and you're team" and he responded " about 3 million dollars per player "
Yes I'm quite confident every player in this game was high above league 1 and 2 quality. Almost all of them have had international team success for one, which you can't say about hardly any of the league 1 players. It's also about location. A lot of the players are from North or South America and don't want to travel across the world to play in a second tier league. Lots of MLS players do end up getting signed or loaned to top leagues too not 3rd tier ones.
It sucks that Europeans and Chelsea fans are getting mad about this. It's a friendly game guys come on. And for me, it's great just seeing the MLS able to win at this level at all. Just accept the defeat, not like it even matters anyways. Chelsea has won much more important games, so just let it be.
Don't forget the MLS team's players are not used to playing together! No matter how good the line-up might look, it's impossible for them to have the chemistry Chelsea players have.
Know what the best part of MLS is? *No one dives!!*
that's so fucking true
Almost* no one
Verdade
Now that we have Giovinco that isn't true
Know what the best in la liga? We have suarez the king of dives
Best MLS all star game ever. What a cast of characters for both sides!
Still watch in 2020
All of these comments hating and excuses as to why Chelsea lost but everybody forgot that Chelsea also lost to corinthians from Brazil a b team on the international club cup final , a loss is a loss and MLS won, plain and simple , I'm Brazilian but I support the MLS all stars and I'm very happy to see soccer growing up super fast here , give USA credit where credit is due !!!
Leonardo di parma thank you
Mls Got lucky
American Soccer is getting stronger and the world is getting nervous.
I’m actually surprised to see a Brazilian calling football soccer
the 2012 MLS all-star jerseys were the best so far!
And still is
@@luiscaetano6184 Agreed
Rule of thumb in soccer:
US team beats European Team = US got lucky/European team played their B team
European Team beats US team = See I told you the US sucks in soccer.
we beat ya in war hahahahaha
Try and play are sports and you will see what happen xD

Wow this league has really come a long way in talent level in just two years...
Thank you for saying this.
All the European teams that play the MLS all stars play there worst team
^bayern munich is not the worst haha and neither was chelsea
Bridger Barker he means they play the reserves team, or just subs - lesser known players
LIam harpis also not true, Bayern played a ton of their big stars BS mls all starts... And still lost.
Im from the UK and ive got to say im impressed with the progress the MLS is making. Just watched some highlights of some matches and i am plesantly surprised. The fans also seem to get into the matches creating decent atmosphere in the stadiums. Good work, keep it up!
If you were impressed 10 years ago, imagine now.
Great tackle at 1:49 !!
Effective Soccer Training I love your channel
I hope this type of results continue so the MLS will continue to grow
i love MLS more than JFA. From japan
That I would love to see. The best Premier players vs. the MLS All-stars.
Close ur eyes and imagine WWE ..uffhh Commentry!!
What a tackle on Lukaku
The sad thing is all the good MLS players are from Europe
🤣
the mls players only had 2 days to practice with each other. factor that in and its pretty balanced. love the Blues and love the MLS it was a good game
Oooo shit 2014 vs Bayern
Real Madrid you mean?
RevanGabriel
no, MLS All-Stars are playing Bayern Munich at Portland.

August 6, 9 pm ET
and MLS wins ;(

Exactly I like seeing all great players playing in a league rather than average players but you have a very solid point. I need to start watching more MLS before I sit here and argue with you.
y duz wondlowski score now and not agenst belgum
koi misspelled
He was just unlucky that match.
***** ik but WHY
He probably thought too much
ok
I love how the MLS uploads highlights of each game on youtube and I think the EPL should do the same.
They both do the same now
This is the only sport the Europeans can beat us in. So you can imagine how heartbreaking it is when they lose to us.
i think that's basically because no one really plays american sports
TheOrionStar I think you should rethink your comment completely. And I don't think i want to argue with a completely retarded statement like that.
CyberKnight ok please tell me which american sport is played properly in any country outside US?
First off, i never even mentioned "american sports" specifically. i only mentioned sports in general. that being said, hockey, baseball, basketball, swimming, soft ball, boxing, golf track and field, etc. But in american sports specifically, because you asked - basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, etc.
Hockey and baseball aren't American sports
It's great to see that football, soccer, whatever you want to call it, is catching on in the US. It's taken such a long time for us Americans to get with the program, but we're finally beginning to understand why it is the most popular sport worldwide. The team who wanted to win more won. We should give a credit to MLS which is quickly becoming a very exciting league.
A Chelsea Fan
They are even more exciting now.
FUCK YEAH MLS!!
MLS is the best!!!
***** it might not be the best but its my favorite league.
PieEater love the mls but were not the best.............. YET give it time and a huge salary cap increase and we can do it
MLS is no doubt the fastest growing and most underrated league in the world. If you don't like MLS it's very simple...Don't watch it and leave the fans the hell alone!
Story would change if Petr Cech and Fernando Torres was there
LOL Torres is useless now. He is definitely not worth $60 mill.
Lol Torres is a beast huh? Haha
Who the fuck is fernando torres? Lol
Yeah if Torres was there MLS would've had a clean sheet
We were playing with our youth players and players we just bought. The only one who's played a full 90 is Ivanovich. The all-stars are also in the middle of their season, while this is a pre-season match for Chelsea.

What? They wouldn't stand a single chance. At all.

Wow r u dumb or what, thats the UEFA champions league, we have the CONCACAF champions league and we already do that
They cant even win the CONCACAF tournament
I mean the Concacaf Champions League, every year is won by a mexican club
Good game. Glad to see MLS win.
Chelsea defenders didnt even try
I cant tell if Luiz was actually trying. Then again, it never seems that he is anyways. Now i know why we sent him to PSG.
I completely agree with you. Just to clear things up, I wasn't trying to say that soccer is the most strategic sport out there. +Sarah chittock Also it's not popular enough here for us to host. But I bet in 2026 USA will host it.

perfect highlights! cheers for that man

"we"
I very like atmosphere in MLS all-star team. It's perfect :)
mls is better than europe soccer!!!!
sarcastic bro?
Lol, US football is so horrible.
Yet we won and beat Bayern Munich this year. Oh and made it farther than England in WC.
Tedie
Winning against a B selection isnt really something to be proud of.
Didn't know destroyed means losing 2-1. Didn't know Lukaku, Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Terry etc. were all their "B" team. Only one missing was cech
The 2011/2012 title winner was only decided in the last few minutes of the final match of the season, with Manchester City drawing 3-3 with QPR. The final goal was scored in the closing minutes of the match... that, was exciting.
Fantastic assist from Kyle Beckerman! Truly one of the best and most mature midfielders ever!
What were you saying?
GREAT game
I must press like for the very best quality of this video
a soccer league at a higher level that you will ever be able to dream to play in.

great job,, love this channel
Yea EJ my man from Seattle getting the game winner in. Good game from our boys in MLS. Both teams played well but MLS came on top :3 way to go!
Seattle would win an MLS Cup 7 years later, in 2019
love it.. American Soccer is slowly getting respect! USA doing well in the Hex for world cup 2014 Brazil
2014?? Bro, They didn't even qualify for the 2018 World Cup
Considering the MLS started in 1996, I'd say they are doing a pretty good job. Although they don't have the history the European leagues have, they are still growing.
And they kept growing during these last 10 years
don't forget that a lot of these players came back from long breaks due to international duties while the retirement all stars have all been playing
Coming from an American, I think you're the one that needs to look up the rankings my friend. That being said, I really wish more of our top athletes would choose soccer as their sport of choice.
in the past 20 years football has turned from a game to a multi billion pound bushiness especially when the premier league came about
thats because soccer is an amazing sport
Chill guys, theres a reason why RDM didnt use cech, its just a friendly game. Anyway gotta give credits for the MLS all star team for playing brilliantly!
If Chelsea had Cech , trust me , they won't score silly goals like that .
the best highlighst on YT
yeah those were the starters except luiz. the mls scored the other two goals after they were subbed out and they put ferreira LB, Ivan CB, Luiz CB, and chalobah RB. Its not like the mls were bad though. They had some good players.
Look at the guy on the bottom left corner wearing the Chelsea shirt at 8:30! Love his reaction
its a friendly but remember 14 of the 16 total guys who played in this game for mls have international experience for their respective countries.
The MLS All-Stars are now officially the best team in Europe :)
You are sooo deluded
To be fair though, it WAS just a preseason match. That said, it's great to see MLS all stars playing well. The league really isn't as good as European leagues yet, but it's certainly improving pretty quickly.
I really think the mls is growing in America
like how spain lost to usa 2-0 in 2009 confederations cup but spain is better. we know mls isn't better, but we know it doesn't suck. it's a decent league, and its pretty fun to watch at times.
GO MLS! BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD
+Johnny Handegg Mls is growing give us a couple of years
+Wayne Bender trust me, it won't. The system is different from all the other leagues in the world and good footballers join your league to retire.
Now do Premier League All-Stars vs LAFC :)
Dear MLS, you guys should include subtitutions in highlight videos. Thank you.
This is terrific for the MLS. Obviously the MLS players are a lot fitter than Chelsea's players and it is a compilation of the best players in the MLS but to beat Chelsea is some achievement.
They also beat Bayern in 2014
this team -.- the best players of the MLS
USA - 10 major finals, 4 trophies
England - 1 final, 1 trophy (That was won with the ref as the 12th man)
I agree with you to an extent, however there is a large amount of thinking involved in american football, and as for strategy and positioning taking a long, think of the stops in play and tactics involved in a nfl game they are huge, football (soccer) is consistently flowing, its easy to prove this as stoppage time is normally no more than 4mins. actually every team in the BPL are good because it's THE most prestigious league in the world no exceptions, no arguments it is
Please, to all the MLS fans saying this friendly match shows how good America can play football, your Dream Team barely defeated a team that ranked 6th in the English Premier League. Which is around 30 points ahead of the two leaders.
Just my two cents.
pre season is about testing different players with different styles. this was not chelsea's strongest team by far
si tienen suerte, supongo que si...
pero ¿has visto lo final de CCL 2012?era dos clubes mexicanos en el final.Santos y Monterrey...
Yeah. I support the English Premier League team Everton. I watched their game against D.C United of the MLS. Everton only played some of their top players (Marouane Fellaini, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Heitinga & Baines)
Tim Howard wasn't in goal. Jan Mucha was.

if Chelsea got that penalty most of the comments would have been like
"Americans suck at football"
"LOL they lost to a team that's only in pre-season"
"Soccer 2-3 Football"
Can we all just stop hating and accept the the MLS all stars won that match and it was a great game.
1999 Kaiserslautern went up from second division and was leaguechampion the season after ^^

ALL LEAGUES/CLUBS do their best to get the best that they can get. Doesn't matter what country the league is from. MLS clubs have the money, they'll buy them.
Good point and you also notice in the last several days the EPL is taking some of our best MLS players to the leauge.
Exactly, such as Almiron
wow what a great game
Remember what the coach of the All Star Team Said when asked " what's the difference between Chelsea and you're team" and he responded " about 3 million dollars per player "
Also, what's wrong with luck? My boys Chelsea had so much luck on their incredible run to win the CL. It's a part of the game dude.
They are just jealous
I wish they have an "All Star Europe vs All Star Americas" that would be classic!
10 years later and still nothing
not to mention that most of the mls players are in theyre mid season while the premier started 2 days ago
Can someone tell me where the fireworks and basically the thumbnail is?
Real Madrid only beat the union last year 2-1 and Ronaldo played nearly 70 minutes. The mls is sooooo underrated
true but mls is getting better. But you are completly correct.
They also beat Bayern in 2014
