You people do realize the USA has an all star game for almost every sport. They don't put their best players together to win they do for a fun game which is done for every sport such as basketball and baseball. So why hate on the mls all star games they are great to watch
MLS team wins and people say "well Munich was in preseason, who cares?" MLS team loses and people say "Lol they lost. America and MLS sucks." So it's a catch 22 really :/ One was in preseason, the other had two training sessions to prepare. Overall it meant nothing, so who cares? It was an entertaining game.
Joseph Loveskimchi Get over it, the match was for marketing and meant nothing. Donovan getting MVP for only 20' playing was a joke. MLS goalkeeper was impressive. Henry was impressive for his age... still plays smart. Johnson and Olonso and a few others need to go back to tackling school. Complete joke! MLS is good and getting better. Too bad its run by a bunch of fools. But that can be said about the English FA, the Italian FA and the Spanish FA. It will get better and I am looking fwd to it. After my beloved Bayern is done for the season I can enjoy most of the MLS until Bundesliga starts again.
yea, this match had beautiful plays and goals! this is real football (or soccer doesn't matter how you say it) not the one that The Simpsons show in an episode, a game between Mexico and Portugal. I really want ppl from the US follow this sport a little more for them to know how exciting is. Great world cup this year the USMNT. I hope they win it someday (I'm from South America)
Yea they come to retire you idiot lol MLS can't get superstars in their prime so that's nothing to be proud of a retirement league is or an accomplishment
It's a exhibition match. Europeans hating because it has to do with America is pathetic and Americans bragging about winning a exhibition is ridiculous. It's football, it's soccer, it's whatever the fuck you want to call it and it's a game for all to enjoy playing or as a spectator. everyone needs to relax and just appreciate the fact that we have this beautiful game.
That was such a wicked sick shot by wright phillips. I didn't see the full game but it looked like Hamid and Romero were the star players. Such amazing saves. I'm a bayern fan but i'd be stupid to make excuses like my fellow fans. Good game
In general, I would consider the MLS a much more difficult league to win than most others in the world. MLS clubs have to work within certain restrictions that don't allow them to buy up the best talents from all over the world and field international all-star teams on a weekly basis. They are forced to make the best of the pieces they have. The front offices of most top European clubs would crumble if a similar system were imposed onto them.
"MLS has play-offs and is also one of the most physical leagues in the world." WHAT???? Watch any European national league game(not top game, just ANY), if you want to learn what physical football looks like. MLS seems like Disnayland compared to rest of footballing world when in comes to physical play.
Actually the restrictions to get best players for money are made for MLS own good. The first attempt to establish prof. soccer in USA failed just because clubs like NY cosmos were just bueing superstars(mostly retiring ones, like Pele, because European clubs immedeately put more money on the table to keep valuable young players home), without giving any chance to grassroots american players. Eventually public was not assotiating the clubs with their own town, palyers had no motivation because press was not really interested with that league and they all had to play in front of empty stands.
IF YOU HAVE TO PUT ALL THE BEST PLAYERS OF YOUR LEAGUE TOGETHER TO EVEN REMOTELY BE COMPETITIVE AGAINST AN EUROPEAN CLUB WHO IS IN PRESEASON AND PLAYED HIS SECOND STRING, YOU KNOW YOUR LEAGUE IS WEAK. AND SOME PLAYERS LITERALLY CAME BACK FROM VACATION HOURS AGO JUST TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE IN THE GAME......
Angel Di Maria are you? your league sucks and your national team is shit...why should I be mad ..we just won the world cup. IM PRETTY GOOD....wait a minute im gonna go watch the funal again. I'll be back in a minute
The All-Stars had what 2 days to prepare and get a team together. Yes most were American, but they all played the first half, but not a lot of chemistry is able to be built over 2 days. The second half was when we scored goals. Bayern played with every starter except Ribery at one point. Donovan even scored by shrugging of Dante and slashing it past Neur, the best keeper on the planet!
You know that this wasnt the top lineup except of ribery it was just an complete test lineup and otherwise the goalkeeper in this match was Tom Starke and not neuer i live in germany trust me i know better than you and im not saying this all because im a fan of Bayern Munich i hate them i say this because thats true

Eurosnobs: Look, soccer is our 5th most popular team sport, and it just got there recently... Unfortunately even these days, the ignorant majority still considers it the sport for the wimpy kids who can't make the American football team. So when you talk smack about the talent level of a league that was teetering on the edge of financial collapse just 10 years ago, all I hear is absolute terror: You're scared shitless about how fast this sport is growing here. Deep down, you all know that it's only a matter of time before the US starts producing world class clubs and players. So please bitch and moan. We are just getting started.
While I agree that many Europeans are behaving like whiney, little brats right now, I also don't agree with arrogant posts like yours.^^ I'm German and I'm happy about the fact that the U.S start to "care" more about football/soccer (even though I don't really believe that they don't care),but the mere fact that the majority of Americans still don't think very high of soccer will make it very hard for you guys to ever produce true world class players.I just don't see it happening, because, like you said it yourself, you have sports that are more popular. You have sports which are passed on from one generation to the next in the families along the road...so it doesn't matter how "powerful" your country is.(not that your powerfulness has anything to do with your disinterest in soccer anyway.) Your league and your national team is improving, yeah, but so are the other leagues and national teams, especially the European ones and many of them are already ahead of you,so I don't think that anything will change anytime soon. You will be getting even better in the future,I'm sure about that, but I don't think that you'll catch up with us.Many Americans claim your country is not interested in this sport and even if you were...your talented athletes are just that: Athletes. Many American soccer fans think, that if your athletes cared more about soccer than about your other top 4 sports that you'd become world-class or something.Bullshit.Being athletic is not everything...and everyone who knows at least a little bit about soccer knows that. You need to have talent and you need to have the smarts to get the stragedy behind the game. All these things aren't just handed to you like that.Scratch that idea mate.Your team did a fantastic game during the world-cup,your allstars team beat Bayern fair, but don't be delusional...you won't catch up as fast as you might think.15-20 years?NEVER! It's one thing to be optimistic about something, but arrogant posts like yours make it very hard for me to take Americans seriously. You are not the measure of all things and you are not the best at everything.Good luck for the future.I hope your countrymen stop pretending that they don't care about soccer just because you are not "the best" at it. ;) And to everyone else: The all-stars team beat a very strong Baverian team.Even though the "Superstars" weren't really "in the game" peps 11 was still good enough and should've beat this team, but they didn't.You have to give the american league some credit.;)
***** I honestly don't know what happened with the MLS in 2002. Sorry. I think I'd need to surf on the internet and read about it.I'm staying with my opinion though: What you can't forget is that the European teams are improving as well and they are already ahead of you and while I agree that being athletic makes any sports alot easier, doesn't change the fact that you need to have talent. An American athlete who's able to throw a ball into a net from I don't know where, isn't necessarily able to kick a ball properly. Many Americans claim that soccer is a "gay sport" and "too easy".The basics are easy and that's what makes it so much more difficult to stand out of the mass.I'm sure your team is going to get even better in upcoming years but as long as you have your other 4 sports soccer won't catch up.Sorry but I don't see it happening, but it would be great IF it happened. ;)
Tanja Lindenau really insightful comment :) the problem with the mls is the salary cap and trading restrictions... it keeps the league relatively winnable for most of the 18/19 teams but it does mean that it can never catch up to the major european leagues... though i do think if soccer/football were as popular as american football is here, then we would be in the top 10 nations 100%... simply because of the resources and facilities we could build... and the sheer depth of talent due to a large population that plays sports... but alas that isnt the case... however in the last year or so it has definitely changed for the better here... hopefully we can improve even more :)
StormsLetsPlays Thank you. :) I hope you'll improve even more too. The more people are getting exited about soccer the better. Top 10? Hmmm...I don't know. What many of you Americans forget is Europe and South America. You might have the resources or facilities but that's still not everything. Look at Brazil for example. Poor country and not as nearly as much resources as the U.S or Germany can provide for their players. How many world class players come from Brazil? Argentina?Soccer is "cheap" in it's origin when you see it like that. No expensive Equipment is needed. Kids in poorer countries put a ball together (sewing for example) mark some lines on the ground and start to play. And when you have the TALENT people are going to recoginize you and today many countries have the facilities and resources to support these talents (look at Messi and Barcelona) and I would go so far and say not less than the U.S could. If you don't have the money or resources there are others that give it to you as long as your team is successful. Money can help alot but you can't buy talent. Money might be an appeal to start playing soccer but it's not an miracle helper. ;)
Actually I agree that real football (not rugby in the astronauvt suit) is growing in USA. Problem is that it will never grow into something higher then 5th sport in the counry, and into anything bigger then a dumping bin for the "wimpy kids who can't make the NFL team". The good-al-conservative-gun-tooting-army loving folks will not allow it to happen. Unless MLS will do something radical to earn the hearts of conservative, patriotic Ameirca, not only the urban middle class. Like calling the teams some Christan names, like Kansas Good samarithans may be nad reading Bible before the game, or something similar. Or to send some MLS players to fight for marines, and somehow "discover" that soccer has American roots and Jefferson and Washinton loved the game(which might be true BTW, given the deep British roots of American "founding fathers)...By the way to the sing the anthem before MLS game? If not-forget it.
I'm from Europe and I think Bayern lost this match, no excuses. MLS is doing great improving their league and no reason to hate on that. I dont think people from Europe hate MSL just because they beat Bayern. Most of haters here are not from Europe, they are maybe from Asian, African or South American countries who just hate United States.
***** Football is about respect you dumb fool. Why to hate on their league? Whats wrong if they could improve recent years? Its true that they are still far behind European leagues. Actually Europe is "the heart" of football and I dont believe that someday any other continent will get more attention. But the more the sport rises in the U.S the more I interesting it becomes, because they will export their players to European Clubs. And yes there are a bunch of Asian groups of people who just hate anything relates ti USA. People from China, Vietnam, Japan and more..
Mevlan Isufi well you didnt have to call me that. That's really not a nice thing to say. All i asked was what country you were from. And i have never seen any negative comments about the league from anyone in asia. So yeah. And i always say that football brings the world together.
I've fallen in love with the way Americans play football (soccer) its more physical and more entertaining NO diving what so ever Props to the MLS and USA from England
I have watched mls since 1999. I can't even remember the scores of some of the mls all star games. Great game. Great performance. Great effort. And Pep Guardiola the hobo.
Whenever the USA or MLS wins, Eurosnobs always have the same 3 excuses: 1) "It was a friendly, only the USA/MLS takes them seriously." 2) " was not playing their A team." 3) "The USA/MLS did not deserve to win, they just got lucky"
taylormade060600 they did just come back hours before the game, that isn't the reason they lost though no excuse for Bayern (i am from Europe not all of us make excuses)
Respect back. The American football style of play is similar to the German style of play. Tough and physical. I'm sorry you guys have to deal with having Bayern in the Bundesliga, it'd be far more interesting if they weren't there haha
You are right. :) I'm so pissed off right now and started to watch second division of the Bundesliga.MUCH MORE ENTERTAINING. But when it comes to fans, atmosphere and prizes the first division Bundesliga is still way ahead of EPL and La Liga. :) It's a shame that I have only the internet to watch American soccer...*sniff*
This just shows that the MLS could grow to be one of the better leagues, yes Bayern had some players that just came back from wherever they were, but the All-Stars did play a very good match! Keep it up MLS, you'll be noticed as a great league soon!
Good showcase of football in the match. That passing display by Gotze and Muller was amazing. Still happy that the All-Stars came away with the win! :D
I hope they never go back to an East/West all-star game. It adds so much to have fans with something to root for, either for Bayern or for MLS as a league. It's also perfect to play a pre-season elite European team because the teams are relatively even. They're both squads of very good players who are not really playing in form as a team. You can't extrapolate a lot from this win, but it made for a better spectator experience than any other format for an all-star game.
Yes bayern played their backups, but the all stars played their second string in the second half as well. The same second half they scored in, and the same second half bayern brought on their first team players. So bayern fanboys stop using that as an excuse.
It's great for MLS to win this game. Both teams have great players. At the end of the day everyone knows Bayern is still one of the best teams in the world regardless of losing One friendly match.
Ok if people were surprised that Bayern played their backups like Green they really don't watch soccer. Now did this game really matter in a soccer sense? No. Did it matter in an American Media sense? Yes it did. That was the biggest reason for the game, not to show MLS is the best league in the world cause its not, it is ok at best with some stars here and there. The people who took offense to this game saying the MLS still sucks and all that just calm down we know all that and better yet who cares. In the end All Star Games in any sports don't amount to anything but FUN and ENTERTAINMENT. And to be truthful I love this game it was great to watch I want to see more All Star games like this in all sports if there can be.
That's the hard part. The US has the upper hand in Basketball and for NFL they are still having trouble trying to get international leagues going. So pretty much all we have for All-Stars are soccer, hockey, or basketball. If people would learn to work together then yea we can get something done. Best of luck.
I've seen a lot of Wright-Phillips goals this season, his movement is good and the boy can obviously finish. I don't see him moving anywhere else but he can play in Europe.
All the Americans thinking that they have something to brag about. Hahaha i dont support any german team and i still think that the fact Bayern didn't have their strongest team out and it took all the best players combined in the MLS to win shows how shit the league still is. Don't get me wrong you do have some world class players - Dempsey, Henry, Rimando
Dalton Morgan I actually would seeing as you do have some good players. But you wouldn't have a chance against beating a fully inform Bayern team though. It's not even an MLS team - its their whole LEAGUE.
MusicFTW02 abuser. Do you pretend a team from a league that now is getteing bigger and better. (MLS) beat a bayern munish, a team completly formed and with more then a century history. We all know united states as a nation of baseball, football, hocky, golf, boxing. And more. But soccer un usa getting better but with time. Slow.
so wrong? what the fuck are you on about. Last year this MLS side lost to a very shitty AS Roma side 3-1, year before that and this year they've managed to beat a half-squad Chelsea & Bayern Munich, when the real squad came on in the 80' minute pretty much. I have no idea why all these people think this MLS team actually did something to win. Look at both the goals, says enough. Over the top through ball, only thing that worked pretty much.
means nothing, put a BPL best team against them. Courtois Zabaleta Kompany Koscielny Clichy Yaya Toure Hazard Jesus Navas David Silva Aguero and Van Persie. or even BBVA. Diego Lopes Dani Alves Sergio Ramos Godin Marcelo Xabi Alonso Di Maria Ronaldo Iniesta Rakitic Messi
CasualGunner looooool CHICHY??? JESUS NAVAS?? DIEGO LOPEZ? VAN PERSIE?? DANIE ALVES?? XABI ALONSO??? WTF AND WHERE IS BALE????? AND MOTHERFUKING SUAREZ SHENIGUA? NAAA THIS IS TOOO FUNNY? THOSE TWO TEAMS WILL NEVER BE THE TOTS
comedien4321 any need for the caps? i can read your comment perfectly fine in normal writing. *Clichy *Dani Alves. a few players i left out and a few i included... the MLS allstar team is not the best of each position in the league. otherwise Cesar would of played as gk (even though he was on loan to the mls)
Robert Lewanowski who is one of the best players on Bayern Munich is Polish and many of the players on the mls all star aren't from America also MLS didn't have Tim Howard because he's in the Barclays Premier league
A bunch of players from the team A played for bayern (even though they weren't all starters) Such as Levandowski, Alaba, Rafinha, Gotze, Müller, .... You ppl should stop hating and give it an applause Stop giving a bunch of irrelevant excuses!! :D
Weren't most the players playing for Munich their 2nd stringers ...? Every year US soccer inches closer towards European soccer. I think we still have at least 14 years before we catch up..
They were Claudio Pizarro who is of Peruvian Nationality not German used to be Bayern best players, but he's 35 years old and if you watched the game against Mexican club Chivas he scored the winning goal without the top stars. So it is expected that Bayern was stunned at the loss.
The good players came on in the second half. They weren't using the three sub rule. The all star teams roster completely changed in the second half besides Henry#14 but he was subed for Donovan#10 a few minutes into the second half
Lets not forget the best players on Bayern came in IN THE SECOND HALF...this is too funny haha MLS all star team went 100 percent and still almost lost
Lets not forget that we are the MLS. An extremely young league with incredible growth over the past few years. We love our league no matter the quality and we will continue to support. 3 years ago we were playing in american football stadiums. Now almost every team has a soccer specific stadium. We love the sport here.
Roller sail Not sure if stupid or just trolling... Premier League as an entity is only three years older, sure. But the clubs have existed for wayyyy longer than that (the club I support, Southampton, started in 1885). MLS clubs are 20 years old at most. In fact, the only American sports franchises that existed when many of the PL's teams were founded that still exist are baseball teams, to my knowledge. And most equal? HAHAHAHA. In the 22 years of the Premier League, a grand total of four clubs have won it, and one of them only won it one time (that weird year where Blackburn edged out ManU on the last day). In MLS, 10 teams have won the Supporters Shield, and 9 have won MLS Cup. I'll give you the "massive growth" part though
Also don't forget that their first team couldn't score on us and we scored on their first team. Biased European go fuck yourself you elitist peice of shit.
Good game MLS and entertaining friendly. I think Bayern Munich commenters in here are taking this loss a little too seriously. You had your B squad and this MLS squad only played together for 2 training sessions. Anything could happen. But as for the game being rough, nah. 1, maybe 2 bad tackles.
Why does everyone think our national team is so bad? We are ranked 13th out of 200+ countries. I know those ratings aren't 100% accurate, but we are still in the top 1% of the world. We also made it to the quarter finals in the World Cup where teams like Italy and Spain didn't even get out of the group stage
1. So you're saying Nick Rimando should be Bayern's number 2 keeper, not Starke? So an American IS better than a Euro player?? 2. Landon did in fact score against the starting defenders and keeper Neuer. So... an MLS player IS good enough to score on the first team? 3. Lewandowski is pretty first team quality if you ask me, and he scored against the better of the two MLS keepers... but I guess I'll just listen to you and say he's garbage and that only Bayern's fabled "FIRST TEAM" could have changed the outcome. Weird how they didn't once they pulled him on and put on the rest.
Like hell they weren't trying the manager and staff were pissed after the match lmao. Pep said he wanted a rematch hahahahah. I think it's a case of them not being in form. This all star group is on level with a epl side easy, not a top one but lower to mid? hell yeah. It's not like they're some chumps.
LilRedRasta lmao yeah you got that right, probably up to a southampton or maybe tottenham, or maybe swansea lol, but yeah true they weren't playing like chumps, i guess it's because these games can really give the younger players a boost of confidence that they can step up their game in their respective clubs.
LilRedRasta Lets not get carried away. They seemed intense for the first 30 and the last 10 but in between they kept a low line of confrontation and were content to backpass. They never really went in for hard tackles either. If the fielded their final line-up from the kickoff we'd have been F'd. Bright side is I think our all stars are competitive with their twos.
LilRedRasta Pep was upset at the hard challenges and tackles his players were receiving because in the end, it's just a friendly game, not because he was losing a match that does mean shit...
I'm happy to see Mls All stars win against an european team....but. 1-Bayern was playing with the reserves 2-WTF??Mls all stars was celebrating they 2 friendly match goals?? 3-Bayern obviously don't cares too much about the friendlys
Astral Pep didnt ask for a rematch an he was yelling because the MLS All Stars played like it was a rugby game while the ref didnt do anything against that. It was a friendly, you dont play friendlies like that.
@TheOscar401 Go bugger yourself with a hot poker. No one plays friendlies like that. Only overcompetitive little cunts who arent aware that these games count for nothing. Typical american reaction.
Eeh oh well, this is by no means a "big stage", and while mls players were training vigorously, some bayern players were on vacation, and showed up the day of, with no training. If bayern took the game seriously, the players would have all been training, they would have all been made primaries on field, and they would have won. Simple as that.
The "second" team on the MLS all stars, who came in in the second half, was actually the better team. They scored two goals, and there defense got a shut out....... MLS all stars are not the best players anymore, there the most popular players.
There wasn't anything Rimando could do about that, Lewy put that to high for him to jump for. But i do agree with you about the most popular players, I think the fans are the ones who choose them not the actual soccer managers
Great competitive game, and a refreshing change from the snail-pace blowouts in the visiting team's favor. But I still think the ASG should go back to East vs West on a Saturday afternoon.
why are Europeans still complaining about calling this sport football? it's really funny how they try to teach viewers to stop calling it soccer. This has been going on ever since youtube was made, and still as today they don't even know where those words come from (youtube in general) or else this argument would've never existed.
Its official name is Association Football. Football is short for Association Football. Soccer is Short for Association Football. Both were terms that originated in England. Time to get over it already.

You are not the measure of all things and you are not the best at everything.Good luck for the future.I hope your countrymen stop pretending that they don't care about soccer just because you are not "the best" at it. ;)
And to everyone else: The all-stars team beat a very strong Baverian team.Even though the "Superstars" weren't really "in the game" peps 11 was still good enough and should've beat this team, but they didn't.You have to give the american league some credit.;)
Guarantee half of them are from Mexico... They just don't like anything related to US soccer/football.
Mevlan Isufi True.
What country in particular are you from? Im curious.
That and MLS has haters all over the place. But not Asia. Asia doesnt really care as much.
*****
Football is about respect you dumb fool.
American football/soccer is what German football/soccer used to be. Tough and physical
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what drugs do to you.
ain't no way you're not American saying this 😂
I have watched mls since 1999. I can't even remember the scores of some of the mls all star games. Great game. Great performance. Great effort. And Pep Guardiola the hobo.
Whenever the USA or MLS wins, Eurosnobs always have the same 3 excuses:
1) "It was a friendly, only the USA/MLS takes them seriously."
2) " was not playing their A team."
3) "The USA/MLS did not deserve to win, they just got lucky"
Ikr they are sore losers
and that the other team just came back from a vacation or some bullshit like that XD
taylormade060600 they did just come back hours before the game, that isn't the reason they lost though no excuse for Bayern (i am from Europe not all of us make excuses)
they were rly just back frm vacation and without training. besides only 2 to 3 first team players started.
USA sucks at soccer, its true! However, im a fan of NBA. I play basketball here in europe and my favourite league is NBA, i love MIAMI HEAT!
I live in Germany but I love the MLS.Very good from all the players! Respect from Germany(bayern hater ;)
Where is Jermain Defoe. An absolutely quality striker should be in the team
i 100% agree with you.
Injured
injured
Lewandowski 10 times better.
JuhoX are you fucking dense, we were talking about the mls team
This just shows that the MLS could grow to be one of the better leagues, yes Bayern had some players that just came back from wherever they were, but the All-Stars did play a very good match! Keep it up MLS, you'll be noticed as a great league soon!
🤡 never happened retirement league 🤣
1:52 if that was Bill Hamid in net, it would not be a goal. Lewandowski was just lucky that Rimando is short...
Good showcase of football in the match. That passing display by Gotze and Muller was amazing. Still happy that the All-Stars came away with the win! :D
From 0:43 - that was a great goal, shame Dempsey was offside!
Keeper didn’t try because he knew the offsides would be called
Good game and I'm glad the all-stars won!
The best possible players of the MLS can beat the bench and reserves of bayern congratulations
How delusional you are...
5:27 Oh look, Bradley being lazy again. Where have we seen that before? Hmmm
Great win for MLS. Obviously Bayern was in preseason, but MLs is improving as a league.
Yes bayern played their backups, but the all stars played their second string in the second half as well. The same second half they scored in, and the same second half bayern brought on their first team players. So bayern fanboys stop using that as an excuse.
Neuer
Lahm Boateng Martinez Alba
Alonso Schweinsteiger
Robben Müller Ribéry
Lewandowski
If this was a competitive game
MLS would have gotten SAVAGED
hahahahaha nice excuse ;)
Lewondoski started a trend with the volleys. There was 4 from the mls afterwards, including 2 goal... Its like showing a kid a magic trick
It's great for MLS to win this game. Both teams have great players. At the end of the day everyone knows Bayern is still one of the best teams in the world regardless of losing One friendly match.
Dam we Americans produce badass goalkeepers 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Daniel Ortiz Tell me two lol
Daniel Ortiz yea not bad but Europe still the best
Daniel Ortiz Europe has better goalkeepers
Ahmed Amin Most big football countries have better goalkeepers than the US.
france, brazil, germany, spain, argentina, belgium....
newjust fun Argentina doesn’t have a good goalkeeper
4:14 this commentary is pure gold 😂
Best of luck.
bitch its football! :)
Good job American soccer! Bradley Wright- Philip's goal was beautiful!
Thx for the video its a very good video!!I Like!!
I've seen a lot of Wright-Phillips goals this season, his movement is good and the boy can obviously finish. I don't see him moving anywhere else but he can play in Europe.
"I can't wait to see this 4some with Thierre Henry, Clint Dempsey, Martins and Zusi"
Lol try to contain your excitement Mr. Announcer
:14
Mls allstars played really well in both halts
Is there a goal Neuer won't raise his hand for offsides for?
Lol so true!!!!!!
wright phillips goal was beautiful :D
We know MLS is no where near European teams/leagues.
We still love MLS.
We call it soccer.
Stop telling us otherwise.
LOVE IT!!!
I'm surprised! Great saves from the keeper. Didn't expect the mls to win but good job
Great job All-Stars!
Guardiola proved what Zlatan Ibrahimovic was talking about.
.
Oh please, you wouldn't have given MLS a chance in hell of beating Bayern before the game so stop crying
Slow.
tulio J. cosma Considering you have literally the best players from your league all in one team your argument is pure bullshit.
***** Hahaha why would i be butthurt when i dont support bayern munich? Can you not read you dumb fat fuck.
MLS inspires the SBC matchups like to agree
MLS is so bueno, they beat anyone, best league on earth
Judging by your avi, you're high AF
Bayern had their backups (for the most part) but MLS had a team of guys that hadn't played together.
BUT IT WAS THE ALL STAR.do you know the difference?
dramatish salty
I'm Djiboutie and am so creat to see this nice match :) :)
HAHA Get in there MLS. Yet another example of how the Eurosnobs are so very wrong.
And I'm English.
so wrong? what the fuck are you on about.
WTF
AND WHERE IS BALE????? AND MOTHERFUKING SUAREZ SHENIGUA?
NAAA THIS IS TOOO FUNNY? THOSE TWO TEAMS WILL NEVER BE THE TOTS
comedien4321 any need for the caps? i can read your comment perfectly fine in normal writing. *Clichy *Dani Alves. a few players i left out and a few i included... the MLS allstar team is not the best of each position in the league. otherwise Cesar would of played as gk (even though he was on loan to the mls)
CasualGunner Cesar returned to QPR on July 25th.
If bayern munich were to really try they would have put neuer in net and chipped on their break aways
Neuer came on at the half
Its funny because Bayern has almost all players who are on the Germany international team so its basically like USA vs Germany
Yeah because Obafemi Martins and Thierry Henry are American!
No, it's not stupid
Robert Lewanowski who is one of the best players on Bayern Munich is Polish and many of the players on the mls all star aren't from America also MLS didn't have Tim Howard because he's in the Barclays Premier league
5:00 What fucking deflection. Where's the foul call by Yedlin BEFORE THAT. Straight up bodied an opponent out of the way, no ballplaying whatsoever.
A bunch of players from the team A played for bayern (even though they weren't all starters)
Such as Levandowski, Alaba, Rafinha, Gotze, Müller, ....
You ppl should stop hating and give it an applause
Stop giving a bunch of irrelevant excuses!! :D
Just beautiful.
Weren't most the players playing for Munich their 2nd stringers ...? Every year US soccer inches closer towards European soccer. I think we still have at least 14 years before we catch up..
Nah they played a good bit of starters. It was a good mix.
eh...some were. later on more of the first team players got subbed on.
The all star teams roster completely changed in the second half besides Henry#14 but he was subed for Donovan#10 a few minutes into the second half
i noticed lewandowski, shaqiri, muller, neuer.. so no?
Shame this was just a friendly cause that equaliser goal from the mls player could have been a puskas contender, what a goal
Another euroslob making excuses
Pancakes Fifa I live in connecticut lmfaooo
Also don't forget that their first team couldn't score on us and we scored on their first team. Biased European go fuck yourself you elitist peice of shit.
from this highlight this was a great game
At least no one can deny that a bunch of guys in America who only practiced for 2 DAYS is better then Bayern's second string. :)
Wright-Philips with an absolute ROCKET!! Very entertaining game.
Landon Donovan always saving the day!!
ROFL the EURO snobs over here. Bayern just BUYS players so other clubs don't have them and you say the BAD players played?
One of the best leagues? Not even close
Barclays Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 are far ahead of the MLS in popularity, quality of football and financial status
Zaid Ismail Umm MLS All Stars vs Chelsea?
Friendly games don't matter
And a significant portion of the MLS All Stars team have played in Europe for most of their careers
Meant round of 16 oops
Joe Lock
You were in an easy group. All you had to do is win against a very weak Portugal side and you somehow beat Ghana, who played 10x better.
^ by easy do you mean the "group of death"?
Joe Lock Because you haven't qualified for the 2018 World Cup.
its not even their first teaaaaam what a jokr
And again retired team??
same as MLS in the second half
It is in the second half
I wish Henry could play for USMNT
Great game by the All-Stars! although it seems Bayern weren't really trying, if they would have, they probably would have won or tied the game.
LilRedRasta
Lets not get carried away. They seemed intense for the first 30 and the last 10 but in between they kept a low line of confrontation and were content to backpass. They never really went in for hard tackles either. If the fielded their final line-up from the kickoff we'd have been F'd. Bright side is I think our all stars are competitive with their twos.
LilRedRasta
Pep was upset at the hard challenges and tackles his players were receiving because in the end, it's just a friendly game, not because he was losing a match that does mean shit...
TheSideWynders Did youlisten to his post game?
man I miss the oba and Dempsey connection they used to have.
I'm happy to see Mls All stars win against an european team....but.
1-Bayern was playing with the reserves
2-WTF??Mls all stars was celebrating they 2 friendly match goals??
3-Bayern obviously don't cares too much about the friendlys
Then why was pep yelling at the refs and asked for a rematch?? Don't say shit if you don't know shit
Astral One of the best team of the world ask for a friendly rematch vs MLS All Stars??. #DontBeStupid
Astral Pep didnt ask for a rematch an he was yelling because the MLS All Stars played like it was a rugby game while the ref didnt do anything against that. It was a friendly, you dont play friendlies like that.
malcroft01 Thanks for have explained the truth
@TheOscar401 Go bugger yourself with a hot poker. No one plays friendlies like that. Only overcompetitive little cunts who arent aware that these games count for nothing. Typical american reaction.
Eeh oh well, this is by no means a "big stage", and while mls players were training vigorously, some bayern players were on vacation, and showed up the day of, with no training. If bayern took the game seriously, the players would have all been training, they would have all been made primaries on field, and they would have won. Simple as that.
Who should the All-Stars face next:1. Real Madrid2. Barcelona3. PSG4. Juventus5. Athletico Madrid
arsenal
arsenal
Leicester City!
Doesn't matter who the face. The European teams always use their B squads
+MacKenzie McDermott Man U sure didn't
0:29 "bayern munitch" wow this commentator has never heard of the team OR the place ever before
its just the accent
The "second" team on the MLS all stars, who came in in the second half, was actually the better team. They scored two goals, and there defense got a shut out....... MLS all stars are not the best players anymore, there the most popular players.
But rimondo was amazing in the first half
+Jaime Heath besides the easy goal he let in
+hldtrm also Henry played well
There wasn't anything Rimando could do about that, Lewy put that to high for him to jump for.
But i do agree with you about the most popular players, I think the fans are the ones who choose them not the actual soccer managers
anyone hear after Bradley Wright Phillips retired😢
Didn't he move to LAFC?
lol that was by far not the strongest bayern team xD all the german players (WC players) wherent playing
at least not for long
Actually they all came in at one point and Ribery didn't play and he didn't go to the World Cup, so your entire comment is completely false.
Great competitive game, and a refreshing change from the snail-pace blowouts in the visiting team's favor. But I still think the ASG should go back to East vs West on a Saturday afternoon.
This is the only sport the Europeans can beat us in. So you can imagine how heartbreaking it is when they lose to us. Even to an Allstar team.
CyberKnight what about handball rugby tennis and probably all E-sports? just saying the sports I've got in my mind atm
Not CoD
CanadianBlackOps who plays cod?
awesome1ru Lol just trying to make a point

Why does the Mls get so many haters?? It's a nice league
mls all stars have a scary roster of players
Nostalgic game.
C'mon. First Rate Work. activity bless
Watched this in 2024, forgot wright-Phillips was an MLS goals merchant.
is funny how MLS ALL STARS beat the best club in the world and they start hating finding excuses GTFO learn to loose
beautiful game

in Henry attempt the bayern player touched the ball , if not will be surely a goal
why are Europeans still complaining about calling this sport football? it's really funny how they try to teach viewers to stop calling it soccer. This has been going on ever since youtube was made, and still as today they don't even know where those words come from (youtube in general) or else this argument would've never existed.
This is Footbal.
No Soccer.
+Jack Wincent Ka it doesn't matter it's the same game and the same ball
Its official name is Association Football. Football is short for Association Football. Soccer is Short for Association Football. Both were terms that originated in England. Time to get over it already.

So many excuses from the Eurosnobs. It's hilarious!
US Goal keeping was almost as impressive as the first two goals ,,, excellent!
But...MLS keepers suck... (Says every Eurosnob)
***** He will be the future of US Gk's! guys a beast! I bet he will be playing in Everton when Howard retires!
This was a great game. Very entertaining.
looks like the u.s won this one ;)
MLS . is a united states lueage . not canadian . there fore its usa . bayern munich a german team there fore germany . usa . germany . simple .

Ur stupid Bradley plays or Toronto FC
do some research ... then tell me if he plays for toronto fc...
You are stupid, not all us players played for mls but still got invited to the all star game. Same for Bayern.
