How does the Turbolamik integrate with the stock ecu? I have a USDM '99 SC400 (1UZ VVTI + A650E) and there's not an off the shelf kit stateside, but looking at what yall have done so far it seems that this should be more than possible. My stock 5 speed is on its last legs and if I could get the stock ECU happy, and get the Tubolamik the data it needs, the 8HP seems really hard to beat.
I’ve heard you can use the turbo lamik 8hp with your stock ecu to! This might be a option for me going from a a650e to 8hp70 , do you have to get a new driveshaft or can you pair this setup with your factory driveshaft
5.7/6.4 hemi’s in the charger/challenger use 8hp70’s not sure if they’ll work with a bmw shifter. I’d reach out to your preferred tcu manufacture to see your options
do you know what final drive is in the aristo? I have a 3.91 in my gs300 just looking how it deals with gearing.... Did this also have an aftermarket ECU or did you just use emulator to not have the dash light with warnings

I have 2jz ge and have all bmw 8hp stuff including tcu, adapter plate, etc. But this is the 1st time I hear you can connect the stock ecu to turbo lamik. I want to make the same swap leaving my engine stock for this season. And add standalone ecu+ turbo next year.
This is beautiful, legendary stuff for our Aristo cars. Is there a way to integrate the Works bell paddle shifter with this??

The Aristo kit we sell bolts straight up to the driveshaft.
Was this car able to keep cruise control?
Yes
With your kit which 8hp70 is required? In the states it seems impossible to find a N75 one…
We use the N57 gearbox which we can sell you if you need one.

@@lyderon37 I think the problem with those is trans tunnel clearance, but yes charger did come with them!
How much hp can this transmission hold? Do you guys offer the transmission already built to mate up to the car ( same car in the video )?
About 900bh depending on the torque output.
@@Whifbitzinaccurate that’s the 8hp50 with holds 500nm as the name suggests. The 900nm version comes in the v12 bmw

Don’t know the ratio but 3.91 will just about be ok. Standard ecu on this car with an emulator fitted.

It works with any ecu yes.
So is this transmission DCT or torque converter automatic and would you think this gearbox would work on a racecar where you need instant shifts?

So how is it holding up? Did the transmission tunnel have to be "massaged" or "modified"?
It does need some love taps with a hammer yes.

Yes, it is the GT86 steering wheel
The steering wheel though.
Customer fitted the steering wheel, we just wired up the paddles to work with the Turbolamik TCU.
