Remove Your Spiritual Cataract

Several years ago, I noticed my vision was deteriorating, and even with my glasses correcting myopia, I struggled to see clearly. The world around me lost its vibrancy, and colors were less vivid. A visit to my ophthalmologist revealed that I had cataracts and needed eye surgery. Cataracts, which can be caused by age, genetics, radiation, trauma, certain medications, and some diseases, clouded my vision until the surgery restored my sight.
This physical condition parallels a significant spiritual truth. Without light, many things remain undone. Just as the sun's setting brings darkness when there's no moon, spiritual cataracts can cloud our awareness of our spiritual inheritance, privileges, blessings, and powers. As children of God, we are all born with spiritual cataracts, but the Word of God can burn them away.
The powerful illumination of God's Word clears the darkness from our hearts. Just as untreated physical cataracts can lead to blindness, spiritual cataracts can cause spiritual blindness. Pray for spiritual surgery to remove these cataracts and prevent blindness to the incredible things God wants you to see.
