Great interview 👏👏🎶 Love the hardware in the background too; Gemini, Sub37, MPC Live II, Microfreak - great set of gear. Would love to see Hazel performing/jamming on this set-up 🙏🎶
Awesome as always. Just mentioning you can’t “debate for hours” because the name is pronounced moehg. That’s how Bob pronounced his own name. Should be respected imo. He was a great man rip. Back to the interview ;) Nice set of gear. Super Gemini!!
I think I listened to this interview like 3 or 4 times. I really like the EP as well. My wife says Hazel sounds like a more depressive Lana Del Rey. I don't think so but she means it as a compliment so...
Yeah you are brilliant Hazel but let's talk dollars (pounds/euros). Look at Goldfrapp's most successful songs. All pretty much are upbeat dance tracks ... or modified into dance tracks from the originals. While your stuff is esoteric and original, will it sell big time? Probably not. Of course this doesn't escape you and Nick. It does our heads in the infinite nature of music and instruments - but when you get into electronics then it's just crazy. So how are you deciding on what to ultimately stick with? How do you even remember your settings? What about when Moog, Roland, Korg, Yamaha (which owns 80 per cent of Korg?) etc come out with another whizz-bang machine? Are these crews sponsoring you btw? And then we have the electronic mics Goldfrapp etc are using ... and on-and-on it goes. How do you decide? When does the painter know the painting is "finished"? We note how clean and precise all your machinery is, and your home. There is tonnes of dust etc all over our guitars, amps and computers (it's impossible to keep anything clean). Nick! The interview is with the subject, don't talk too much. You'd be interesting to interview yourself.

Thoroughly enjoyed this as well as Hazel's new EP. It's lush and warm
Terrific interview, with lots of insights on composing, performing, the creative journey, and a lot more besides!
Great and interesting interview, thanks Nick & Hazel
Really nice interview! Thank you 🌻
Great to see a female artist featured as guest speakers on the show! We need more!!

I love Hazel's music
Nice interview!
Nice Super Gemini!
I think ... it is 👍.
@@ingolf7411This synth was the star at Superbooth, in my opinion.
Yes! I’ve been getting to know it a bit since this interview. Such a treat.
I hope you'll be posting some videos soon!

A very informative, interesting conversation. Is Hazel any relation to Hayley?

solo album!!!!
That Super Gemini is such a pleasing background... :)
You don't need a 3k synth to make great songs. It's just GAS
@@PedroMiguel-if3lladmiring how a synth looks isn't GAS lol
Hazel's voice as it leaps to the upper register reminds me of Tori Amos.
😊
