    I just spent 4 days camped out on the ice at Anvil. It was brutally slow. Only marked a few fish and nothing bit. You are a legend. I've been going through all of your laker content all day now wishing I was still out there. Maybe next time I go we could link up.

      The bad part about these vids is it only shows the highlights. you hear me say on here that I had been skunked for 4 straight days at one part of the season and that’s the truth! It’s not great all the time! keep plugging away, switch locations, and try to find some active fish! Let me know when you come back this way.

    Love that 20.17# at the 24 min mark. What a fight. I guess my normal Utah ice fishing lighter rods won't work. Do some use regular 5-6' rods? 1 fish like that would make a person's day.

    • @TrentWilliamsOutdoors1
      @TrentWilliamsOutdoors1  Год назад +1

      Just depends. If they’re small trout rods then no they won’t work. It’s of course possible to land one with lighter gear but will stress the fish out. Also you most likely wouldn’t get a good hook set on one if you really tried to target them with lighter rods.
      You could use a full sized rod! Just would be tougher to land them…especially in a hut
