- I got out on Flaming Gorge for a few days to jig up some Kokanee, however I found a pretty good pup lake trout bite instead and I share a few tips on what worked for me. Day one I caught my 12 lake trout limit with 3 rainbows, day 2 caught 6 pups and a bunch of fat rainbows.

Awesome!!!
Jigging is the way to go. They are so great to eat!
By far my favorite method for catching them! I'd rather jig and catch less fish than boring ole trolling.
Great video! Pretty good editing and you can tell how much you like to fish. Didn't matter if you had a 100 that day, every fish got you pumped! Keep them coming good content hopefully we will see you out there this year.
Appreciate the kind words! I can’t seem to scratch the itch enough haha!
Great video!
Thanks!
Nice job looked like a great time
FG is always a great time!
So do you just randomly stop and wait for fish? Or do you have spots you prefer where they hold? Edit: you just answered.. lol.
Always on the hunt!
@@austinolsonoutdoors3039 thanks man, Im headed out there this June and hope to get into some. sounds like moving around is the key.
@@chubbrock659 Big time in my experience. If you are on a school and they aren't biting, leave them. It's hard to do, I still find myself getting trapped on a school that is stingy and I waste a lot of time.
Hi, great video, what month is this?
August
Nice mix. Been a while.
Thanks brother!
How do you like your G Loomis rod? Couldn't tell if you had more than one. Also, are you using a leader with braid?
Love everything about G Loomis rods, I have two at the moment. I am using a 10lb fluorocarbon leader off of a 10lb braid for laker pups.
