Anyone else notice the progression of this is the same as MCU Avengers main theme? Sounds like marvel drew heavy inspiration from more than just DC characters.

They used part of the theme in Superman vs The Elite, and added some parts which are really good. I am still trying to find some sheet music or guitar tab for this theme, I think its some of the most epic superhero music ever written (even next to John Williams' Superman movie theme)

You know, the film is a load shorter; the clone combines *SPOILER* three aspects from three Supermen: he kills common criminals like the Kryptonian Eradicator (Last Son of Krypton), is a clone like Superboy (the Metropolis Kid) and is actually the villain of the story like the Cyborg Superman (the Man of Tomorrow). They can't add anything from Steel (the Man of Steel) since "keeping Superman's spirit alive" is too heroic.
@HevyMetalSnap624 There has been talk about the new Superman movies going dark like the recent Batman movies. Most people are against that because Superman represents American justice unlike Batman who represents black vengeance.
Chris Nolan has stated that he's going to treat the Superman and Batman films as completely separate franchises, and Superman will have a totally different theme to it. Considering his focus on Batman has been the psyche of costumed vigilantes and freakish villains as well as various overarching dramatic themes (first one: Fear, second one: Madness), I'd say he'll be going for the kinds of themes Superman is associated with, like hope and humility.
@Floffonlajn I think it is okay to have superheroes created by the same comic book staff to co-exist in animated films, but they should all be solo in live-action films. I cannot imagine Superman existing in the universe that the current Batman is in. People have made up a rumor that the Man of Steel will be mentioned at the very end of "The Dark Knight Rises"- but Christopher Nolan has confirmed that he wants his Batman series to have no mutual relations with the other DC comic superhero films.
They have not said anything about making the suit black- but that was what producer Jon Peters told Kevin Smith to make it when he had been hired to write a script for a Superman movie back in 1997 that never actually got filmed. Peters also told Smith he did not want Superman to be able to fly because he just absolutely despised the scenes in the 1978 film where the late Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder were doing their romantic flight. Everyone knows that would have ruined the character.

All characters such as Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White will be presented as if we already know who they are. As far as I know- the Superman character will still be traditional to the comics. I just hope this is what I expect and not another disappointment like "Superman Returns".

Well- I just hope they keep things traditional. I would prefer Superman to keep wearing blue and red rather than black. I also would like for him to keep fighting the American way rather than to become an angry god which is the rumor of what the next movies will have him being like. It has been said that Christopher Nolan may somehow become involved with the Superman films once the third Batman film has been completed- so they probably would end up going dark and having Superman more violent.
