The passion she had, I felt that on most of the Machine head songs. I reacted rather in my head like her and on the outside I just headbanged 'till I had a headache 😂🔥
But yeah the PASSION she had: I for sure know that! I just SHOW it differently
I LOVE THIS COMMENT SO MUCH! Thank you! I am so glad you can relate ^_^ ♥
@@HalfLifeSistah thank you! Absolutely! I love when other people can feel the same as I do with music 🍀🍀🍀
I don't think anybody has ever reacted so emphatically to a Machine Head song, including the band members themselves. I also don't see how anybody in the history of humanity gets off more to music than her.
🙃🥴🤗💖✊🏾🤘🏾🤷🏾♀️
I feel it in a similar way. I remember headbanging my neck sore to this song while crying and smiling at the same time
The blackening is a PERFECT album. Its on a very short list of flawless albums.
I know I'm late to the party (not the MH party) what other albums are on your very short list?
@@nrgchannel4484 ascendancy by trivium, follow the reaper by children of bodom, seventh son of a seventh sun are some that comes to mind. Could probably think of a few more. Rust in piece and master of puppers ofc but everyone knows that😜
@@nrgchannel4484 do you have any?
@Mrsofusen I agree with 7th son and the obvious 2. I'll have to give the 1st 2 a listen. Don't know Trivium that well. Never been a massive children fan but I'll give it a go.
I love the 1st stabbing westward album Ungod and the stone sour double of house of gold and bones but I seem to be in a minority with this.
@@nrgchannel4484 alright cool i will check it out!
The Blackening is one of the greatest metal albums of the last 15 years. MH had a crazy good run of epic songs between Through the Ashes of Empires and Bloodstone and Diamonds.
Wolf, check out I Am Hell, Imperium, Game Over, Sail into the Black, Darkness Within.
*"Descend The Shades Of Night", "Take Me Through The Fire", "Locust", "Bite The Bullet" ....*
Bloodstone and Locust kinda sucked. I honestly prefer Catharsis. Love me some rap metal. But yeah The Blackening is a masterpiece. Burn my Eyes is a tad better though. TTAOE isn't far behind. And The Burning Red is underrated.
PiousMoltar Bloodstone and Locust are amazing - close to their best.
Other than that I agree with you.
@@PiousMoltar Imo Locust>>>>> Catharsis
The Blackening and Unto The Locust are two perfect albums.. from beginning to end
This was the album that got me into Machine Head and really the only album I love if theirs. That said, this whole album is killer. I also love the editing on this video. Really made this whole reaction even more special.
What about burn my eyes thats a master piece
Burn the locus is a close second for me, but yeah this one is easily their best. Saw them on this tour at a smaller venue for this record and it literally started a riot. The entire place exploded into what can only be described as a riot. People were tearing shit down, climbing the walls and pillars, flipping the showcases. It was INSANE. They just kept playing through the whole thing. Best concert of my life.
U should check out their debut album Burn My Eyes it's even better the The Blackening
Sistah the way you feel music is a precious gift indeed, don't let anything or anyone make you feel otherwise
I really appreciate you. Thank you, love 😌🤗😘💖✊🏾🤘🏾
Machine head fan sinze they started , they are even better live ..very very good live.
They were incredible live. I've only got to see them once. And it was because they happened to fill in for someone else. So glad that happened.
Wolf I really don't think that you have to apologize or even necessarily try to shorten the videos. One of the reasons why this channel is so good is because of your metal history lessons input and generally interesting input. I'm looking forward to hearing more of that when the time comes to Opeth again, especially since it's a band that you aren't that familiar with already :)
I've never reacted like that to any song unfortunately. Seems like synesthesia really makes good stuff that much better, although I would imagine that it might work the other way in the bad direction also. I've never really been hooked on Machine Heads music either, although have have made stuff that I like. Seems like they've always just missed something. This song is however by far the best I've heard from them. As a prog head, I really enjoy the long and unconventional song format, so that probably has something to do with it.
Hey bro I love machine head and opeth. Im goin to see opeth and machine head on feb.14th and feb.15th
Thank you for your input 😊🤗💖✊🏾🤘🏾
Sistah was really ridin' the lightning on this one :)
hahaahahaha xDDD Yeeeaaahhh ^_^ ♥ \m/
No explanation needed Wolf. I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I'm willing to bet that the majority of the active followers of this channel are here for Sistah's heartfelt, raw reactions, and your thorough analysis. It's the only long-form reaction channel with excellent content.
That is exactly why I watch Wolf and Sistah. 👍
***Reaction Starts at **00:07:48*****
I have to say: This song took me by surprise! My reaction was not as over the top, as I remembered and I'm happy about that, lol. I hope you all enjoy this song and can appreciate and understand my reaction.
To those of you who enjoyed this song, comment below and tell me if this song has any affect on you? I'm not sure if what I was experiencing was due to my (possible) Synesthesia, or if it was simply a kick ass doing?! ♥️
I recommend Machine Head's This is Who We Are, Locust, and Together Now We Die. (While I'm thinking of them)
And also Trivium's Tread the Floods, At the End of the War, and Betrayer.
No ruah or anything, but these are some damn good songs. ;)
Hey Sistah!! Coming back again with the great content as usual. 😘❤
I had to shut my eys for a significant portion because the editing was making me seasick - and I'm an experienced sailor! 🤦
Can you react to Floor Jansen and Henk Poort doing Phantom of the Opera on "Beste Zangers "? ❤️ 😘
The song has not that much effect on me 😅. I like some parts of it like the crazy rythmes or some of the harmonies. But the way you reacted to that song is incredible 🙂. I think the closest I can be to "feeling the music" is when I (can) play cello in orchestra. I can feel the sound in my body as I'm surround by vibrations from the instruments (cello lies on the chest and vibrates directly in it), and the energy of everyone sharing/telling emotions through their instruments. That's a wonderfull feeling 🤗. When I watch you react, I have the feeling that's the same but multiplied by 1000 ! It's always great to see other perceptions of the music 🤟.
Imagine what she act like while listening to Regular People by Pantera
This is my first time hearing them. What immediately strikes me is the unpredictable patterns of technique that the guitarist uses in his riffing and lick sequences. That and his tone are both top notch. It's not at all easy to play a clear harmonic in the middle of a fast-picked sequence, distorted or not.
This entire album (the blackening) is exceptional and this is coming from someone who is not a fan of this band. Magic happened in the studio with this release.
The harmonics are a major part of the Machine Head sound.
@@Bryan-T Their career was almost in the toilet before this. Being dropped by their label and the fan backlash from 'Supercharger' almost sunk the band. Robb knew he had to pull something special out of the bag so he said "Time to do our 'Master of Puppets'..."
The whole cd is fantastic check out Through The Ashes Of Empires to its amazing.
This album is their masterpiece. I honestly don't think they'd even exist today without this album.
MH's angriest song is 'Game Over' from the massively under-rated 'Bloodstone and Diamonds' album. I think it was written about former bassist Adam Duce.
you prolly never heard of Five or Trephination.
Especially Five as Robb refuses to play it live.
I can't imagine what could happen if you listen to 'I Am Hell' from MH.
I reacted the same way to this entire album. It's truly a masterpiece.
I hardly ever reply to any RUclips stuff, but I couldn't hold out on this reaction :). I've been a lead guitar player for 18 years (and subscriber since your Ghost Love Score reaction ;)) and I do have to say, mostly I agree with Wolf on Machine Head... Accept when it comes down to this album. The Blackening is a high-five-in-the-face-with-a-chair-album, from start to ending. The album has very rightfully been called "the Master of Puppets of this century". The songwriting, the aggression, the diversity, the honesty of the lyrics, the drums (Dave McClain is one of the best metal drummers in history of metal!), the harmonies...just everything! This album is one my all-time favorites. It's the perfect thrash-groove metal crossover with amazing musical and instrumental virtuosity. The complexity of the songs, and the album as a whole takes a couple of listening sessions. Sistah, I fully understand your reaction to this video! "Aesthetics of Hate" though is one of my other favorites, but in my honest opinion, the most touching songs on this album are "Halo" and "A Farewell to Arms". The latter being my favourite of the two and is actually the only Machine Head song that every truely made me forget where I was at that moment. The lyrics of that song are also amazing!
Im not a patreon or anything, but I would advice you guys to listen to Evergrey! Especially with your love for Nightwish, I think Evergrey is a must-listen-to band. They even did a song with Floor together called "In Orbit", and although its great... its not one of my favourites. Their bigger hits would be "Sorry", "King of Errors", "A Touch of Blessing", "Recreation Day", but I would recommend "A silent Arc", "All I Have", "Distance", or my personal favorite "Departure". Believe me, you will NOT regret it! They are one of those underrated bands that just deserve more attention.
Wolf, never appologize for ranting. Listening to you is one of the reasons why I'm crazy about you guys. Love your well-founded opinions, even when I dont always agree with you (but I do most of the times). And please do NOT make your videos shorter guys! There are more than enough reaction videos on RUclips that go like: "Ok, wow, nice song. See you in the next video!" I will never follow those kind of channels!
And now I have to apologize for my rant ;).
Thank you guys and keep doing what you are doing!
Oh wow :))))) Thank you sssoooo very much! Your words are so encouraging. I will make sure Wolf sees this. ;)
I'm so glad that you feel and understand where my emotions come from. That is so refreshing!
I have no control over what I react to and quite frankly LISTEN to anymore, lol. My musical journey has taken control of my musical listening experience ^_^ But, I will see to it that Wolf sees this and see if he will be open to us hearing those songs that you mentions.
Thank you for taking time to leave your comment. It means a lot (((hugs))) ♥
Keep it Metal \m/
@@HalfLifeSistah Thank you for your reply! And again, keep doing what you are doing! It always makes my day!
Agree with U 100% I'm not a big machine head fan but this album blew me away😎😎😎
Solo from Floods by Pantera will make you cry
This album right here, The Blackening, is one of the best metal albums ever recorded. Definitely a dark horse.
Sistah had another eargasm!
I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to The Blackening. One of my top 5 albums ever. Machine Head smashed it with this album start to finish
To be fair The Blackening is a pretty sick album and i actually believe it to be the one truly great album in what is a predominantly unremarkable discography...with the exception of course of Burn My Eye's and...I don't know...the jury's still out on Through Ashes of Empires for me...there are great songs on it but I don't know if I think the album itself is really "great", certainly a big step up from what they were making between Burn My Eye's and that...
Still, regardless of what I think, there are plenty of material by them for HalfLifeSistah to discover. :)
I think all their albums except Supercharger, The Burning Red and Catharsis are brilliant. Especially The Blackening.
@@Taurus1337 I just remember buying a copy of Unto the Locust and almost right away after putting it on I very much regretted spending money on it, it just felt so generic, edging on mediocre, I mean it's very possible that my own expectations of it, given how good The Blackening was (and is), we're just too high but whatever I expected it to be is very far from what it is.
Check out Unto the Locust and Bloodstone & Diamonds.
The Blackening and Unto the Locust for me
The more things change is a great album.
HAHAHA,the Video Special Effects are Mind BLOWING ;) ...i have never ever seen a reaction like this before....but i have seen Machine Head several Times Live and i can tell you,one of the Best Live Bands ever !!!!
Wow just watched this now...that's what I call a metalgasm....love you Halflife Sistah 😄🤘🏽🎶
on every single album by Machine Head, it’s always ripping fast in some way, heavy asf, always got them harmonics, and the guitar tone is always sooooooooo chunky and perfect
this album restored my belief in metal when it came out! Cause at the time it felt a bit like metal was over, you had all those super radio friendly new metal bands just putting out utter shite, then along come Machine Head, who themselves have dabbled in some new metal, and drop this with no warning! It was beyond awesome, and it still is :)
You two have the best reaction channel ever..
You FEEL the music.
Its so glorious!!!
Thank you, baby :) ♥
@@HalfLifeSistah Thank YOU! Much love from Sweden!

Just waiting for someone to say Orgasm... XD
I was going to say it... ahahahahahah \m/
Machine Head doesn't get enough credit for their transitions. Their ability to navigate emotional landscapes is top tier.
The Blackening is one of the greatest American metal albums ever written. I will fight anyone that disagrees. Never apologize to anyone for feeling music on such intimate levels. Bands like this saved my life and if I had to apologize for the feels I got I'd be dead now.
Got the chance to see MH live 2 years ago. This song was fucking insane live.
LOVE THAT SONG. LOVE THAT ALBUM. That reaction is absolutely priceless.
I consider The Blackening to be their "master of puppets" so to say. Not much of a fan of albums after this for some reason, and esp Rob himself, but this albums slays.
Somebody needs a hug
I LOVE these reaction videos! Pure raw emotions to perfect music! ❤❤
(Have you heard the Floor Jansen(Nightwish!❤❤) & Henk Poort - Phantom of the Opera yet? That made 90% of the Netherlands cry too ❤!)
And no, I've never seen anyone reacting like that 😂
I am looking forward to reacting to that song!!✊🏾🤘🏾
And hey... You didn't have to actually answer his question, lol 🤭🤷🏾♀️😂💖
@@HalfLifeSistah Get the tissues ready for Floor and Henk! 😋 I have a feeling it may elicit the same reaction as this.
I always forget that songs over 10 minutes long. It never seems that long.
That's because you enjoy it, when you enjoy something you never clockwatch.
I think Sistah would really like Wipe Away the Tears!
You need to check Insomnium - Pale Morning Star
And While We Sleep too.
One of a song! Probably because Winter Gate is my favourite album from Insomnium and Pale Morning Star is bringing me same emotions...One thing for sure - great great album from Insomnium!
My opinion : the best song from The Blackening is "A farewell to arms".
This is the top of the mountain for machine head.
12:59 Hahaha!
Became a patron just to see the Aesthetics Of Hate reaction! While I've never cried over an MH song, this reaction did take me back to hearing them for the first time in the 90's. It was kind of a game-changer for me. Hope you guys also react to Imperium video by these guys, such a great song.
Appreciate that, thank you! I should have that up by the weekend along with that fan made vid ✊🤘
Thank you, love! 😊🤗😘
I really want to hear MORE from machine head and I hope my Patron make that happen 😌🙃🥴🌻✊🏾🤘🏾💖
You think the song is ending and then boom, again, again and again🦾 masterpiece 👏👏
You need to react to something by bolt thrower. I haven't seen any big reaction channel do that yet tbh.
When this song makes her cry what would "A farewell to arms" or "halo" do then? 😅
she is just fuggin goin like “😱😂😨🥱🤐🤐🥴🤤😐🤤🤐😑😵😐😷😶🤥🤥🤐🤤😑🥱😑😮🤔🤤😥🤥😵🤫😵🤫🤐😥😷😥🤧🥶🤔🤗😓😓😴😑🤗🥵🥴😓😓”
'The Blackening' is one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
Love how she embraced the song, the hype even affected your buddy
Holy shit, this is how I always felt on Machine Head how she reacted at the beginning! AWESOME!
Jeez is there anything hotter than a lovely ladie enjoying great music 👌
Wolf needs to sit down with this album for a while. It will for sure change his mind on Machine Head. This whole album is truly a master work.
I saw them on this tour!!!!!! One of my favorite concerts ever. I had to get this album on vinyl and have worn it out!
Machine Head was Deep Purples Best early album Space Truckin',Lazy,Pictures of Home,Never Before, Highway Star, and Smoke on the water all on one album ]:P

Hey, there is a new floor jansen beste zangers video out. I am sure others have mentioned it, butjustin case I thought I would mention it. Its her doing phantom of the opera
I love this album! Trying to find it on vinyl is rough and expensive.
Your reaction makes me want to go up to the attic and dig out the Blackening album for my car stereo tmro ! 💪 🎸 🎤

Lovely as ever x Your opinions are wanted and valid

Hey guys, could you take a look (if you haven't already) at The Phantom of the Opera from Beste Zangers with Floor Jansen and Henk Port? They have performed amazing songs, but that duet is really something else, you already know Floor from Nightwish and other works, and Henk played the Phantom on the Dutch play, I think you'll like that one 😊
Love that reaction!! I saw them in England last year and they started with this, my head almost exploded! Not quite in a Sistah way though!! 🤘
Wow, bro. I haven't heard Machine Head in a loong time. Thanks for that. Check out After the Burial - Lost in the Static. As an old metalhead, this song still makes me do 100 on back roads.

Dam that was heavy asf!
The blackening is an amazing experience from front to back 🤘🏻
Hey Wolf! Who are your top 10 favorite metal bands?
Damageplan - moment of truth!
Dude u gotta open your mind... MH are truly spiritual in impact!!!
I've watched several reaction videos, to several different genres and I love the way you react so genuinely to all of them. You actually make us feel what sort of vibes go through your body, to each and every song.
I practically cried with you when watching you cry to "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish, right up to the fun you had while watching this video.
Please don't apologize for getting carried away in your reactions, this is exactly what we expect when we are watching.
God Bless and stay safe
Hilarious! I was laughing and crying at the same time due to the reaction, the views Wolf gives Sista and the love you put in editing.
Wow. All time great.
This is kind of a meta reaction thing. See, I have never been into Machine Head, too. It simply doesn't resonate. But: seeing someone feeling what it feels like when a song resonates is undeniably my favourite part of watching reactions.
Thank you 🥴🤗💖✊🏾🤘🏾
I'd like to see them react to the cover Disturbed did for The sound of silence. It's extremely powerful and no doubt will make both of them tear up.
can't believe i missed this one.
this is one of the best songs machine head has, hands down!
No Worries Wolf. We get it.
Floor Jansen recently sang Phanton of the Opera with Henk Poort! Please check it out. You'll be blown away! 😁
You guys need to check out tracks from their 1st album Burn My Eyes...they’re doing a 25th anniversary tour of the album as we speak with most of the original members. A Nation On Fire or I’m Your God Now are awesome but then the whole album is frickin’ sick.
Has Wolf heard Burn My Eyes? and if so did he hear it in 90s before that "chug"/breakdown/groove stuff was watered down by nu-metal and metalcore?
Just wondering for some context for his indifference towards Machine Head.
Mercyful Fate - "A Dangerous Meeting"
