Where do you live? I lived on the island from the 80s to the mid 90s. From being a kid to teen. I hated the place and moved away in 1996. This upload is just a lie, well maybe not a 'lie' but certainly not balanced. People on youtube would rather be 'positive' than truthful. High unemplyment, many living on benefits, insular thinking, crime, drugs......

It is said that Isle of sheppy is named after Sheep. But geographically isles are sandy with coastal nature., with meager grass land/ meadow., like seen in this video. Also sheep rearing or sheep grassing over meadows at the Isle of sheppy are not seen in this video.
Wikipedia says that "Isle of Sheppy is Shellness"., which must be correct. We can see the naturalist & tourists collecting sea shells/ sheppies.
Shippi is the Tamil name for sea shell.Australians call sea shells as sippi. There are 19000 Tamil named places all over the world especially at Korea, Philippines & Singapore.60% of English words resemble Tamil(got ready proof if wanted).
It is historically proved that Initially Tamils had been ruling the world., who are the original inhabitants of earth.Tamils are Indians - all the Indian languages resemble Tamil.
When we Tamils have visited Isle of sheppy..in 2019., Kids collecting sea shells & playing sand castles., we felt some connection between the Isle of Sheppy & Sippi.
This is for your kind information as you would be interested to know about it.

I know sheppey very well, most of sheppey is rural made up of marshland, that's where the "sheepy" sheep graze, - - like you say, just not featured on the footage. But they are there. 😊

All things considered I think Mr Newell and the other residents in that area are showing considerable restraint. The stress must be absolutely unbearable especially when you consider just how SLOW the wheels within Parliament turn. Of course, we all know that IF a Govnt. Minister was among the soon to be victims, work would already begun in earnest but everyone and every department passes the buck. Politicians are shameless and a disgrace to boot. As usual. IF the work necessary and the costs were about some TOTALLY NONSENSICAL whim or idea coming from someone regarded as important - even though they weren't it would be done. Dig deep you mean, tight-fisted lot after all the money you are refusing to use to assist Mr Newell and friends is likely THEIRS anyway!

'Fund raising Zulus'. Oh, dear. Are they still burning witches and carrying out human sacrifices on the island as well?
