What an awesome speed machine! In my opinion, the Polaris line up from 1993-1995, had the most beautiful sleds ever made. The STORM, RXL, and XLT Special were absolute eye candy😍
Awesome video my friend ! thanks for covering the classic sleds from that era. I owned a 93 RXL 650 AND IT WAS A SCREAMER! wish I'd have kept it. But milage was getting up there. That storm is beautiful ! Thnx
Man that machine sure brings back memories. My uncle had one. Such an animal! I had a 650 indy. I could hang until towards the top half..then he was gone. So so fast.
This video hurts my heart! I was 22 in 93 & we live in a Lake Community, I bought the 750 & had it modified quite a bit. It was stolen a couple yrs later during the summer & I had been irresponsible & let the insurance lapse for the summer, still had payments to make & nothing to show for it. Never recovered! I just lost my Mother (83) 1/2/2023 after a horrific battle with Dementia, may she RIP. My brother-in-law whom I grew up riding with, I introduced him to my sister, were just talking about those days & my stolen sled & how sick it still makes me! I had it pinstriped "Weather The Storm" on the hood. I still look for that thing to this day, although I'm sure it was unrecognizable with days. May she RIP also! Beautiful video! Sub'd!
Vmax 4 you mentioned is actually twin pipe, not four. But four cylinders of course. Great video, please continue posting these classic era sleds. These are becoming more and more popular amongst people like me who have lived their teens when these were new.
Thanks for the show around! It certainly was an interesting era for snowmobiles. I am a lake runner by heart, my holiday sled is a RX-1 and I love to let her loose on a good lake trail.
Valdi Thank You for posting. I started snowmobiling with my brother Steve in the early 70s in Pennsylvania then moved out to California. Started snowmobiling again in 2015 in the Sierras. Your videos inform me what I missed in the 60s, late 70s, 80s, and 90s. You are my snowmobile time machine. Kindly Keep it Up. Good Riding for you this Season!!
Great old machines!! I think the term "Hyper sled" was coming out around that same time for the bigger triple and quad motors above 750cc. and muscle sleds were the the usual twins in slightly smaller displacement.
Hello I purchased an SKS 750 storm brand new... Those Blue springs on your shocks in the front we're not factory.... And you might want to mention that engine came from the water craft division of Polaris... The year that came out on snowcheck we're not delivered to the dealer Network until the first week of December.... Factories explanation was still trying to fit those pipes under the hood... I drove -7800 miles... Very trouble-free machine... But if you blew a belt at top speed watch out it might take your left foot off.... This was a steel cylinder engine... 94-95 where Nick Cacile.... 94-95 also had a recall on getting the porting deburred they had a few issues.
The sled I was riding when I met my wife was a 95 INDY, XLT/XCR white and playboy pink!..wish I still had it for sentimental reasons..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
My brother is a collector he has around one hundred sleds . If he drives say 7 hours one way and does not like what he sees then he goes back home they all are like new ! A must see
Currently own a '95 storm. Bought it with all original parts. Only change i made was plastic skis. She may need a overhaul this fall to keep her in good shape. But wouldn't trade it for a newer model!
Sorry... that was not fast for a big triple back then. 650/700cc class machines would do that...my '93 Wildcat 700 would have smoked you (usually only T-Cats beat me from 80 mph on).
We had a 1993 xlt 580 which was piped and clutch . That sled was fast enough back when I was 16 to.18. we always had a 94 Indy 440. That sled would max out around 80 or so. But it was light weight enough. Jumping and riding on rivers were really fun. That engine was bulletproof just like the Indy 500.
I own a 93 and 96 storm and 650 that’s all ported and polished and piped all 3 are very fast and I just got arctic cat 2007 F1000 I don’t race just trail rider there all great machines
Let me tell you why all the stock exhausts are in the dumpster. I had a Storm and changed the pipes to aftermarket SLP pipes in my case. It was like the sled was transformed, it felt like you took a wheelbarrow full of rocks out from under the hood. The stock exhaust was soo bad it had to go.
I think the official muscle sled era started in 1976 with the Yamaha SRX and continued through the 80s with the El Tigres and Polaris Indy 600s and 650s....
I think you could make a case for the 88 wild cat 650 and the indy 650 and skidoo 617 mach . Starting the muscle wars. Although we all know that doo didn't stand a chance back then
I remember my uncle letting me take his 1997 Yamaha 700 for a spin when I was probably 12 or 13 years old. Way too much horsepower for an inexperienced rider. Imagine my excitement when I realized it was an American snowmobile, and I was doing 70 MILES an hour, not kilometres.
You want to sale that polaris storm....? And the vmax 4 did come with 4 pipes......! I bought one back in the day with 4 pipes! Band new some may have not. But won i bought did brand new.......!
Yes, in January, via online auction, I will sell first year triple-triple Polaris STORM, Yamaha Vmax-4, Ski Doo Mach Z and Arctic Cat Thundercat. See: www.auctionmasters.com/auctions/detail/bw93518
93, I was 9 and thought guys on those were so cool and yes, any neon was in style.

The xc and xcr 97-98 looked great and jab Xtra 10 suspension.
xcr 440 red rocket 😍😍@@jaydaniels4858

I love the 'Classics'! Thats when snowmobiling WAS snowmobiling! Miss those days!
'92 VMax-4 video... '93 MachZ triple video... and This Storm video.. all so clean and nice. Thanks for history lesson.
My buddy still has his 750cc storm...2900miles ..great machine's, throttle pull sucks, but she's a screamer..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Beautiful Storm! Love to see them on the snow and here the triple pipes sing!
Man that machine sure brings back memories. My uncle had one. Such an animal! I had a 650 indy. I could hang until towards the top half..then he was gone. So so fast.
Nice sled and nice video. You're a great speaker. Very charismatic 👌

Thats so clean. I honestly was not expecting what I saw under the hood, what a beauty.
See fellas how nice these sleds look when you don't put a ton of aftermarket garbage on them and then wonder why you can't sell it? Looks nice huh??
These were fun boat anchors 🤣🤣
I had a 94 Storm 800. Fun.
Beautiful. Still a boat anchor ⚓ 😂
I felt like my 1988 polaris 650 indy sks was a muscle sled. Appreciate your content and knowledge on these sleds.
Vmax 4 you mentioned is actually twin pipe, not four. But four cylinders of course. Great video, please continue posting these classic era sleds. These are becoming more and more popular amongst people like me who have lived their teens when these were new.
Stock V-max4 had twin pipes..mine had 4 beautiful horns twisted and built by the master Tim Bender himself..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Ya this old man really doesn’t have a clue he reviewed the 93 Mach z and said it was 744 cc
Thanks for the show around! It certainly was an interesting era for snowmobiles. I am a lake runner by heart, my holiday sled is a RX-1 and I love to let her loose on a good lake trail.

I love the sleds he's got. My favorite sleds were the 90s ones by far.
I love this sled. Such a beautiful machine.

Wow! Love the speedometer look on these old sleds. My dads buddies sled is a Polaris 1996 XC 600.
Currently own a '95 storm. Bought it with all original parts. Only change i made was plastic skis. She may need a overhaul this fall to keep her in good shape. But wouldn't trade it for a newer model!
I have a 1993 750 storm and that my friend is a beautiful snowmobile
Thanks for sharing I can remember when those sleds came out! I thought they were awesome. I am a fan of all of them
That is one clean unit beautiful sounds bad ass
Love the classic sled content as much as love survivors is also like period correct mods they tell the story of the rider trying to get more
Yes i owned one ,1993 INDY STORM 750 Polaris,Very Fast 100.20 M.P.H. Nice Sled🥲
Sorry... that was not fast for a big triple back then. 650/700cc class machines would do that...my '93 Wildcat 700 would have smoked you (usually only T-Cats beat me from 80 mph on).
My cousin had one of these with full exhaust an clutching that sled was really fun to ride
What a beautiful machine
Back in them days SLP pipes on polaris triples brought huge gains.
My buddy had a red 440 Polaris xcr, it only did 85mph, but it got there in 4 sled lengths..lol..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠

Gorgeous sled
Very good video!!!
Nice looking sleds.
Sweet!
Love this channel ❤️
I had an 800 with dial dome heads 180 psi insane
I think you could make a case for the 88 wild cat 650 and the indy 650 and skidoo 617 mach . Starting the muscle wars. Although we all know that doo didn't stand a chance back then
I had one if these when i was 13. Back then this sled was a big deal. Heavy but fast
Great videos. I'm subbed. You should do some pov in your vids!

Why are you selling your collection
Can I buy it ?
The V-max 4 deserves 4 pipes and 4 Mikuni Super BN 44 carburetors.
Shocks where also PINK from factory.. And you can no longer get the pink ski skins. :(
God I hate to be that guy. Especially the Polaris guy I am. But the stock vmax 4 was 4 cylinders with twin pipes.
V max 4 had 2 pipes
Put a 142" or 164" paddle track with 2" paddles and that thing will climb kije a moon rocket.
You want to sale that polaris storm....? And the vmax 4 did come with 4 pipes......! I bought one back in the day with 4 pipes! Band new some may have not. But won i bought did brand new.......!
