Have had a few guy's say to me over the years, "Hey, I don't come to Thailand to see the temples". Fair enough, but the Sanctuary. of Truth is so worth a visit. Totally mind blowing.
I had no knowledge about the place until I saw this Vlog. I took the trip out there today and the place is incredible. The people that work there have an incredible amount of talent. Far greater than any than I could hope to have. I took the tour and was given a lesson in the meaning of life and the difference between good and bad. Thanks, Trev for another life lesson and heads up on this wonderful place.
Hi Trevor, thanks very much for this vlog. It’s taken me back, even when you climbed down those steep stairs and put on the protective hat it was like taking me there. I visited there every time when in Pattaya over an eight-year period and it’s a majestic place every visit. One particular detail that’s needed for anyone wishing to visit the Sanctuary of Truth: if you arrive for midday or 3pm tours you will be treated to traditional Thai dance and martial art demonstrations. In all it’s a truly spiritual place. By the way, the guide Lauren is from the Philippines. Her English diction is recognisable among the Tagalog-taught population. The tour is most recommended and thanks again for showing us around.
The sheer magnificent beauty & craftmanship is breathtaking. This will be one of those wonderful places as a first time visitor to Pattaya you will regret not seeing because you have woken up late everyday with a hangover, while laying in bed watching the young lady get dressed and leave as you sober up & realise she had rather a large Adams apple and very big hands 🥴...So you cry yourself back to sleep & miss visiting the museum.
I spent about 3 hours looking around , I build skyscrapers and bridges and I’m amazed at the craftsmanship. The 3 huge elephant heads on the roof are my favorite
Visited on my last trip on a quiet day and sat in the middle of the building and just felt overwhelmed by the whole place. A real experience and well worth the THB500.
Absolutely brilliant video, I’ve been there, it really is stunning, there’re carvings inside carvings, the craftsmanship is the very best, definitely a must visit whilst in Pattaya, thanks for showing 👍
The sanctuary of truth is just awesome. My friends and I went there in 2015. My brother spend most of his feeding the elephants. The restaurant food was great. But what we loved about this is that it is so peaceful. The place is so calm. It helps to calm down too.. A must visit for anyone
@@Buzzinpattaya In hindsight I think you have to say to yourself: I'll pick 5 or 6 statues, study them closely and reflect on the workmanship (not for a video, but just for your soul). The boobs in the woodshed were plastic (must be "post-modern" style), but the boobs near the entrance look real. In Paris there's a statue (a bust, oops) of Dalida, and you feel her breasts for good luck. You can Google it. No patina on them at all. 👍🇹🇭🇫🇷 🤣🤣.
Trevor, great video, I have visited the Sanctuary of Truth, it is amazing. I agree with you, as visitors to amazing Thailand we should take time to visit and support these type of places, understand the culture and heritage of a wonderful country!
Good job showing it---you have a good talk along with most of the details......I filmed it and mainly shut up and just showed interior and outside . This is a truly amazing man made marvel found no where else in the World AMAZING PLACE
Amazing. I love it here.cant say how incredible this place is. I visit every time I am in Pattaya. Worth putting on your to do list. Thanks Trev for this video, watched it several times already, never tire of this wonderful place.
Really, really nice place doesn't do that place justice, it is jaw dropping stunning. I would visit that place in a heart beat and the fact that it's within the city makes it even more appealing. Really really good one Trev, you just added one to the bucket list.
this was one of the most memorable places in the Pattaya area, other than recreation. i regret not exploring more in that area. The smell of the wood baking in the sun, and the wood being chiseled away by the construction teams was remarkable as well.
Sight for sore eyes! (more the sanctuary than your self Trev) Have visited a few time and always more amazed each visit. Believe its an on going work of renewing as the timber deterioration. Also the closer you look the more detail you notice in the carving. Is a really good day out with the new found LOYL
@@Buzzinpattaya Way back in the day, you could buy film by the 20 roll brick. I could easily go through 2 bricks there, probably more. Digital is so much better.
Lovely place, I am not religious but I always go see a few temples and they are always give me a happy feel when I am over there and I have been to The Sanctuary of Truth. Wish I had taken a picnic there just to chill. Got a couple of pics with the Muay Thai guys from the show that gets put on
Just linked here from one of your later videos. I will definitely take a day out to visit and relax. It does look incredible to be honest. I can't quite beleive I've never visited before.
Trev, absolutely fantastic, thank you for this vid!!, the time & effort to make this place, besides the face value of the carvings, it is the belief/zen of the place which drives the people to make it possible....Peace
I went there a few years ago & completely agree, it’s well worth a trip. Incredible to see. Trev, you deserve an award for what you’ve done & do for local tourism. 🏵😄
Wow! Another beautiful and fascinating look around. As someone who's homebound for a while your videos showing the amazing details of Thailand I thank you so much for what you do.
One thing that instantly comes to mind...........with the complexity of the structure, there surely must be architectural plans somewhere but one doesn't see anything of the kind. No obvious engineer, foreman, work site safety officer handing out fines. Many commercial building sites I've worked on could do well to follow their examples. Mind boggling example, thanks. I think one of the kings palaces was a large timber "house" but forget where it was now. Hey Trev, movie 5th element............. What are all the concrete blocks on the sea side...??

A good day out by the look of it, previous to this Vlog, I couldn't see that it was worth Bt500 as I thought it was a much, much smaller place.
