I've been here personally, the old man lives just around the corner from the sanctuary. It is a beautiful building! Only thing is the scaffolding is bamboo yet the tourist complain that it isn't safe to work from even though they have worked this way for 100's of years lol
The workshop next door is pretty cool also. You get to watch the artists/builders as they work and they are all friendly to talk to. Apparently where it takes so long to go through and replace each piece as new. Once finished, they start all over again. I believe I was told it takes 30+ years to replace whole building. Don't quote me on that though, it may be much longer?
Thank you! It was a 14 day Asia cruise that started in Singapore & ended in Shanghai. We also visited Ho Chi Minh city, Hong Kong, Busan Korea & Nagasaki Japan. Sadly due to the strict pandemic restrictions in China, you probably won't see this itinerary for a while.
We were there on 3/9 we were visit the temples, want to seafood market bought a lot of seafood brought to the beach ate drinks some beers, but we weren’t go to Sanctuary Temple we’re feels stupid all the times we spend there, now were in Nakhon Phanom for 2 nights we’ll taking of to Savannaket. We’ll come to Thailand next few days and go straight to Pattaya 2 nights Hotel there and we’ll be there for another visit.
The Strider9 I was just there a few weeks ago and took hundreds of pictures. The hardest thing is to get pictures without all the other people in them and also when to stop. There is so much to take pictures of. Other than the floors, just about every inch has an amazing carving on it.

As long as you guys had a good time it’s good. But yeah the Sanctuary of Truth was a nice place to visit for us- hope you get to visit next time!
It said that they build it without a single nail.
That's quite the engineering feat!
Just like every single Japanese Temple & Shrine - over 100,000 of them !
Can tourists ride the elephants at this sanctuary?
You sure can!
