The right time to pay a bar fine is whenever it suites you. I’ve learned long ago never make plans in Pattaya just enjoy yourself and go with the flow.
That's true but you don't want to be stirring porridge on the 6 and most those girls are happy going bareback. I dont like bar fining at 1pm but do because after 4pm you are likely stirring fresh porridge.

Older video but a very good subject. I have a couple of points that I feel you glanced over. A bar fine is a business transaction for sure. We really need to remeber that fact but it can still be fun. If the girl thinks you are going to spend money on her outside of the bar, she is going to take you for a ride. This could be good or bad. If you take her early and want to go to other bars or clubs, she is going to want to see her friends and you will have to buy them drinks. This is a must to help her save face and she will thank you for being reasonable generous. Don't be afraid to say no and have a limit but let her tell you to buy a few drinks for her friends. Bar fine late in the evening will have a reduced cost and the girls may be limitied but they will be available. Take her out to eat before you go back to the room and you will have a nicer evening of entertainment. You are right about getting a girls number while in the bar and asking her to meet you later. This is a big no no in the bar scene. However I was caught doing this one time by the mammasan. She was pissed at the girl but the girl did not care. The girl meet me the next day and we got along very well. I started to see her only for more than a year. Which brings me to my next point. While this is a business, the girl can like you. The relationship can stay a business only think with a lot of "like" or more. Be nice, have strong limits and the girl could be long term fun. Last thing but not necessary, buy the mamassan a drink. You get two advantages here. First if you buddy up with the mamassan, she can direct you to girls with the least problems. And two, this puts the girl on notice that the mamassan is frendly with the customer and won't act up as much. The mamassan who caught me getting a phone number to met a girl outside of the bar has been one of my best friends for over 10 years. She has bought me many drinks and has given me some of the best girls I have had in Thailand. So be nice, be firm with limits, befriend the mamassan, and keep your eyes open. This is a business.
I’ll be back, I’ve used that many times lol..I found if you barfine early and take her with you..you will always find another stunner in another bar and I’ve said I will get her tomorrow or the next day and went back to that bar and never seen her again..maybe customer took her for the rest of his holiday..it’s an absolutely crazy place..I love it..I just wish I started going earlier in my life
If a guy is bothered about "going in after somebody else" then Pattaya isn't the place for him. The reality is that if he chooses a popular attractive girl. If it's late in the night, he could possibly be her 3rd or 4th customer.
Each have their own preference. I wouldn't want to it be smelling of rubber or someone sperms smell 😂. Try to BF the girls early to make sure you are her first one that night. But the problem is the grass always greener on the other side.
Most have Thai boyfriends so we going to be second no mater how early we bar fine them the good news is all Thai people are very very clean and shower many times a day and those spray guns come in very handy

I was in Pattaya in November, on my first night bar fined a lovely girl on Soi 2 and we had a great time including breakfast the next morning. However, I was out fishing that day so said I would be late in to the bar in the evening - Sure enough, she had another man sat with her (Although she was good enough to come over and apologise, saying 'this is business' - Fair enough). She came back in later on, obviously just a bit of 'short time' and started to chat with me, telling me she was free for the rest of the evening - However, her mate from the night before had been sat with me while she was gone and I had to tell her sadly that I was 'lonely' so had bar fined her friend. As you say, it's business and she didn't hold it against me when I was back in later in the week when we had a few drinks and played pool
Agree with you 100% mate. Come back when you're ready and go from there or keep shopping. Also, the fines typically drop after 12/1 so, you may be able to shave a few baht off your bill🤪
Had very very different experiences than you. Ive taken bar fines out on the town and theyve got viciously jelous when ive interacted with other girls... sure loads others have had that experience too. Thai girls are very jealous and territorial.

Great video as usual, Trev. What a wonderful problem to face on a daily basis! I wish I had this problem now 😂! As for myself, I don’t have a set strategy. Sometimes I strike while it’s hot and get the deed done ASAP so I don’t lose her. And sometimes I take an optimistic approach, keep moving to a few bars and if I didn’t find anyone I’d come back but without any expectations.

Firstly I have never bar fine and leave the girl at the bar. It's better to just bar fine her n move on. Actually you kinda save buying her drink at normal price than buying her ladies drink. Haha I have done the I will come back thingy and was caught out once before. Regretfully I had to pass the same bar complex on the way to my hotel so I taught I manage to sneak pass her as I had another lady by my side. The next night when I when back to the bar and the lady said why you not bar fine me! I saw you passing by last night. Oops!! 😂. I have wised up now. I will start my day far from my hotel and slowly heads towards my hotel so that I avoid such scenarios
Back in the day when barfines were more affordable, I tended to barfine earlier in the night like around 9 PM or so. Most for short but occasionally the long if I felt real chemistry with the gal, and I am also not a night owl so like to get things done early. Going back something like 6 or 7 years back I started to see some crazy prices being charged for barfines. 1500 to 2000 baht, plus you had to wait until I think it was 1 or 2 AM until that barfine had a small discount. Around that time I also started barfining less and less from gogo bars and past few years maybe only one time I barfined from one because of these crazy prices. This channel had a great video discussing the decline in service and attitudes of girls in general. You combine that with the high barfines of gogos and just not worth the risk for me to pay crazy money for a barfine just to have a lady with a bad attitude.

1500 - 2500 is standard barfine rates at go-go's now and mamasans are ALL very, very pushy for drinks and whatever. It is 12/2022 this published comment date. I hardly see anybody go with girl. Plus girls want 3000 so the risk of losing about $150 USD (LD included plus yours) is far too great to end up with a bad performer or starfish and the bars are hurting I can see. I made the comment pre COVID-19 all Chinese came and showed off wealth and jacked up the prices. I warned as a businessman and as a business model (who was going to buy into) this would be disastrous. Hard to say for sure but the outlook unless changes how it used to be, isn't good. Everyone smoking pot too, everywhere. Drugs over a sexy hot Thai, yeah right.
I'm with the other guys on not interacting when you have your bar fine with you. Even though it's business it can still lead to loss of face which leads to poor chemistry later. The simplest answer is to go short time and if it goes well go long time later on.
if im drinking say 3 drinks an hour I cant see nothing wrong with letting her tag along for a few hours whats it costing me an extra 20 quid i actually enjoy spending time with them before going back to the hotel, once you have made your choice just get them outta their bar ASAP so you dont pay lady drink prices .
My friend showed me to you're bar 19, it was closed. I enjoyed Songkran it was amazing. With regards bar fines , I met a girl in a bar had a few drinks with her I didn't bar fine her but the next day went back she was finishing work and came for a drink . I asked her to come back to my room and agreed a price so luckily no bar fine. My first time in Thailand and as my friend told me I'm to shy. I went to Bangkok for R&R for a week in January n another week in June 1970 n it was quite different a girl at the bars were cheaper than massage parlor. It was $10 versus $25 n it was for 24 hours. So I chose a girl from a bar for $50 for the week , my hotel was $35 for the week n my cab driver was $35 for the week so it's quite obvious it's very different n more expensive now. But I had a helluva time n enjoyed myself n my companion immensely n the people in Bangkok treated me with respect n dignity. So I have great affection for the Thai people.

I remember when I got back into Pattaya, went to the bar and ran into a girl that I saw previously from the other year. I took her friend that year but I wanted her instead afterwards. But that year I came back she showed up and she left a customer that she had several days and decided to stay with me for the whole week. It was good to be the boss that week, I was opening the bar for my friends at 10 in the morning. Had the keys to the fridge. Mama was so cool about it. The staff kept calling me BOSS. The other bars would call me if there was problem with sailors or customers when I was there.
I have never bar fined, normally pick a freelancer. But if the occasion was to arise I pick your opinion, I would find out what time she finished work, one in morning would be ideal, come back and pay no bar fine. She would stay long time. If she is not there there are plenty of others to look for especially at that time of night.
I like to sit, chat and have some drinks with a girl before deciding whether to bar fine her or not. Once I'm happy and that decision is made, we agree on a deal that we are both happy with beforehand, I pay the bar fine and we go back to the hotel. I like to be able to feel relaxed and comfortable with a girl before making a decision, otherwise it can be a bit cold and clinical. I don't like to rely on looks alone, friendliness and personality makes a big difference I find.

I typically barfine about 1 AM in whatever bar I happen to be in. Girls are happy because they know that will be the end of their day as time will be up after their bar closes and they will not have to return until the next evening. On a side note, I saw you pass at least three 7-11's in that 1 block tour. I have always found it interesting that out of the thousands of 7-11's in Thailand, I have never found one there that sells Slurpees. ;-)
First thing I do in a the cheap Charlie beer bars is pay a few bar fines here and there and just hope I can remember the previous beer bars i bar fined in before I get to sozzled up . Usually I forget .

If you barfine lol there are ways around it Trevor as you know.! Like you said it's a business transaction and there is no emotional attachment not for them anyway unless your super lucky.! We need to get these ideas out of heads gents that they see you as a boyfriend my advice is if you really want her take her number discreetly if you think she likes you she will contact you.!I stopped barfining a while back.! I came to Bangkok, I started teaching in a school and met a teacher she was 28 I was 54 that was 18years ago I'm still with her married got money own my home, car, bike. Now we are still to gether I'm 72 shes 46 family are great was I lucky no I was careful and cautious.

So, if I get it right there are two fees to negotiate: 1) the bar fine (and I suppose you negotiate and pay this to the bar owner or manager?) 2) the price for ST or LT (and I suppose you negotiate and pay this to the lady?) The question I got is: when do you pay the lady for the ST or LT (when she is in your hotel room or do you have to pay her upfront before she leaves the bar?) Any ideas, or suggestions on this? I have a few options first I fine out when they get off of work. second get there phone # or Line Id Third kinda goes with the 2nd give them your number or Line and call in the morning. If you live here theres always tomorrow but if your here on holiday your not wanting to do any of that because your ready to go. Good Buzz
I think a good strategy would be to visit several bars & check out a few ladies along the way & find out what time they close & turn up in the last hour & bar fine one if they are still there.Or you could just go out after 12 at night & search for a good one & bar fine her after a couple of beers & leave with her..

I agree with everything you say. However I do things slightly differently. I have girl days and other days. I will find a girl early, late afternoon. Go for long time. Go for a few beers, back to hotel to discuss the price of beer..then out for a few more beers and back to hotel. Then if she is good fun, maybe a second day... it never a third.
I can only speaK from experience and this was pre covid, I never paid more than 300 baht for bar fine and no more then 2500 baht for long time. I would always get the the lady between 5 to 5:30pm. the reason for this the price would be the same if you got the lady at 12:30am so I get an extra 5 hours for the same price.
not in every bar, dude! in some bars, especially in soi 6, i had to pay more, before 10.p.m. so i had to wait for the cheaper bar fine! but i think its not very common!
In Scooters on Soi Bukhao they made me buy a certain number of drinks before I was allowed to bar fine.... Never had that anywhere else in Pattaya where I went drinking......
When I popped in, the only interaction was someone getting my beer,then heading back to the stools and face back in the phone like the rest of them. Finished my beer, check binned and off to another bar. My negative facebook comments didn't go unnoticed and I was asked about what was wrong.
Same great pool on the roof right across sailor bar fantastic rooms where not very nice then 2001 but have been renovated since perfect location very noisy till about 3am
it's a simple concept that does not need to be controversial. You are just reimbursing the bar for the salary that the lady gets paid, because she's stopping work for the day, to hang out with you.
Massage parlours are options too, you have the time to chat with the girl, if you like her many will spend time with you after work. It suits me as I’am not a drinker anymore and I’ve found out that a lot of girls don’t like drinking either!
yes I've done the same thing some I've had them stay over night & they go back too work were they came make more short time money ,I just grab em again later that night if they pass the the casting couch with as decent performance.,
On a side note, it looks like they’re doing some maintenance/construction work on Soi 7. Hopefully this Soi gets busy again. I’m optimistic in general that Pattaya will come back as good as it has been in the last few years. Although a big way to make that happen would be to devalue the Thai Baht.

Rarely are the Ladies interested in anything but short time now. I have often made arrangements to meet a girl at a later time when no bar fine is involved. It has never been an issue. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this extortionary demand from bar owners if a girl chooses to quit the bar and go live with a customer. That is the most outrageous thing I have heard. Do the bar owners have an ownership deed or something? I laughed in a bar manager's face over that one and walked away with my new roommate after that silly demand.

I never Bar Fined and walked away, If I Bar Fined I would do it after I had made my mind up about them, sometimes I would take them out to places that some of them hadn't been to. But I did get the odd few that I saw more than once say to me that they would meet me at my hotel room after they finished so that I didnt have to pay the Bar Fine.
When I was there last (a long time ago in 79) the answer to when to pay a bar fine was: If you like the girl just pay it. Don’t go around the rules. Don’t try to be sneaky. At that time it was 20 Baht to a dollar. A Bar fine was between 200 - 500 Baht. (my memory might be fuzzy) That’s less than $15. You pay more than that for a beer in San Francisco. If you can’t afford that, don’t go.
I usually Bar Fine about midnight and go long time. Earlier I will barfine and go short time. I don’t barfine and go clubbing. I’m not a big drinker and I don’t want a drunk girl. To me a place like Insomnia is a waste of time but that’s my taste. I usually don’t go for Freelancers. I like bar girls and agogo girls. It’s can be expensive but I try and minimize the cost. Bar fining is never an impulsive thing for me, I am either there to have a good time and buy a few lady drinks and leave or to find a hot girl that I have a good interaction with to barfine. I know there seems to be a trend and use Tinder but that’s not my cup of tea. I love Pattaya and all the interactions you have by being out and about

I think proximity to your hotel plays a role. I would always stay at the grand hotel on soi 1 so if I did find a smoke show I could take them back to the room have my fun then send them on there way all within a few hours. Gives you more time and freedom to do what you please
My experience comes from the Philippines in the early 80's. We usually did short time (a few hours) or long time (3-4 days) with the price negotiated with mamasan. If it was going to be a week or more, it was more of a daily rate that you paid. Is it that way in Thailand?
I'm not one to go out to other places after barfineing... I have had the experience of tending to a sick/drunken Gogo girl and it is not a good way to end the evening!
The first time I went to Pattaya twenty years ago, the first night I went out I heard a lady screaming "Hello Sexy Man!" I was a swedish blueberry and I thought, she means me so I went over to her and then she said, "Im only joking!" Thank you very much for saying that! We played five in a row the whole evening and she won all the time. A very nice lady.
Or option number 4. Fine her early, take her back to your room have some fun and if she was as good as you hoped get dressed take her back out to party and then at the end of the night take her home again and have her till morning? If she's not good in those 1st couple of hour well then just politely send her on her way and then go back out and party and find another lady.
I do this if they'll stay with you. In my experience with some BG's, if you start early some know they can make a lot more money doing multiple short times instead of a single LT so they ditch you to go back to the bar.

If she does ditch you through the night then it has only cost you the bar fine which is not to bad a price to pay for a few hours of fun in Pattaya.
The bar right behind you (and the wall of plastic) at the end of the video is where the taxi drop me the very first time I was in Pattaya. My advice is the bar fine immediately if she is a total superstar and she’s cool. She will definitely be gone when you come back if you don’t and you might not get a chance to go back.
I would not want to add stress to emotion. If you find a girl that in your eyes is a 10 and you sit and speak with her , have a few drinks. Her personality fits you, don't be a fool. Pay the bar fine and leave with her. Contrary to what others say, if you choose to walk away, you might not find another good fit for you.

Take her out of her bar. She has every economic incentive to make you spend as much as possible, if you stay in her bar. BF her and go somewhere else, is my view.

In my opinion, it's all down to your attitude experience, and personality. Don't bullshit them and be friendly and speak the truth and tell them what you want from them. Yes, they are working girls and most of them will go for the most money being offered. Not all of them though. I go for personality and banter, not a plastic dull immaculate stunner who is draped in gold and fancy hairstyles. Every farang has their own game some are better at playing it than others but if you are happy with your own game that's all that matters to you. Whether you are any good or not who cares as long as you are happy with the end result.

I would not recommend this suggestion on attempting lady swapping within the same bar. Its just not the done thing unless you got dud service, speak with mummasan or puppasun would be the exception.

Easiest way I feel, is when you find someone fun and you like the look of, conducted the necessary negotiations, get the BF out of the way and proceed to the fun part of the evening. Dont see the point in messing around. Job done.
Thank you for the advice & tips. The majority of my time spent in Pattaya I was fine with just having fun at a beer bar early and then heading to a gogo. On a night that I had planned to do a var fine in the evening I would only have colas or ginger ales. I want to remember and umm "perform my best" I will have a few and barfine NO promises or emotional ties it is just lust and business. I always have the other tip$$$ in my secret money belt. I would NEVER open my room safe in front of a girl.

Older video but a very good subject. I have a couple of points that I feel you glanced over. A bar fine is a business transaction for sure. We really need to remeber that fact but it can still be fun. If the girl thinks you are going to spend money on her outside of the bar, she is going to take you for a ride. This could be good or bad. If you take her early and want to go to other bars or clubs, she is going to want to see her friends and you will have to buy them drinks. This is a must to help her save face and she will thank you for being reasonable generous. Don't be afraid to say no and have a limit but let her tell you to buy a few drinks for her friends. Bar fine late in the evening will have a reduced cost and the girls may be limitied but they will be available. Take her out to eat before you go back to the room and you will have a nicer evening of entertainment. You are right about getting a girls number while in the bar and asking her to meet you later. This is a big no no in the bar scene. However I was caught doing this one time by the mammasan. She was pissed at the girl but the girl did not care. The girl meet me the next day and we got along very well. I started to see her only for more than a year. Which brings me to my next point. While this is a business, the girl can like you. The relationship can stay a business only think with a lot of "like" or more. Be nice, have strong limits and the girl could be long term fun. Last thing but not necessary, buy the mamassan a drink. You get two advantages here. First if you buddy up with the mamassan, she can direct you to girls with the least problems. And two, this puts the girl on notice that the mamassan is frendly with the customer and won't act up as much. The mamassan who caught me getting a phone number to met a girl outside of the bar has been one of my best friends for over 10 years. She has bought me many drinks and has given me some of the best girls I have had in Thailand. So be nice, be firm with limits, befriend the mamassan, and keep your eyes open. This is a business.

I was in Pattaya in November, on my first night bar fined a lovely girl on Soi 2 and we had a great time including breakfast the next morning. However, I was out fishing that day so said I would be late in to the bar in the evening - Sure enough, she had another man sat with her (Although she was good enough to come over and apologise, saying 'this is business' - Fair enough). She came back in later on, obviously just a bit of 'short time' and started to chat with me, telling me she was free for the rest of the evening - However, her mate from the night before had been sat with me while she was gone and I had to tell her sadly that I was 'lonely' so had bar fined her friend. As you say, it's business and she didn't hold it against me when I was back in later in the week when we had a few drinks and played pool

Agree with you 100% mate. Come back when you're ready and go from there or keep shopping. Also, the fines typically drop after 12/1 so, you may be able to shave a few baht off your bill🤪

Had very very different experiences than you. Ive taken bar fines out on the town and theyve got viciously jelous when ive interacted with other girls... sure loads others have had that experience too. Thai girls are very jealous and territorial.

Great video as usual, Trev. What a wonderful problem to face on a daily basis! I wish I had this problem now 😂! As for myself, I don’t have a set strategy. Sometimes I strike while it’s hot and get the deed done ASAP so I don’t lose her. And sometimes I take an optimistic approach, keep moving to a few bars and if I didn’t find anyone I’d come back but without any expectations.

Firstly I have never bar fine and leave the girl at the bar. It's better to just bar fine her n move on. Actually you kinda save buying her drink at normal price than buying her ladies drink. Haha I have done the I will come back thingy and was caught out once before. Regretfully I had to pass the same bar complex on the way to my hotel so I taught I manage to sneak pass her as I had another lady by my side. The next night when I when back to the bar and the lady said why you not bar fine me! I saw you passing by last night. Oops!! 😂. I have wised up now. I will start my day far from my hotel and slowly heads towards my hotel so that I avoid such scenarios

Back in the day when barfines were more affordable, I tended to barfine earlier in the night like around 9 PM or so. Most for short but occasionally the long if I felt real chemistry with the gal, and I am also not a night owl so like to get things done early.
Going back something like 6 or 7 years back I started to see some crazy prices being charged for barfines. 1500 to 2000 baht, plus you had to wait until I think it was 1 or 2 AM until that barfine had a small discount. Around that time I also started barfining less and less from gogo bars and past few years maybe only one time I barfined from one because of these crazy prices. This channel had a great video discussing the decline in service and attitudes of girls in general. You combine that with the high barfines of gogos and just not worth the risk for me to pay crazy money for a barfine just to have a lady with a bad attitude.

1500 - 2500 is standard barfine rates at go-go's now and mamasans are ALL very, very pushy for drinks and whatever. It is 12/2022 this published comment date. I hardly see anybody go with girl. Plus girls want 3000 so the risk of losing about $150 USD (LD included plus yours) is far too great to end up with a bad performer or starfish and the bars are hurting I can see. I made the comment pre COVID-19 all Chinese came and showed off wealth and jacked up the prices. I warned as a businessman and as a business model (who was going to buy into) this would be disastrous. Hard to say for sure but the outlook unless changes how it used to be, isn't good. Everyone smoking pot too, everywhere. Drugs over a sexy hot Thai, yeah right.
I'm with the other guys on not interacting when you have your bar fine with you. Even though it's business it can still lead to loss of face which leads to poor chemistry later. The simplest answer is to go short time and if it goes well go long time later on.

With regards bar fines , I met a girl in a bar had a few drinks with her I didn't bar fine her but the next day went back she was finishing work and came for a drink . I asked her to come back to my room and agreed a price so luckily no bar fine. My first time in Thailand and as my friend told me I'm to shy. I went to Bangkok for R&R for a week in January n another week in June 1970 n it was quite different a girl at the bars were cheaper than massage parlor. It was $10 versus $25 n it was for 24 hours. So I chose a girl from a bar for $50 for the week , my hotel was $35 for the week n my cab driver was $35 for the week so it's quite obvious it's very different n more expensive now. But I had a helluva time n enjoyed myself n my companion immensely n the people in Bangkok treated me with respect n dignity. So I have great affection for the Thai people.

I remember when I got back into Pattaya, went to the bar and ran into a girl that I saw previously from the other year. I took her friend that year but I wanted her instead afterwards. But that year I came back she showed up and she left a customer that she had several days and decided to stay with me for the whole week. It was good to be the boss that week, I was opening the bar for my friends at 10 in the morning. Had the keys to the fridge. Mama was so cool about it. The staff kept calling me BOSS. The other bars would call me if there was problem with sailors or customers when I was there.

But if the occasion was to arise I pick your opinion, I would find out what time she finished work, one in morning would be ideal, come back and pay no bar fine. She would stay long time. If she is not there there are plenty of others to look for especially at that time of night.

I like to sit, chat and have some drinks with a girl before deciding whether to bar fine her or not. Once I'm happy and that decision is made, we agree on a deal that we are both happy with beforehand, I pay the bar fine and we go back to the hotel. I like to be able to feel relaxed and comfortable with a girl before making a decision, otherwise it can be a bit cold and clinical. I don't like to rely on looks alone, friendliness and personality makes a big difference I find.

Am I the only one who paid the bf and left with the lady, carried on to other bars, met and bf someone at another bar while still with the first one (paid the first one for ST) then continued on with the 2nd one? To your point both were perfectly fine with the situation.
I typically barfine about 1 AM in whatever bar I happen to be in. Girls are happy because they know that will be the end of their day as time will be up after their bar closes and they will not have to return until the next evening.
On a side note, I saw you pass at least three 7-11's in that 1 block tour. I have always found it interesting that out of the thousands of 7-11's in Thailand, I have never found one there that sells Slurpees. ;-)

2) the price for ST or LT (and I suppose you negotiate and pay this to the lady?)
The question I got is: when do you pay the lady for the ST or LT (when she is in your hotel room or do you have to pay her upfront before she leaves the bar?) Any ideas, or suggestions on this?

I have a few options first I fine out when they get off of work. second get there phone # or Line Id Third kinda goes with the 2nd give them your number or Line and call in the morning. I think a good strategy would be to visit several bars & check out a few ladies along the way & find out what time they close & turn up in the last hour & bar fine one if they are still there.Or you could just go out after 12 at night & search for a good one & bar fine her after a couple of beers & leave with her..

I agree with everything you say. However I do things slightly differently. I have girl days and other days. I will find a girl early, late afternoon. Go for long time. Go for a few beers, back to hotel to discuss the price of beer..then out for a few more beers and back to hotel. Then if she is good fun, maybe a second day... it never a third.

I can only speaK from experience and this was pre covid, I never paid more than 300 baht for bar fine and no more then 2500 baht for long time. I would always get the the lady between 5 to 5:30pm. the reason for this the price would be the same if you got the lady at 12:30am so I get an extra 5 hours for the same price.

In Scooters on Soi Bukhao they made me buy a certain number of drinks before I was allowed to bar fine....
Never had that anywhere else in Pattaya where I went drinking......
When I popped in, the only interaction was someone getting my beer,then heading back to the stools and face back in the phone like the rest of them. Finished my beer, check binned and off to another bar. My negative facebook comments didn't go unnoticed and I was asked about what was wrong.

it's a simple concept that does not need to be controversial. You are just reimbursing the bar for the salary that the lady gets paid, because she's stopping work for the day, to hang out with you.

On a side note, it looks like they’re doing some maintenance/construction work on Soi 7. Hopefully this Soi gets busy again. I’m optimistic in general that Pattaya will come back as good as it has been in the last few years. Although a big way to make that happen would be to devalue the Thai Baht.

Rarely are the Ladies interested in anything but short time now. I have often made arrangements to meet a girl at a later time when no bar fine is involved. It has never been an issue. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this extortionary demand from bar owners if a girl chooses to quit the bar and go live with a customer. That is the most outrageous thing I have heard. Do the bar owners have an ownership deed or something? I laughed in a bar manager's face over that one and walked away with my new roommate after that silly demand.

I never Bar Fined and walked away, If I Bar Fined I would do it after I had made my mind up about them, sometimes I would take them out to places that some of them hadn't been to. But I did get the odd few that I saw more than once say to me that they would meet me at my hotel room after they finished so that I didnt have to pay the Bar Fine.

When I was there last (a long time ago in 79) the answer to when to pay a bar fine was: If you like the girl just pay it. Don’t go around the rules. Don’t try to be sneaky. At that time it was 20 Baht to a dollar. A Bar fine was between 200 - 500 Baht. (my memory might be fuzzy)
That’s less than $15. You pay more than that for a beer in San Francisco. If you can’t afford that, don’t go.

I usually Bar Fine about midnight and go long time. Earlier I will barfine and go short time. I don’t barfine and go clubbing. I’m not a big drinker and I don’t want a drunk girl. To me a place like Insomnia is a waste of time but that’s my taste. I usually don’t go for Freelancers. I like bar girls and agogo girls. It’s can be expensive but I try and minimize the cost. Bar fining is never an impulsive thing for me, I am either there to have a good time and buy a few lady drinks and leave or to find a hot girl that I have a good interaction with to barfine. I know there seems to be a trend and use Tinder but that’s not my cup of tea. I love Pattaya and all the interactions you have by being out and about

Nothing will happen to you, but the girl might get fired, as trying to avoid the bar fine is a bar violation.
I think proximity to your hotel plays a role. I would always stay at the grand hotel on soi 1 so if I did find a smoke show I could take them back to the room have my fun then send them on there way all within a few hours. Gives you more time and freedom to do what you please

My experience comes from the Philippines in the early 80's. We usually did short time (a few hours) or long time (3-4 days) with the price negotiated with mamasan. If it was going to be a week or more, it was more of a daily rate that you paid. Is it that way in Thailand?

Fine her early, take her back to your room have some fun and if she was as good as you hoped get dressed take her back out to party and then at the end of the night take her home again and have her till morning? I do this if they'll stay with you. In my experience with some BG's, if you start early some know they can make a lot more money doing multiple short times instead of a single LT so they ditch you to go back to the bar.
@@surfguy777 I suppose this could happen but so what if it does? Remember you pay the bar fine up front and the girl when YOU want her to leave or the next morning whichever comes 1st. If she does ditch you through the night then it has only cost you the bar fine which is not to bad a price to pay for a few hours of fun in Pattaya.

The bar right behind you (and the wall of plastic) at the end of the video is where the taxi drop me the very first time I was in Pattaya. My advice is the bar fine immediately if she is a total superstar and she’s cool. She will definitely be gone when you come back if you don’t and you might not get a chance to go back.

I would not want to add stress to emotion. If you find a girl that in your eyes is a 10 and you sit and speak with her , have a few drinks. Her personality fits you, don't be a fool. Pay the bar fine and leave with her. Contrary to what others say, if you choose to walk away, you might not find another good fit for you.

Hi it's Dave again,I have a story to tell you that you haven't talked about.Some time ago I met a girl in a bar and I paid the bar fine.A lot of girls like you to stay in their bar rather than go to another bar.This is the question I paid the bar fine so why should I pay top price for her drink when I can go to the bar next door and pay normal price.So am I wrong when I have paid the bar fine should I pay lady's drink price ! In my opinion, it's all down to your attitude experience, and personality. Don't bullshit them and be friendly and speak the truth and tell them what you want from them. Yes, they are working girls and most of them will go for the most money being offered. Not all of them though. I go for personality and banter, not a plastic dull immaculate stunner who is draped in gold and fancy hairstyles. Every farang has their own game some are better at playing it than others but if you are happy with your own game that's all that matters to you. Whether you are any good or not who cares as long as you are happy with the end result.

I would not recommend this suggestion on attempting lady swapping within the same bar. Its just not the done thing unless you got dud service, speak with mummasan or puppasun would be the exception.

The majority of my time spent in Pattaya I was fine with just having fun at a beer bar early and then heading to a gogo. On a night that I had planned to do a var fine in the evening I would only have colas or ginger ales. I want to remember and umm "perform my best" I will have a few and barfine NO promises or emotional ties it is just lust and business. I always have the other tip$$$ in my secret money belt. I would NEVER open my room safe in front of a girl.
