If you take them out of the dirt and put them in room temperature thick oatmeal overnight it pushes out the dirt from their system and "gut loads" them with nutritious oatmeal for the fish when they eat them!!! Just rinse them before feeding them to the fish.

Nice healthy colony of red worms you have there! They’re duel duty, they’re feed for the fish and they take care of all your veggie wastes. 👍

I have tried keeping red wigglers two times now and both times unsuccessful. Watching this I'm going to try again. Third time's the charm hopefully!

6:52 Puffers, no matter the size, are really more docile compared to other fish. They are really "considerate" of other fish in the tank yet I have some that will fight other fish, especially for food. I've had only 1 that would fight another fish and they both died the next day. I didn't see the fight but I have witness one or the other chasing each other.
I had pea puffers, a couple were donated to me. They all lived around 3 to 4 yrs, the youngest died at a month due to the fights with the "peaceful" Harlequin Rasbora. I have one puffer per tank, only 3 total. I have raised 2 together but they just chase each other when they grew up.

I wouldnt put out a blanket statement that puffers are docile. That is the case with some species, but some like the Congo Puffer, Hairy puffers or any of the ambush puffers are downright terrors and kill everything in the tank.

I've been raising them for years. I keep mine in a Maxwell House plastic container. I use them for fishing and for above ground garden boxes to do my tilling, and adding natural fertilizer. If using for fishing, add a little corn meal to them a week or two before hand. They get big and fat!!

  • @tinalouiseking

No animal products except boiled eggs shells... plus if you really love your worms and you want to see them multiply fast add corn or a blob of day old grits and let it breakdown. They'll start going crazy😂

It actually never occurred to me to try big worms, I've got yoyo loaches and one huge rasbora that would love them, and maybe my raphael catfish would be into it as well. I have a few grindal tubs on the go so wouldn't hurt to add another box of worms somewhere
