hi besties, i've missed u. a little note: my face/neck is quite swollen in this video as ive been struggling with my ME/CFS recently which causes my lymph nodes to swell. i normally wouldn't mention it but i know people will comment on it & im quite sensitive so pls be kind
Hey any ideas why?…I have been having terrible flare ups also. But on a lighter note I didn’t notice it all. My eyes were on your gorgeous apartment. 💪😃feel better
I love the bit more casual feel of this video. Not quite second channel casual but still a bit more relaxed, perfect start to come back to your main channel with
Such a lovely video. Either that house is HUGE or you are in love with it. Can't rightly say but I just watched a full 20 min video of you doing room tours so I was obviously engaged. Love that you have such a beautiful house. and the kitties are adorable.
Have you ever tried growing a zz plant? They’re so forgiving, as long as you don’t overwater. With the dark accents in your home, the raven variety would look gorgeous! Also, love the video obv, and best wishes with the house!!
About the plants though ( if you did move into the place pretty recently, very beautiful apartment btw) they may just be having trouble adjusting to the new place and they're new spots. I've killed so many plants moving the last 2 years. I've had to relocate plants in my new places a lot because I try to put them in places that are to much sun for them, or not enough. And that usually has been my problem more than just not "taking care of them how they want". Also it's useful to have plants that like neglect, like folks mentioned, or ones that will start to faint when they need water, so you can physically tell when they do. 👍👍
Gorgeous place! Love what you've done with it! 😍 Quick tip if you wanna save the bed frame: take the screws down to your local hardware store and ask for slightly larger ones. Then you just rethread the holes to fit the larger screws. ❤
Your apartment is so lovely and cozy 😍 you’ve done such an incredible job decorating it and making it feel so homey and it makes me happy seeing how happy you are here ♥️
so so so gorgeous!! at first I didn't read the title and thought the entire house was yours and screamed lol. Your apartment fits you so well and I am incredibly jealous because I love old houses 😘
That was a neat apartment. Thanks for the tour. 👍👍👍 Regarding all your plants dying I would suggest checking the internet about “Trips”, not sure they’re called the same over there but they’re a pest as they spread immensely even though plants can be very far apart. Hardy little buggers and it seems the most effective way to get rid of them is to throw away everything with roots in dirt… Not that fun maybe, but funner than having half dead greenery all around you. Eventually one can introduce plant by plant and once it’s safe again you can practically become an in door gardener if you want to.
I always kill plants too, despite a lot of effort that I put into caring for them. I have found an app that sometimes works... you take a picture of the dying part of the plant and it tells you what's wrong and how to fix it. It doesn't always work, but on occasion it does. If only there was a similar app for my child - just take a picture of his tantrum and it tells me what is wrong and how to fix it.
Beautiful flat! Have you tried repotting your plants? If you buy them from a garden centre they’re not too bad but supermarkets often sell them in pots which are far too small for the size of plant. Might be worth a try! Xx
I love the colour and vibe of your apartment so much! It looks so calm and tranquil, and like a great place to be productive, but also relax and read. I wish you guys the best of luck on saving for a house deposit! ❤
Funny but beautiful apartment tour! I love the decoration of your apartment even though I'm usually not a big fan of old buildings... Also THANK YOU for letting me know I'm not the only one who makes plants DIE despite all the efforts... 😂
I love that this has the awkwardness of every house tour I’ve given or been on! I would’ve loved you to show us the living room design and compared to the designs you had done!
After my mother moved to her new apartment a lot of her plants also started dying. We think it might be because of the change in humidity. The new place is much drier than the old one. She has now gotten a plant mister and a humidifier
Great tour! Love the green bedding 💚 So I’m in Canada, and I am super into gardening, with a front and backyard (full of perennial flowers) of probably around 1000 plants. Oh god, maybe more! Who keeps track honestly! Anyways, I have also found indoor plants are much more temperamental. I’ve found it’s best to know yourself and your care style. If you like to over-water, and fuss then choose a plant that can drown and still be happy (peace lilies or ferns are great for this, but prefer lower light environments, no direct sun). I have a super sunny window in my room, which I’ve put palms in front of, and so long as they have sun, and minimal watering, they are tough to kill, and pretty pest resistant (sago palm, pony tail palm). Herbs usually do well in a full sun position indoors, but watering for each plant varies and it can be a fussier job, though having fresh herbs for cooking is a real upside! Wishing you all the best with your apartment acquisition 🙏
So many plants! A little unrequested secret to keeping most plants alive: first, check for bugs, pests, anything that moves - that'll defo not do them well. Then make sure they have light (looks OK in your house) and only water them when the top inch or so is dry - and when you do, take them out of the decorative pot and completely soak them in the plastic nursery pot until water comes out the bottom. Most common cause of plant doom is overwatering. Some plants like more or less water but on the whole this probably will at least keep them alive! Oh, the calatheas like rain water, they're finicky buggers.
We visited Nottingham a few years before Covid. Took the kids to Sherwood Forest and tried to go see the Castle but they were still doing renos. My older kid still wants to go back and visit the park with the giant pirate ship climbing structure. We live in Canada, so it might be a bit of a trip to visit just to play in a kid's park. :P Your plants might be too cold, if you're using A/C. I used to have a hot pepper plant that grew really well but died almost as soon as we put in A/C because it wanted the heat and humidity.
The pull cords on blinds can be very dangerous for cats. I recommend either a wall hook you can wind the cord around to get it out of reach, or tying it up high in the blinds. If your cat gets tangled in the line or falls off the window sill and tangles with the cord, it could get seriously injured or asphyxiate. Once you've bought the house, replacing the pull-cord blinds with cordless ones would be the best solution.
Move the plants close to a window and leave them in the sunshine for a few days. Also, use some liquid plant food in the water when you water them. Most plants love sunshine.
Hellos, if wanting to bring in more light into the ‘darker’ areas, mirrors are brilliant at reflecting light and making darker spots brighter. A large mirror on the hall way wall or lots of different size mirrors if that’s your fancy, will help if wanting to make the hall way more brighter. Thank you for the tour.
Your plants don’t look too bad. If you have any bamboo skewers, stick one down in the soil all the way down and pull it back out. See how wet it is. Like an oil stick for plants. This should help you prevent overwatering. Don’t water the plant until the soil is dry. Always isolate plants with parasites. They will infest the next nearest plant. You’re doing fine. Your apartment is lovely.
Depends where you get your plants from. If it's IKEA or similar the substrate might be poor and they might need repotting. Go to a local plant shop, I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out. Mine stopped dying once I was explained a couple of things X
The plants might need to go outside in the full light and humidity? How often are you watering them too? I'm a plant person and love them, but sometimes some plants (like daffodils and roses) really don't like me, no matter what I do! Congrats on the new place, it looks fabulous! And You look great, so don't worry. I didn't even notice... I can't believe people are that rude and comment on that stuff!
Looks lovely. Good to see you're fine. I even checked your Twitter recently cause I was worried, and saw you were alive :3 Hope you'll feel better soon!
I am SO glad you popped up on my feed, you made me laugh quite a few times and that I cherish!!! Had to subscribe....and throw away all my gray sheets...
Smut books are not embarrassing and are nothing to be ashamed of and shouldn’t be hidden away. Maybe you can cover the topic of the stigma around romance/smut books in your video?
Elena… you spanking the tik tok smut books that Jaune explicitly asked you not to display and then questioning why you did it. I CACKLED like a witch that had just procured a child’s soul. Top tier comedy
hey, plant parent here, plant retailers tend to give bad instructions on the plants needs, in the end of the day they just want to sell as many plants possible, so maybe it’s better to just watch some plant youtube videos about the plant in question :) good luck
I have gray and tan bedsheets because they were the only ones in stock of the cooling/breathable sheets. I'd love some more aesthically pleasing sheets but comfort comes first.
When you said people mentioned grey bed sheets are boring I expected something really colorful 😄 To me dark green is still boring. I have 2 sets of super colorful sheets which both have different colors, that way when I change my sheets I get a different looking bedroom. I like bright colors in my home, I don't do pastels or earth tones.
Those tiles are amazing! And how do you both love cooking and yet aren't having dinner parties all the time?!! 😂 we moved at Christmas and it's taken until literally this month for me to find the one place in our new house that my favourite plant is actually happy with! So you may just need to move yours around a bit?
I love that you have a lot of reused/recycled/old furniture! It's really not normal to buy new Things every time you move or get bored of the interieur. You can always redo it or get creative with how to use it 😊 #commentforallgo

What's ME/CFS?
Hey any ideas why?…I have been having terrible flare ups also. But on a lighter note I didn’t notice it all. My eyes were on your gorgeous apartment. 💪😃feel better
I didn't even noticed the swelling. I was thinking to myself that you were looking really good.
I love the color of the living room floor combined with the sofa and the rug and basically everything in the room!
thank u !!!
I love the bit more casual feel of this video. Not quite second channel casual but still a bit more relaxed, perfect start to come back to your main channel with
this is the most reassuring comment
Engaging for that house deposit, beautifully decorated, very warm and cosy !

The apartment looks so cozy! I love how so many pieces of furniture have a story to them.

Also, love the video obv, and best wishes with the house!!
I love the colour scheme of the home. It looks quite modern though it's an old house. I can't wait to own my own home, best of luck on buying!

your house is GORGEOUS and i'm very envious. also Jean in all the reflective surfaces is killing me, what an angel
Gorgeous place! Love what you've done with it! 😍

What a wonderful place to live. I adore the high ceilings and all the windows. Can we get a view of the outside of the building and the gardens next?
That flat is lovely. Feels very homely, bright and airy. Hope you guys manage to snag it for yourselves permanently 😊
Great video!!! Love the vibes of the place. Also that wood table is straight fire!!
there may be a video on the making of that table coming soon (in case u wanna recreate her) 👀
@@Ellbat oh hell ya!

Ohmygod i love the green sheets. I was unaware that my heart desired some solid dark green sheets but omg YES
tbh, this is one of the best house I have ever seen: I love the furniture, the light, the high ceilings, the garden....all of it!!!

It look so warm and relaxing! What a beautiful space! Your Bengals look like they feel very much at home already, cosy cosy 😻😻
I love those windows!! And you've got some beautiful colours in there! Absolutely lovely 🥰
those ragged/reclaimed wood tables are my favourite style! there's so much character and i just feel so at home sitting at them. great work!
This apartment is beautiful!!! I hope you guys are able to stay. ❤
This apartment is gorgeous! It seems like such a serene place to spend your time.
What helped me not kill my plants was i started researching where they are native to.
Nothing wrong with a smut book, display them proudly 😂

The view from your working desk is phenomenal. Such a beautiful window and garden.

Nottingham slay! Perfect sized city :)

I myself love grey sheets but that green looking really cute!
this place is stunning!!!!! look at you being an eco friendly queen and having an adult adult place!!!
I love house tours - I love them even more with so many cat appearances LOL - thank you!

The care instructions on plants are often wrong tbh, especially with how much water they need, so that could be it!
I'm in love with how everything looks!! so happy for you to have such an amazing space! well deserved
Gorgeous house tour! I’m a little jealous of it tbh but I’m so excited you guys found such a great place!
Engaging 🎉 buy that house!

What a beautiful space! I love what you’ve done with it.
I make a lot of digital watercolor art with traditional ink pens if you're interested in buying new prints for your home.

Actually most of the plants looked good to me! 😄 Lovely apartment! Wish you luck with the offer ❤
The plants are a long way from the windows. They need more light.
