    If you have the Driver Assistance Package, or the parking assist package, you get the front and rear parking sensors.

    Actually you CAN get the JCW convertible with the 6 speed manual transmission. I don’t know if it’s only an option in Europe, but you can get it. 😀

    It's nice to see you back in a Mini! As nice as the newer features are, I'll be sticking with me '14 F56 S. I just turned 90,000 miles and it's as much fun as ever.

      I knew I'd see a comment from you on this one John! I still miss mine so dearly and am excited to hear you are still enjoying yours! Any reliability / maintenance headaches you've had to deal with? Only had 36,000 miles on mine but it was great the entire time!

      @@shouldigetit Other than regular maintenance and a busted windshield, the only big item was a blown motor mount. Apparently that isn't uncommon for the F 56. I had the JCW Pro exhaust installed (which I love) that had some valve opening issues. Mini replaced it as it was under warranty. Given what some of my friends have experienced, I think I've been pretty lucky. Take care!

      I highly recommend going for the manual. I owned a 2015 6-speed Cooper S for 3 years and loved every mile. Here are my thoughts on the manual: ruclips.net/video/jFbLGzJRgfE/видео.html

      Thank you so much Darryl, I think this is the nicest comment I've gotten in months. The price of this exact car is $46,250. The base price is $38,900.
      Options include:
      Iconic Trim package - $6,000
      Mini Yours Soft top - $500

    The only Mini I find appealing is the Clubman. However, local pricing (South Africa) strikes me as being quite ridiculous, which puts the Mini in territory where there are many options. Given the cost of all the add-ons like paint and wheels, I think one could do better looking at alternatives. You have to be a die-hard Mini fan to want one at the price.

    • @shouldigetit
      @shouldigetit  2 года назад

      What's the price of a Clubman in SA relative to say a GTI or All Track?

    • @27degrees
      @27degrees 2 года назад

      @@shouldigetit A JCW Clubman costs R838,573 ($57,080) in SA vs $39,500 in the USA. A Golf 8 GTi which is coming soon, is said to start at R669,300 ($45,580) vs $28,695 (S) and $36,945 (Autobahn) in the USA. I'm not sure if we will have anything but one model GTi here with some options available, but options will quickly push it up to $50,000 or more. I'm not sure which Alltrack you are referring to. To the best of my knowledge, the only Alltrack sold here is the VW Caddy Alltrack (leisure activity vehicle) not sold in the USA. That will be replaced soon by the 4th generation model. We have had significant vehicle price increases since the start of the pandemic - typically 10 - 14%.

    • @27degrees
      @27degrees 2 года назад

      @Saroj M It's hardly an SUV - a Crossover at best and where will you find it? Under the Mini brand, so I don't buy your statement that a Clubman is not a Mini.

      Problem with the Miata is that it is very uncomfortable for the both the driver and passenger (especially with the stupid hump on the floor). The seats have no support and don't recline back enough. The windshield is too close to your head, no glove box, no storage. Nothing. How it is the Mini and Miata are both about the same length yet the Mini has two back seats, more boot space and plenty of room for the driver and passenger? The Miata is an ergonomic mess.
