Hey Captain Drone. great video as always.. so i noticed when you showed us the OSD that youre seeing that REMOTE CONTROL STICK ERROR message. and i just wanted to help you out a bit. Ive figured it out finally ... so if you CENTER the throttle stick while you POWER ON the remote, that message shouldnt show up :)
Hi Steve, thanks for another great review! I'm getting confused though, trying to decide between the Defender, Cinelog, and now this Dolly! Add in the size choices and GPS, it becomes extremely difficult for me to choose. I'm pretty committed to using my DJI controller and goggles, so whatever it is will have the 03 Air unit. My question is, if I change the parameters to fly a certain drone using BetaFlight, will I have to change it back to fly my DJI FPV? Do those parameters stay with whatever drone I have my goggles set to, or will I have to change the controller back each time I switch drones? Thanks for your time, and happy new year.
Unfortunately that is the problem with DJI beginner products in that the person coming from that world is lost as to how things work in the RC Hobby. So to answer your question, in the DJI world of trying to be part of the real FPV hobby, your DJI FPV goggles will connect to everything you have ever bound them to. This means that say you bought yourself 100 different FPV drones all with the DJI O3 unit in them, and you bound your DJI Goggles to all 100. Your DJI Goggles will remember all 100 so no matter which one of the 100 drones you fly, your DJI FPV goggles will automatically connect. This is also true with the DJI FPV Remote 2. Where it gets weird with DJI is when you have your 100 FPV drones and also the DJI AVATA or DJI FPV DRONE or you have older FPV Drones with the DJI AIR UNIT in them. The only way to bind and connect back to them, after you’ve been flying the DJI O3 system is to go in your goggles and change the connection type to one of those systems and then reboot the goggles. You may also have to rebind the remote to them.
Pls tell me which is the best drone to buy under $200 and i have a confusion what to buy, the cfly faith mini or the bugs 18 pro. Of there is anything better than those two, pls inform

Vibrations: One possibility is that the rubber dampers have become too hard because of the cold. But otherwise, great video, as always. 👍 Happy Holidays and a great New Year, Steve.
Thank you for this review! Will you re-fly the drone and update if the vibrations persist under throttle in warmer conditions? I am also in Canada so that would be nice to know.

Does it have other modes besides acro mode? Looking for a good exploration drone with no acro just normal flight, a gps flight controller, and long flight time…. Have the avata and love it just want to try something else? Any recommendations? Merry Christmas and great video….
I don't believe this is the drone you're looking for. If you can't fly ACRO then your only other option is to stick with DJI drones like the MAVICs or MINI or your AVATA (which actually flys the same as a MAVIC when in NORMAL and SPORT MODES). If you can fly your AVATA in MANUAL mode without crashing, then you can certainly handle ACRO mode.
@@stayalivesurvival7550if a human flew RC helicopters wearing FPV goggles and there was no stability system on the RC helicopter then it would be the same ACRO as on an FPV Drone
You’ll need to also do Betaflight so that you can tell the drone what you want the switches on your DJI REMOTE CONTROLLER 2 to be assigned to (such as arming the motors and selecting flight modes).
It all depends what you plan to use the FPV drone for. If you have no purpose other than wanting a small under 250 gram cinewhoop then either are fine.

What do I have to reconfigure to have GPS and still be under 250grams?

Well, maybe there are lighter battery options.
Maybe you could try removing the TPU sheaths on the left and right sides and installing the M10Nano GPS, which is lightweight at just under 3 grams!
GPS itself weighs less than a gram, but the GPS stack probably weighs 1 or 2 grams.
