@@joshandkristengarcia7113Hey, sorry for the late response! I didn't see this since it was a reply instead of a comment. It's probably too late for whatever purchase you made, but in case anyone is still looking at picking up one of these phones, here's what I'd recommend. I generally ignore sales from the manufacturer since those knock the prices down from brand new prices that are too high to begin with. The actual value of a phone is what it's going for used or refurbished, and that's the price I'd use to compare phones. By that metric, the phones in order of best value to worst and cheapest to most expensive are as follows: $295 Pixel 7 refurbished $364 Pixel 7 Pro refurbished $550 Pixel 8, Amazon deal $800 Pixel 8 Pro, Amazon deal Hope this helps!
This is my opinion and why pixel 8 works for me better than pixel 7 pro: 1. I would rather have latest phone and get a little more life out of the phone.. With announced 7 years of updates, makes a lot of sense for people who use it minimally 2. A lot of people do love the small form factor.. So that again makes pixel 8 a great phone.. For me Pixel 4a had the best size screen.. With iPhone mini discontinued and A series having big screens pixel 8 is a great deal now 3. Pixel is supposed to give me a really good point and shoot camera and both do the job for me and with 8 pro being out of my budget and 7 pro being a year old with only 3 years of life left, I would love to go for 8. Also here in India we have weird pricing by Google even though the phones are manufactured here🤷 making pixel 8 more affordable with a deal rather than 7 pro.

In my non-professional opinion, the pixel 7 pro has fewer OS upgrades or in general security updates, and feature drops. The tensor G3 is also a lot better than the Tensor G2, specifically with AI capabilities due to tensor in general, just not being very powerful. You won't notice much of a resolution difference, and really the only thing you're actually getting is an upgrade in the pixel 7 pro Is it's zoom. If you want better zoom, get the 7 pro. The pixelate is a much better option for value. Also, due to its OS upgrades for 7 years, it'll retain value, Mimi, you can sell. Sell it for a good amount of money.
I agree id buy the 7pro over the 8 💯 i absolutely LoVe my 7pro its display is beautiful ❤️ also the 8 is way too small in my opinion i wish they'd go back to the 6.4 thats the perfect size of a phone.
You're missing the point Jed - while we usually have an idea what our next phone will be often we have it down to two or three which is why we watch theses videos - we can all read up on specs etc but if someone is able to get multiple phones to compare/ review side by side (and for the most part they do this as a job) I would expect more of which the reviewer thinks is better and why as they have spent time with the devices - it may be one has bigger screen or slightly different camera but I can learn this reading up on them, what I don't know is how they perform over a period of time. I'm not casting aspersions on this reviewer specifically but rather this lazy genre that draws you in with the expectation of an opinion. Of course I'm not expecting a RUclipsr to decide how I spend the best part of a grand but after the facts have been laid out I would like their opinion...
