Hammonds reaction to SG1s returns are always the best...either he is in shock, pissed, or flat out worried about the outcome of a mission gone bad or great!
My all time favorite interaction between Hammond of Texas and Jack was when Jack was wearing that armband given to him by the Tok'ra in Season 4 Episode 3 (Upgrades). They were talking in Hammond's office when Jack kicked the wall with his foot and notched out a big chunk of cement. The dialogue that follows is pure Gold!!!
Granted, the sonic signature of some of the alien flora on the planet they were on making them particularly irritable (if you're talking about the scene I think you're talking about, the one with the short, wide-eyed pale guy where Jack is yelling at Daniel about 'filming a plant!') might have had something to do with the good Doctor Jackson's little outburst...
During its original run ST:TOS was still an obscure show with cult-like audience. It's totally plausible some USAF hard-ass had no knowledge of it. Also, no internet.
***** lol, Yep. I'm a bigtime SG-1 fan. ^^ My Dad and I used to watch it all the time when I was younger and its still my favorite Scifi show to this day. One of my favorite episodes was when Jack and Teal'c were stuck in the time loop. The "Wacko" scene was hilarious.

Jack RULES! He was THE BEST in all TV land. Carter: (looking at Jack's midsection) "Let's just say you were wounded. Wow! That's a miracle!" Jack: "No, crunches..." LOL.
This may sound weird or maybe even disrespectful but I do not miss the story that much. What I do miss is the interaction between the characters. That is what I miss most of all. The characters & the actors that portrayed them had such chemistry that everything else was dull compared to them.
The story was usually mediocre and obvious (aside from the replicator arc, that had me on the edge of my seat since they seemed invincible). The character interaction and fight sequences made the show.
The show was at its best between season's 1 and 4 when the goa'uld seemed invincible and they were barely hanging on. It really went down hill as soon as Carter suddenly knew how to use every single piece of technology she came across and Daniel could translate every form of ancient dialect within a second or two.
Yeah well it had been too cliché in time. Like they go somewhere, they rescue people from something bla bla bla. Classic american tv series. But RDA is quite funny.
I miss real scifi... That isn't just soap/drama with light scifi elements. Explorative, imaginative SciFi on distant planets and in space. Now every scifi is just set on earth, because the sets are cheaper.
LOL Doctor Who! srs?! lmao. As brswing says, try The Expanse, I found it entertaining enough to watch through both seasons that's out so far. Both made by Syfy. (I know, insane, rite?)
I'm having trouble continuing to watch SG1 after they took Jack O'neill completely away from the show. Up until they took him off, I was completely addicted to SG1, but now he's gone i'm in season 9 just trying my best to get through it all so i can move on to the next stargate series...
Trek001 It was the changes in budgeting. Stargate got bounced around a bit in the earlier years.
