30 years ago I was visiting an art museum that I had never been to and they had an exhibit of photographs from the 1960's and 1970's depicting the hippie culture. I was stunned to find that I was actually the subject of about a dozen of them. I remember the photos being taken circa 1968-1972 on various occasions from the time I was 8 to the time I was 12. I was naked in all the photos. This is because in that time frame I lived in a nudist commune with several relatives. It was a relative, a sort of Bohemian artist, who took the photos. Although I remember posing for them I never saw them and had no idea they had made their way to a museum. I thought they were being taken for a family photo album. I was promised they would never be shown to anyone. I did not pose in a particularly sexual way, it was just that outside of the context of a nudist commune they didn't seem appropriate for public consumption. Worst of all they had my full name, date photos were taken and my age in a caption under each photo. I enquired as to how they came to be in the museum and they told me that information was confidential. So I told them I was the subject of the photos and never consented to publication. I showed them my ID. That is when they had security escort me from the building and they got a restraining order preventing me from coming within 500 feet of the museum. So I went to court. I sued. I requested in my suit that they remove the photos or redact my face and name from the exhibit. I also sued for ownership of the copyright to the photos and $100 per day per photo retroactive to the beginning of the exhibit which I found out was begun three years earlier so that would come to $1,314,000 plus legal expenses and court costs. We settled on their turning over all negatives that had my image on them plus I was granted ownership of the copyrights plus they removed my name from the exhibit and replaced it with "UNIDENTIFIED CHILD." and finally they gave me a lifetime pass for four and membership in the museum, rescinded their restraining order and gave me $50,000 compensation for past exhibit of the photos, royalties from any publication that included the photos (there was a souvenir book that had some of them in it that they sold in their gift shop) and $500 a year for as long as my photos appeared in their exhibit. They are still there and I still get $500 a year.

I’m no expert, but I’m quite sure that when an artist does a painting, they give it a title. And if no one know the title, the auction house makes one up. Equally the museum may have a name for the art that helps them distinguish it from other pieces.
What is it you’re asking for exactly?

Story: I was going to an art museum, and my mother was looking at some other art, and I saw a painting that looked exactly like her. My mom didn’t think so, but I took a picture and then we looked at it. They literally could have been twins.

In a brochure about a holiday resort I saw a person looking just like me in group picture of the staff working there.
Even my then girlfriend thought it’s me.
We went there and this guy really liked exactly like me. His friends, girlfriend and colleagues thought I was him.
    Very creepy!
I was 23 at the time.
I met him by chance some 15 years later at a fair and we still looked kind of similar but not identical anymore.
We had developed in different ways.
