Trying to go back and comment on all your videos, because I believe that it helps the channel with RUclips's algorithms. Plus great video.

Get this man a medal
Don't forget to watch all the way through to the end. I usually start a playlist and just let it roll while I'm crafting
Great idea from five years ago!
More D&D players need to learn from wargaming like this. I've used several for BattleTech.
HINT: Its cheaper and often easier to just gut your polyester fluff out of an old pillow (or a cheap new one if you must). Obviously don't cut up your best quality one, but you can pick up a shitty cheap pillow for $5 and under at places like walmart or ikea if you don't have a spare laying around already. Those poly-fill bags can be kind of pricey because they are aimed at hobbyists and quilters, but the material is no different then what you find in a synthetic filled pillow.
Dang, I've been looking for a simple, versatile build to add a little wow factor to my otherwise very bland but functional tabletop (I play at a store, so a bunch of big cool builds just aren't practical to transport), and this looks like the perfect build. The fact that it's so affordable makes it even better. Can't wait to see the looks on my player's faces when I bust these out.
I made one of these in about 5 minutes and was so pleased, I made six more! Amazingly easy and so cool!
you could use the multicolored lights for a more magical looking fire
That's a great idea! I've been thinking about making a gas cloud for X-WING using this method but I don't want black. Do you think a lighter color paint would also work or would the opacity of any paint result in the same shadow effect?
My wife and I have JUST started making stuff. Your videos are a goldmine for ideas and help. THANK YOU!
Super cool intro. Even the stills make you believe the fires rage on!
That's so easy and really great. For some reason I always thought fire markers with light would be super complex. Thanks for making this.
43 seconds in. These are the best I've ever seen. Imagine how these look on the shelf just as they are at the 42-second mark. Wow, I'm doing this!!!!! Thanks man, You bring joy to life!!
When I did dioramas and model trains in my earlier yrs. My friend and I would use the big cotton stuffing you get in medicine bottles. We would use hot glue or super glue to glue the cotton to our torches or campfire bases. Once dry we would sculpt the cotton to look like smoke then paint the cotton with airbrush or dry brush the colors of fire, then with a spray bottle with diluted pva glue. Then once dry add our tea light or model train grain of wheat bulbs which were slightly smaller than LEDs. You can even paint on a very thin coat of thinned out red paint like acrylic or enamel to a white bulb if you cant find color lights to give the light a more red light. It works since they dont generate enough heat to burn or melt the paint.
This is a great way to make military dioramas have a real look for ruins and battles thanks
Your introductions, and the overall production quality keeps going from strength to strength... another great video. Keep it up 😁
Thanks for noticing :)
I finally tried making these. Had the toilet paper bases out in the sun locked in a heated van for 4 hours maybe that wasn't enough, also I used tacky glue with water because I had no Elmer's so it was wrong in way too many levels hahaha. 5 out of 6 came out right, 3 of them were perfect (because the first method in the video is super simple and cool, the second one is too but harder to make). Anyways I'll probably try to make my next fire marker's base with foamular like the summon stones and the portals. Thanks for the tutorials 👍 they make my campaign glow with aesthetic
Best table top making channel by far!
Not a new idea, but the execution was flawless. WELL DONE!
Flawless victory?

Very, very cool. I would have not thought about that. But even with some colorful LED lights you can make some spell casting markers. Thank you for that inspiration!!!
So glad I found this. I have been looking for a tutorial on how to make these ever since I saw them being used in a Warhammer AOS game and thought they would be cool objective markers. Thanks for putting up the vid dude, it really helps.
We did start the fire, its been burning since my modular table started turning
Damn you....damn you for putting that awesome song in my head!!!!!
I made 4 of these and used one today......lots of OHHH"s and AWWWW's!!! HUGE hit and added sooo so much to the feel of the scene. I wish I'd had these a year ago!
Just tried this out today, love the results!
Got myself a box of 12 flickering candles online for around $5, well worth it!
Using this for buildings and piles like these, constructing a fire city mordheim terrain, we are going thru some old school mordheim games!! Love all your builds!!
I used the fire base idea to make the base of a magical portal and it worked so well!! Thank you for sharing!
Watching in 2019: “oh this is cool. Very cheap materials. Just a little toilet paper? Awesome!”
Watching in 2020: “WHAT. YOU DARE WASTE SUCH A NECESSITY?!”
These are fantastic. Great job. Super simple way to add an amazing dynamic.
Great idea. I think I'll add this to a 1/35 post apocalyptic diorama I'm planning!
I shall be making some of these as soon as possible. Yes.
The black toilet paper ones look like a magma zone lava tube before adding the wood which is kinda cool
You can use the string lights normally used for stationary decor combined with polyester filling to make it look like an explosion just happened.
This is perfect. Going to use this to make a base for a fire elemental.
Veryyy nice !! I really like the little introductions you've been making for your videos ... nice project again !! Cant wait for the next friday !!
I'm having a ton of fun starting videos this way....I think I'm onto something!
I know this is an old video, and I hope you still read these comments. But I would love to see more of these special effects videos. Maybe do a fog effect for aquatic terrain? 😊
Finally got around to making my set of these a few days ago, thanks for the tutorial! They added a huge amount of immersion to the game!
That bonfire was crisp man
I love this build. It's given me so many ideas for other projects.
My mind is straight blown! I love this man, thank you so much. My wife already gives me "the look" when I go all in on something, or spend too much money on a mini. I'm always looking for decent, less costly options.
thank you so much for your suggestion i've already made them . Amazing smoke and lowcost
Fire looks awesome. Going to be making some of those! Very cool.
They look fantastic
Simple build but comes out so nice looking. Another great vid Jerome.
This was awesome! Cant wait to build mine!
Impressive realism! Top job.
You could make a frame and then put the multicolor tea light near the bottom of the frame and fill the frame with fiber but glue it so that it's pressed flat and it could be a magical portal.
You are a real life wizard.
Thank you so much for sharing some of your secrets!
I've known about how to do this since i started using led tee light candles in cosplay flames, but it is nice to see your take on it
That is cool. Back when I played in the 90s we only had our imaginations to visualize the battles. It is so much nicer to have the models.
Really love all ypur vids and tutorials. Im making a medieval city with a castle and every little thing i learn from your vids i put them on good use. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Oh I'm absolutely using this
Made some. They came out great! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Very helpful, will use for school project
This was a awesome build- Thanks for doing this!
Wow that was super cool, quick guide
I really enjoy the references all you guys make. You are referencing DMscotty and runehammer, dungeoncraft is referencing you, runehammer is referencing wyloch etc. Nice video, I will give the markers a shot soon!
Yea, the community is awesome that way. One of the reasons creators are able to flourish, it's a team thing not a competition.
Nice job. I've seen a lot of these over the years and yours look the best.
Thanks!
Good for ww2 dioramas, too. I make aircraft and ship dioramas and if you paint them and place them correctly, they look great.
I love these!! I've made some in the past that I used variations of grey (for wood smoke) and black & darker greys (for oil smoke) but without the tealight. I will definitely be updating my process to use those in the future. Brilliant!!
The tea lights make all the difference!
Very nice! I saw Eric's Hobby Workshop fire effects which were great for the flamethrower/firebolt look and the toxic gases, but this has a cool burning rubble effect.
Those look awesome, best gire effect ive ever seen
That is fantastic Mate, cant wait to implement some of this into my Dioramas.Thanks.
I AM SO EXCITED!!! I use all fire spells and these will make an amazing visual of my enemies burning ! I’m thinking I’m going to add a miniature to some of the bases so it looks like someone has been set on fire!
This is really cool. I love it ♥️
Awesome great idea!
This looks awesome!!!! Totally making these this weekend
useful and inspiring ...exactly as you said.. thank you i need it in my life...
This is awesome!
Awesome new take on a classic terrain piece for games! I really believe we are in a Renaissance of this hobby thanks to content providers like Black Magic Craft, Scotty, Wyloch, and others. Thanks again for the inspiration!
I'd like to think this statement is true :) I feel like we are just seeing the beginning of a huge explosion in tabletop rpgs.
Those look awesome! I can't wait to create some of my own.
Very cool and cheap build thanks for showing us the way
Thank you so much for this!
Saw you on the terrain building subreddit today, and gotta say this looks like a really cool channel; loved this fire build since I could use it for so many different settings
Dremel in action! Been utilizing mine more and more. Great job as always Jeremy!
Whoa that's an excellent idea, I may make these because of how easy they are and how good they look! I'm starting to make our games look more impressive by making terrain and using 3D minis.
A classic. Well explained!
So simple yet so fantastic. I want to do an adventure that begs for this effect.
I'm not into D&D but I build Gunplas and this is really helpful for a diorama I'm planning. Thanks, man. Subbed!
Wow, that was glorious!
Those are legitimately awesome!
Thanks BMC.
This could be awesome for dioramas 😱
Wow, those really look great!
That intro!!! 😍
Sometimes you can find pillows at thrift stores that contain the same stuffing...which can be a lot cheaper than buying a bag of polyfill. I love this idea though...you make me want to build terrain!
Awesome make bro!
that´s awesome!
Sweet dude thanks
DM Scotty!!! Guy changed my table top games.
AMAZING!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
Awesome!!!
FINALLY!! this is perfect for the raid of greenest :D thank you so much for this
You're welcome :D
Ingenious.
Damn, that's clever. Love it.
Great job you make it look easy
That’s because it is easy!
Very nice liked 2nd set best
Halloween time at the dollar store, so hopefully they have some tea lights and other fun things! I have been wanting to build these since this video first came out! Just now getting around to it, enjoyed watching this video the second time just as much as the first. Thank you for your wonderful channel!
Brilliant!😎👊
Only recently found your channel and I'm just beside myself: I just ran an encounter with buildings on fire!! If only I saw this a few weeks earlier!! Definitely going to use some dollar tree led candles to light up something else in the future.
BADASS!
Wow! Awesome job!😁
Fantastic. I bought two of these for 10 uk pounds. Now I feel like a chump. Ill give this one a shot for sure. I look within my capability.
