My beautiful wife, Cheryl, and I fell in love in 1967 when she was 17 and I was 20. We were married for nearly 54 years before she died from the effects of ALZ/Dementia 25 months ago. I will love her forever.
I’m listening to this absolute classic of a gem in 2024. What a truly beautiful magnificent voice Nat King Cole had. I can’t stand most of the music that’s popular today, and I feel my faith restored when I listen to vocals as beautiful as this. I’m 33 years old.

I love this song, my husband and I have been married for 71 years and this is one of the songs we use to dance to in the early 40' we had true love songs back then. We are still in love with each other.
I was in my twenties when we got electricity at home..1956. Bought a radio and used to listen to this great NAT KING COLE almost everyday. Nostalgic memories when I listen to these masterpieces now when I am 91 years.
Good show. Electricity is a luxury unless you live in the desert in the summer, where AC is almost absolutely necessary. You can do without it even then if you have iced drinks aplenty, but when it gets uncomfortable all night long as well as all day long, you've simply got to leave.
Nat , was very close to my family. My dad died, suddenly in 1959.I was 4 years old. Nat and Maria, were very very good to me. As I was born disabled. Both Nat and Eddie Cole. Encouraged me to take music as my life. Which I did in the blues style. I shall be eternally grateful, that my family, had such outstanding friends as the Cole Family....
THIS is what real music sounded like...no foul language, no referring to women as "bitches" or "hoes", no obscene gestures, just the smooth, angelic, and melodic voice of Nat King Cole, flowing into your heart. Without a doubt, this was "food for your soul". Can I get an "Amen"?
Now this! is singing!, nat had a god given voice!, rest in peace nat, for you are loved by many!!!!!!!!. god bless you in heaven, with natalie. all the best, Louie Vaccaro, tenor, las vegas.
Hip hop pays its dues to NCK every day. Hip hop is just one more love child of 1950s R&B, blues, rockabilly and gospel. Nat King Cole is a hip hop hero; rappers’ grandparents smile at their grandchildren rhyming their lines and think about their roots going back through the blues generations.
This is so beautiful! His wonderful voice, his clear diction, his ellegance, his posture, his way of moving... so artistic, everything so aesthetic! And he sings just as if he were tenderly opening his heart close to the ears of his beloved one, like one revealing a love secret!

I met this wonderful man while walking with my father on a sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles around "1955" I would have been around 7 yrs old at the time, I can still hear my dad saying hello! Nat!..as he walked towards us.. how you been? and he answered back with that big warm smile and said why hello Merrill I've been just fine. Funny how I can still picture that scene and still hear their voices in my mind. They both had met back in the late forties through show business. Unforgettable memories..^^ True story!

So sad that we don't have such consummate artists today. How lucky I was to listen to Nat, Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, Ella Fitzgerald, Roberta Flack. There is no music like that in these times. A great loss.
2022...............and this is still an incomparable song, sung by an incomparable voice. Timeless and exquisite, this will still be listened to 100 years from now.
None of this is true though. While yes it does help those who can't sing, it isn't used for that purpose in popular recording artist's tracks. Believe it or not, most of the top 40 modern artists can and do sing at an extremely high level (even T-Pain). Autotune in the most popular tracks are nothing more than an effect. Pop producers have discovered that the general public loves the way autotuned voices sound, so everyone uses it. Not just because they don't have "talent" Personally, I don't like modern pop music. I listen to it because it's important as a musician, but I have a Chet Baker sings album on my record player when I walk in my bedroom that i'd much rather listen to.
Nat King Cole is a very talented singer and he has a magical voice and lyrics that I love 💕 his songs will never be forgotten in this world 🌍. Tell me which of his songs are your favorites songs?

As an opera fan-atic as well as of jazz and 1950s ballads, I wondered for a long time whether Colin Riley's one-sentence class-ification could be sustained. At last, (at 80) I agree. The two greatest singers of my time are; Jonas Kaufman and Nat King Cole. Both have that uniquely silky smooth timbre and both are inque because their voices spanned the baritone and tenor ranges. THAT no one has ben able to match. Dipak Nandy
I had such a crush on him when I was little. Never realized the difference in our skin color. I just knew the man was so kind and gentle with a beautiful voice. The first black man to have a TV show.
Love is still out there!! After my hubby passed from Parkinson’s I stayed 11 years as a widow then like out of no where here comes my second love. A first early love then a late in life love! Both were different kinds of love but that same feeling in your heart .♥️

Still listening, or (re)discovering this song, this style of song, this time, like in classical music, even that was 'popular' music. Art, popular or less popular, depends for a part of moment fashion, true, but can be (re)discovered, and appreciated, even loved.
true Senecas Group Líder simply wonderful 👏👏👏 I humbly made a version to honor him/her on my channel with the Cinderella theme sung by me🙏 I also cry 🥲
I Love Nat in 2024! My parents danced and fell in love in 1944 right after my Father got back to the states from collapsing in England from heart faiure, the night before he and his buddies were supposed to fly across the English Channel likely for the D-DAY INVASION, at the "Blue Moon" in Tucson, Arizona. They told all of us nine children of the many "Big Bands" which came to play at tge "Blue Moon":: Tommy Dorsey and many more! They also danced together in front of us and taught all how to dance. Beautiful Memories of our Beautiful and Handsome Parents! Veronica ❤️🌹❤️
This performance is from "The Jack Benny Show." The just showed the episode this morning and I fell in love with his voice. He talked about his career and was interviewed by Mr. Benny. A class act.
Yes, and John Lennon believed "all you need is love" from the bottom of his heart too. In reality, both he and Nat were abusive philanderers. Hypocrites to the core. These performances are just that: performers performing, creating an illusion for your entertainment-and of course, for their own enrichment. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're better off knowing how things really are than to continue being a naive victim of sham artists who prey on the emotionally vulnerable.
We fell in love in 1956. We were married in 1961. She died in April a year ago. I am still in love.
Bless
One life. One wife. That's the way it's supposed to be.

Think this is one of the greatest love songs of all time, sung to perfection by Nat Cole and excellent arrangements by Gordon Jenkins.

There's only one that came cold that says at all
There is no voice like Nat king call truly and artist
Not if "they" have anything to say about it. Ever meet one of "them?"
...and more...❤❤
Voice like velvet.
amaya lobatomusica de gregorio barrios dos almas
Add a little suede to that and a touch of satin, if you will. (smile)
amaya lobato My mom used to say that, I grew up listening to him.
amaya lobato When I first heard him sing at 7, I told my parents that is what angels sound like. And he is my favourite singer. Ever.
amaya lobato so thru there will never be one like him again
Another beautiful classic that'll never die.

2024 anyone?❤
Yes!
People dont know the power of Nat King Cole ❤America had never seen anything like him
6 foot 5 black as the nights sky dressed like a million dollars and he was a gentleman best jazz pianist in America 😢he was a phenomenon
You can't touch this. The best rendition of this song yesterday, today and forever
Amen to that, Eric !
Rick Astleys rendition is pretty good.
My dad used to sing imitating Nat King Cole. I miss him so much.
MsCaramello73 god bless have a nice Christmas
Whenever I miss my grandparents, I play his songs
Look at him. Listen to him. Living, walking and singing charisma. Just beautiful...
How I wish I could travel back in time !!!
OJ Ivey ....you can say that again .
Wow, how does he sing like that without Autotune? *thinks* Oh yeah, TALENT!
What is autotune? What does it do?
what are those
tell me about it. pitch correction is relied on now. bad singers become good in the studio. lol
Dak Lamerbusch I was totally joking
None of this is true though. While yes it does help those who can't sing, it isn't used for that purpose in popular recording artist's tracks. Believe it or not, most of the top 40 modern artists can and do sing at an extremely high level (even T-Pain). Autotune in the most popular tracks are nothing more than an effect. Pop producers have discovered that the general public loves the way autotuned voices sound, so everyone uses it. Not just because they don't have "talent"
Personally, I don't like modern pop music. I listen to it because it's important as a musician, but I have a Chet Baker sings album on my record player when I walk in my bedroom that i'd much rather listen to.
"When I fall in love, it will be forever" decades have passed, I still kept this love in the deepest chamber of my heart!!!
Nat King Cole is a very talented singer and he has a magical voice and lyrics that I love 💕 his songs will never be forgotten in this world 🌍. Tell me which of his songs are your favorites songs?
When I fall in love it will be forever
Or I'll never fall in love
In a restless world like this is
Love is ended before it's begun
And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun
When I give my heart it will be completely
Or I'll never give my heart
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you.
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you.
What a lyrics! contain full of peace...

MEGARANA thank u
So classy he was. And handsome!
+Nastassja P yes and yes
One of a kind. My fav singer of all time.
Dipak Nandy
Black man with that much confidence back then was remarkable!
Ah Ju Goh how is it racist ??
@@radioactivenuke1889 He doesn't understand what racism is.
@Ah Ju Goh It really isn't.
Look up boxer jack Johnson
@Ah Ju Goh you should know the history of the african-american descent before. He's just stating facts.
Beautiful from Korea
Things to do:
Get married
Have a family
Try to find a way to time travel to see Nat King Cole, Elvis and the Rat Pack perform
You can have familly without getting married that's just a paper... It proves nothing
Fran Cizmek And that's why the country is so screwed up.
jardel dias I volunteer you as tribute.
lawtonokieguy Couldn't have said it any better...

How did black music fall from this... to Kanye West ?
I had such a crush on him when I was little. Never realized the difference in our skin color. I just knew the man was so kind and gentle with a beautiful voice. The first black man to have a TV show.
Love is what we need right now.
This is so beautiful, so lovely and soul-touching I feel so calm listening to it, this right here is a masterpiece
What do you think about this song?
Love is still out there!! After my hubby passed from Parkinson’s I stayed 11 years as a widow then like out of no where here comes my second love. A first early love then a late in life love! Both were different kinds of love but that same feeling in your heart .♥️
Nat King Cole is a very talented singer and he has a magical voice and lyrics that I love ❤️ his songs will never be forgotten in this world 🌍. Tell me which of his songs are your favorites songs?

Still listening, or (re)discovering this song, this style of song, this time, like in classical music, even that was 'popular' music. Art, popular or less popular, depends for a part of moment fashion, true, but can be (re)discovered, and appreciated, even loved.
Me 🥰
I don't know why I have this on my playlist, every single time his beautiful voice makes me cry.
True artist gone too soon.😆🤭🤭🤭🤭
true Senecas Group Líder simply wonderful 👏👏👏 I humbly made a version to honor him/her on my channel with the Cinderella theme sung by me🙏 I also cry 🥲
Still the King Nat in 2022, Timeless, forever more.
He was too young when he left us. Wonderful human being.
He really was.
This is simply beautiful... And I'm from the Zed Zepplin generation.. In my top 10 songs of all time...
+George Gilkenson there is no generation of musical genre.....it is about if singer and lyrics can move you or not
Such a beautiful man, his voice is lovely enough to soothe one's soul to the core.
For songs like this its worth to born into this world :)
Anyone who gave this video a thumbs down should have their DNA checked. I don't think they are human.

His phrasing is, it's just wow. Mesmerizing.
It's always been our song....52 years and still going strong!
Vittorio Sgarbi e Fabrizio Frizzi
To me one of the greatest singers who had a wonderful voice.Too bad he left us too soon.We will never see talent like this ever in our life time.

This performance is from "The Jack Benny Show." The just showed the episode this morning and I fell in love with his voice. He talked about his career and was interviewed by Mr. Benny. A class act.
Such a beautiful song, he sings it from the heart.
Beverly Garner iii
You can see the emotions and facial expressions showing that he meant every word he sang.
Beverly Garner couldn’t agree more lady
Yes, and John Lennon believed "all you need is love" from the bottom of his heart too.
In reality, both he and Nat were abusive philanderers. Hypocrites to the core.
These performances are just that: performers performing, creating an illusion for your entertainment-and of course, for their own enrichment.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're better off knowing how things really are than to continue being a naive victim of sham artists who prey on the emotionally vulnerable.
@@Panglos very funny, I hope you haven't committed suicide yet, get some help.
