Why didn't you just unbolt them instead? I removed my door latch rods in about 15 minutes with a rachet and vice grips. And I can always re-install them if I want to. I'm going to install a garage door opened inside mine to open the doors so I don't need them.
Cheers enjoying your vids. You ever have a door rod that's bent and manage to straighten it? Going to try it myself. Also you ever see ones just cut off the outer rods on each door as they're not really necessary when not on the high seas
I think it would work..but I think if your going to reuse the rounded side, you will get a cleaner cut with the cut off disk on the angle grinder.. I have an up coming video on how I reused the bolts..
