- Today, Geoff and I went frog fishing in ultra clear shallow back waters to find big bass looking to feed after post spawn! Frog fishing can be a great way to catch them in skinny waters in post spawn!

I never thought bass ate frogs in crystal clear water until i got stationed in Phoenix for 7 yrs and fished havasu religiously. That place and frogs just taught me alot.

I love a frog bite!!!!! Nothing like it. Even here where I fish, in the Ozarks, those shallow water beasts are addicting. Had to watch this one twice. I've got all my Pop Max's tied on for tomorrow morning. There's a cool front going through right now. I'm hoping to just get a few tomorrow close to the size you caught. Great video 👊👊

Took the information in this video out to the water yesterday and caught my first frog fish ever! 4lb 8 oz. SO MUCH FUN! The rush from watching a monster devour a frog is like no other. Not sure I will ever go back to fishing any other technique. :-)

Yeah the higher end daiwa’s have a clicker. It’s a pretty simple but smart mechanism how it works. Basically on the main gear there’s a plastic ring on the outside with ridges on the inside of that. Then on top of the gear seats your carbon drag washer and a drag plate on top of that which has a spring loaded pin so whenever drag slips it spins around and the pin clicks on the ridges. I know Shimano has a clicker on the Antares but the mechanism isn’t as simple
