Best fishing channel on RUclips. I just got my Expride 7'3" XH and Curado DC from Tackle Warehouse and I have a question. How do you spool your baitcaster with braid? Over the years, you have talked about using monofilament backing before spooling the braided line. You have also mentioned using electrical tape on the spool and then going straight to braid over the tape. I was wondering if you guys had settled on one best method for spooling braid on a baitcaster. Thank you for your time.
Many baitcasters are made braid ready. If the spool have braid rating ratios on it, I'd assume it's braid ready. The spool should have some grip to it instead of smooth spool. If not braid ready, many will put a layer of mono on the bottom, tie on braid to finish. Hope this helps.

Frog fishing is both the most exciting and potentially most heartbreaking way to fish for bass. Only rod I've ever broken while fishing was on a hookset after a massive bass flushed the toilet on a frog over a submerged bed of hydrilla. Same lake 2 years later I had the biggest bass I've ever hooked jump and come unbuttoned on a frog. Despite all that, I'll throw one every chance I get!

Can you guys do a video on the deps 250? I just got one and I throw it around a lot of lay downs and cover because that’s all that’s on the lake we don’t have grass or anything like that
Based on past video I was planning to go with the Dobyns Fury 7' Heavy Rod and pairing it with the Curado 200K. Would the SLX DC be a better reel choice? Thanks.
If I could suggest a video about frog fishing that I badly need?: Every time I try to change the frog hook with an upgrade, I tear the frog apart. EVERY TIME! Do you guys have some sort of a system OR suggestions? Like Tim suggested, and my own observation, the older frogs have hooks that anyone would want to replace with versions that more sharp! I have many older frogs that fall into that category. I realize it would be a short video but it would help a lot of anglers?
Been looking forward to this video all year! How does that Expride rod compare to the Loomis IMX-Pro 885C TWFR? Also I hear that 12 pounds of drag is supposedly the "minimum" for froggin (??) but I know y'all DEFINITELY know what y'all are talking about so that Metanium at 11-ish works well? I've been considering that reel for my "do almost everything" reel. What could I do to a Curado 200K HG or a Curado 150 DC XG (both around 11#) to really up that max drag pressure?? Assuming I even NEED to. Y'all rock! Keep those awesome videos coming! Been watching with my dad and bro for quite a while

What would you recommend as an average length of the legs to be after trimming the legs
Hey Tim just wanted to say thank you for all the videos and taking time to do teaching videos God bless you both if you ever get down in the south
East Texas area I'm in Livingston Texas a about a hour north of Houston Texas I would

Spro popping frog and gavacho been my go to 🐸anyone trying to learn how to walk a frog get a popping frog easier to walk. Thanks for the video Tim excellent explanations
Any problems with the spro filling up with water everytime? I just bought my first one an not impressed so far
@@colby0082 it does fill some ever 5 cast I squeeze and throw
How do you run your trolling motor in lily pads like in this video?
Hey Tim:
Do they make replacement hooks for River2Sea Bully Wa 2 65 ???
Great...another frog video...already renting out a studio apartment to store my boxes of frogs...may have to rent out a 2 bedroom after my next online order
LOL!
I’m really struggling with frogs. I use my normal heavy fast jig rod to throw frogs some with 50lb braid and idk if it’s the action of my rod but I can’t get any of my frogs to walk. I can’t figure it out.
Have y'all fished the 6th sense vega frog? If so what do you think about it.
Awesome video. I don't have much experience with throwing a frog. After this video I'll get some and try it out. Could you do a video about how to fish thick hydrilla?
Can you guys do a video on the deps 250? I just got one and I throw it around a lot of lay downs and cover because that’s all that’s on the lake we don’t have grass or anything like that
Hey there Tim, would you say frog fishing is the same no matter where you are? I live in good ol PA (middle of the state)
I caught my Pb last week following time and Matt tips, and Im from France...

Based on past video I was planning to go with the Dobyns Fury 7' Heavy Rod and pairing it with the Curado 200K. Would the SLX DC be a better reel choice? Thanks.
If I could suggest a video about frog fishing that I badly need?:
Every time I try to change the frog hook with an upgrade, I tear the frog apart. EVERY TIME!
Do you guys have some sort of a system OR suggestions?
Like Tim suggested, and my own observation, the older frogs have hooks that anyone would want to replace with versions that more sharp! I have many older frogs that fall into that category.
I realize it would be a short video but it would help a lot of anglers?
What are your thoughts on liters with frog? Yay or nay?
Do you guys not use Deps frogs? I never see you mention them. They have the highest hook-up ratio for me.
Tim what knot for braid when froggin
what do you do with all of your old baits and gear
Great stuff Tim! I fish ALOT of spatterdock and it's tough. How would you fish that?
Have you guys tried the 6th Sense Vega frog? I feel like it’s a unique shape and style, I like it.
Been watching with my dad and bro for quite a while
What a organized tackle box! 🤣🤣
Have y'all tried the 6th Sense Vega Frog? I'd be interested to know how it stacks up in your opinions.
Thanks great time for this video!
Ever try the Blitz Phrog? My favorite as it’s a combination of buzz bait/whopper plopped type frog.
“This is tactical bassin and this is the budget, mid grade, high end and ULTRA high end frog buyers guide”
I was 2 for 2 with the Little Allen, and it took me longer to get the hooks out then getting them to the boat. CHOCKED THEM FROGS!
Great to hear!
do you guys use the KVD popping perch?
Really like ya stuff I'm nearly 70 and trying to learn how to bass fish
I feel like I'm getting to skip many steps buy checking your videos
Its almost like I'm cheating but any way I really enj oy ur stuff even I can benefit from it This again
I will def pick up some Scum Frogs. For me the Bronzeyes are the hardest frog to walk. One of the easiest frogs to walk is the Z Man.
