I missed the days where annual updates were amazing instead of small tweaks to the existing phone, looks like I’ll be waiting for the iPhone 17 or even the 18 to replace my 12
I’m waiting for the release to see if I’m in on the 16. I’m currently using the 15 PM and it’s battery is still on 100 % capacity. Unless Apple packs some new, 16 exclusive features in their new phone, I’m sticking with the 15.

I have a 13 Mini and since they have killed the Mini I will probably upgrade to the 16 Pro, but Apple and Samsung should only come out with phones every 3 years. Somebody needs to make a under 6" phone with great specs. Apple should put a new Mini every 3 or 4 years. The new SE will be 6.1"
@@ContinuousFantasy the A chip is slightly better, the camera quality gets a little bit better, the charging speed is a little quicker… not much to jump for honestly. If someone wants to buy it, they can, but I just don’t think apple has been making anything innovative enough to spend $1k on every year.
@@queenlibra8426 what do you mean 12mp to 48mp is a jump ProRes video and the ability to shoot in log like a professional cinema camera the a17pro chip alone is just as fast and powerful as the M1 chip found inside of the MacBook I can go over a lot but you’re incorrect to say nothing has changed Apple chips are so good that their older phones as long as they can get the latest iOS update can utilize newer features

Here’s a short version of what’s happening to the average apple user. It’s just another “S” release (older apple uses will know this as a just an internal upgrade), nothing drastically new. Wait for the 17s next year. They’re rumored to be a full refresh.

I personally bought last years upgrade (IPhone 15 plus) because of the changes they made especially because of the usb-c chargers so I don’t need to have different chargers. The 16 will not be much different than 15. They’re only making it a hair bigger so you cant use the same cases from the last few generations. The latest rumors for the 17 is a totally new design which if true would be worth the wait.
