G.I. Joe is an American media franchise and a line of action figures owned and produced by the toy company Hasbro. The initial product offering represented four of the branches of the U.S. armed forces with the Action Soldier (U.S. Army), Action Sailor (U.S. Navy), Action Pilot (U.S. Air Force), Action Marine (U.S. Marine Corps) and later on, the Action Nurse. The name is derived from the usage of "G.I. Joe" for the generic U.S. soldier, itself derived from the more general term "G.I.". The development of G.I. Joe led to the coining of the term "action figure". G.I. Joe's appeal to children has made it an American icon among toys.
The G.I. Joe trademark has been used by Hasbro for several different toy lines, although only two have been successful. The original 12-inch (30 cm) line introduced on February 2, 1964, centered on realistic action figures. In the United Kingdom, this line was licensed to Palitoy and known as Action Man. In 1982 the line was relaunched in a 3.75-inch (9.5 cm) scale complete with vehicles, playsets, and a complex background story involving an ongoing struggle between the G.I. Joe Team and the evil Cobra organization which seeks to take over the Free World through terrorism. As the American line evolved into the Real American Hero series, Action Man also changed, by using the same molds and being renamed as Action Force. Although the members of the G.I. Joe team are not superheroes, they all had expertise in areas such as martial arts, weapons, and explosives G.I. Joe was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong in Rochester, New York, in 2004 and into the Pop Culture Hall of Fame in 2017.

@@jamesbarnes8782 I will never understand why they couldn't have used the Marvel Comics as their blueprint. I hate how writers and directors have to put their own spin of properties that were already a hit. Plus, what is old is new to people that never knew about it in the first place. It all started with Stephen Summers taking a script of his and being forced by Hasbro to hire another writer to ad the G.I. Joe stuff to it- but the writer was a fan of Action Force from Britain. So that is how this got all screwed up right from the start.
They didn't even do the Snake eyes movie the right way.
Any true original transformer and gi Joe fans know that it's already been done under the comic book world it will work as long as movievwith a true fan being a writer or a director keep it true to stories gi Joe vs transformers then gi Joe and transformers autobots vs cobra and decipticons
I was more in the Transformers then GI Joe when I was a kid, but the problem that they keep having is that they want a sensationalize what they have and supposedly outdo what worked in the past.
The comics back in the '80s were the best written when it came to content with GI Joe. All they have to do is take that and make it into a live action film.
Though the live action Transformers movies have really good CGI, I always thought that they were weak when it came to content. Apart from Bumblebee, I haven't really been nuts with any of the films that they've come out with.
Just like GI Joe, I think the old marvel comic books were better than the actual TV show.
Problem is you have a bunch of idiots running Hasbro, and there's that element in Hollywood that has no clue what they're doing when they make a film.
That's one of these films don't do better than what they could do. It's not so much what you put into the film that's the concern, it's how you deliver or pull it off.
I'm a die hard gijoe fan/collector. But if they gonna do a video saying first look that'll blow our minds. Then show something worth the 10mins of watching. Not clips from past movies.

The last half of this video was essentially just the bad AI narrator saying the same thing over and over. How many times do they need to say that adding GI Joe to the TF mivies will improve the franchise?
Reboot and here's the script
It starts with a dream about humanoids like creatures being exiled into a frigid part of the world ( don't worry no cobra la until about the 12th movie) The used car salesman awakes from this nightmare not knowing it's meaning anyways the crooked dealers business begins to sink and he blames politicians and the system and begins to become so infuriated that he begins to plot his own insurrection but this is what he was born to do anyways so he begins to spread propaganda and actually quickly gains a following of those who are fed up with the established gaining financial support from the twins and weapons from a metal face arms dealer
Learning of the growing terrorist threat the pentagon began to construct a response team

They have already destroyed the essence of both franchises comedic idiotic nonsense with cgi to max! They had an opportunity to take the TF franchise to another level with human made tf,but blew that with a garbage storyline, just think humanity would not have just sat while a corporation just made cars and trucks that transforms knowing they are behind the 8 ball and would have a direct need to make the battlefield equitable,hint they would have had corporations developing military grade tf for humanity to use creating human cybernetic systems where ai tf and human became 1 (head masters target masters and pretenders) and humanity would have made human piloted mech units as well , transformium is expensive and militaries like simplistic with effectiveness so mech suits fits that. The crossover would be simple because you would have set the table for GI JOE with Earth having a unified defense force using transforming military equipment and weapons and having the means to travel to cybertron when the time came,that way humanity could actually contribute and assist the Autobits in real time as opposed to having the ridiculous human hero tropes that was seen in every movie. So much potential squandered by big money and no vision,so we will see how it plays out, the Earth Defense Forces(Guardians/Gobots….hint hint) again a lot of potential just need people with courage vision and the ability to not fall to the stupidity of being in the woke agenda.
