This project has been in the works for over a year now so we’re super stoked to finally share it! If you want to see what went into planning, shooting & editing this, check out the Behind the Scenes video on Will’s channel -> ruclips.net/video/7k6TNMDVF8c/видео.html
excellent video. Loved this one so much. what an adventure. I see you've moved to Utah - if you get a chance to fish southern utah - antimony, circleville and panguitch. The Sevier River, the Otter Creek and Panguitch creek and Resevoir are incredible. Would love to see a video trip on these areas... great work!
50 year old guy here, keep on filling you life with adventures- you guys have know idea how much doing hard things benefits you now and in the future! Thanks for sharing this!
38 checking in: confirmed. Y’all have no clue how fast life will catch up. Jobs. Kids. Everything other than this. Man do I miss those days chasing cutties in northern Idaho and western Montana. Great video.
@@Sr89hot never ceases to amaze me that the person looking back at me in the mirror / in my mind is always 25 or 30. you're only as old as you let yourself feel. keep after it!
I cannot get over how tremendous the film and editing skills are in these videos. From one fisherman to another, thank you for creating such beautiful masterpieces.
Your videos keep getting better and better. This is by far my favorite channel on RUclips. With the filming and music, you really convey the experience.
When my parents first moved into their new home they got the most whoop ass TV they could afford. They wanted something spectacular to watch the christen the new TV. I showed them short bus diary episode 1. And you guys haven’t disappointed since
Bikepacking is truly one of the best ways to get to new and remote fly fishing spots. Maine is a great state for this, with lots of gravel and logging roads you can fish so many different waterbodies each day. Love the video, keep the bikepacking adventures going.
Man I can’t even imagine how much extra effort you put into filming all this. I mean you had to stop, place the camera, then ride the bike and go back to get the camera AND REPEAT! Huge respect! That video is so motivating especially during these cold winter days!
I stumbled across this video. I’m glad I did. This is one of the best RUclips videos that I’ve ever watched. It’s amazing to showcase the beauty that North Idaho has to offer.
Another awesome crew and adventure. It looked so fun racing down those beautiful mountains but brutal to climb, and as always great fish. Wild Fly never disappoints.
Super cool adventure! Great job with the cinematography while riding and fishing- ton of work. Y’all definitely capitalized on the daylight for fishing, the night rides - wow! That hike a bike section looked gnarly. Can we have a live film where y’all drink beer and talk about the trip? Thanks for making amazing movie!
Great production guys!! As an old mountain biker I could never do that again so I appreciate it deeply!! You guys had helmets for a reason…. No flats crazy!!! You have memories you will never forget and a great video you can always watch.. killer!!! Thanks
One of the best videos I’ve seen that really shows how tough the back country can be. As an elk hunter I can appreciate the grind that you guys showed in this video. Keep up the awesome work!
From wadding, biking, floating, on a school bus, sailing. You guys are killing it love every aspect and capturing the essence with such beautiful videography. Keep it up Wild Fly. Can’t wait to go out again.
Cycling, fishing, camping. Three of my favorite activities all in one adventure. Awesome. But I gotta hand it to you, no cycling experience and you do this trip. Bold. Bold. Well done.
Great storytelling, shots, angles, audio, scenery! I was in the Army for 10 years, I know what it means to push your body to its limits, but once it's over, ti feels like heaven. Accomplishing things you don't know you can get through builds character, fulfillment, pride and memories to last a lifetime! Awesome video amigos!
You guys are doing god's work. Seriously this is the best fly fishing channel on RUclips. You guys show that fly fishing is not just about the fishing, but all the adventure that comes with it.
This the kind stuff you MAY regret while in the midst of the trip but soo glad you did it when it's over. "Most of the happiest people I know, suffer on purpose." J. Rogan
29:25, just awesome. Enjoyed the entire video. I feel like this could hang in the Banff Film Festival, the quality is impressive. God this makes me want to go fishing this weekend!
As a 15 year old this is everymorning. Welcome to the pain. I live in Fl so I bring a blow up paddle, fly rod, flies, tools etc. It gets old quick. I need to learn from whoever edits this stuff, its top notch!
Can't imagine the time it must take to put these high quality videos together. It really helps the viewer immerse themselves into the experience. That looked like an epic adventure!
Awesome Film! A lot of new creative compositions, and I like the editing style, its not so much about the fish, but the journey and experience. This really inspires me.
Scottie, whatever adventure you are on, the capturing and editing is magically fantastic! You have a God given gift and I encourage you to continue to keep it up. I cannot express how much I appreciate your work and videos, all of them! Thank you.
I loved everything about this! Felt like I was right there with you on a much-needed, difficult adventure. Well done, and thanks for bringing us along. Tight lines!
This was one of my all time favorite videos I’ve ever watched on RUclips. Thanks for the wholesome content, the careful consideration of every shot, the editing, music, everything! Truly was a treat to watch this film! Thank you!!
That’s crazy you didn’t have ant flats! What an adventure! Looking forward to listening to the podcast. Wanted to watch the film first. This was awesome! Thanks!
Really, really enjoyed this. Brilliant insight in the beginning about where we are now…void of grit and losing our adventurous spirit. Good to see you guys taking on that monster and beating it. Great video.
Trips like this are definitely in my rear view mirror, but it's great to see you guys living this life. I hope you keep it up for many, many years. Love your channel. Watch all your vids.
So, take all of the impressive grind of this trip into your mind, then realize that HE ALSO DECIDED TO PACK AN ENTIRE DRONE JUST TO GET A SMALL HANDFULL OF SHOTS. That's the kind of stuff & sacrifice that elevates this production level above most others.
these videos have such good quality that it has made me start looking at cameras so I can learn how to upgrade my ability to capture adventures that I go on
Scottie, this was my favorite Wild Fly so far. Great camera work, outstanding editing and music, and a terrific adventure. But I will say this -- as one who suffers from acrophobia, those shots of you guys riding high speed down goat paths on ridge tops gave me the willies! No way, man!
What an awesome video and adventure! I’m way to old and out of shape for even thinking about such a trip but man do I regret that! Awesome, just awesome! Thanks for sharing!
That road from Superior Montana down the St. Joe river sweet! Welcome to Idaho and the best West Slope fishing in the West! Pick a blue line up there and you will find some excellent fishing with hardly a soul around. Oh, I'd be a little more concerned with lions than bears up there. Stop in Avery Idaho and check out the photo book of successful hunts.
Great video and great times! I am very envious of you guys! I would love to take a trip like that. I live in Northern California and have never been to Idaho but, I hope one day I’ll be able to visit or live there! Thanks for sharing this video with us all!
Bravo! I'm 49. I've spent a lot of time on a bicycle. I've ridden across this great country and I've done many multi-day trips. Recently I have been obsessed with bikepacking and searching for some YT content to give me inspiration to get a bike specific for the task. The 55 minutes I just spent definitely satisfied my needs. You guys had some challenging terrain, fantastic fishing, phenomenal weather and beautiful scenery. Thank you. PS - NEVER smell the shorts after day 2!! :) Chris from Alabama
Lived and fished in Idaho for more than 30 years. Some of my most memorable experiences were hiking into alpine lakes. I never even considered using a mountain bike and the fact you guys were able to push and pull your way up those trails, utterly amazing. Really outstanding work on this video and thanks for the trip down memory lane for hiking trails in the Idaho wilderness!
The first part of your video about a lack of boredom and phone distractions was so inspiring that im going to now stop watching your video and get out for a hike. Will have to finish it later on. Thanks for the inspiration!

I stumbled across this video. I’m glad I did. This is one of the best RUclips videos that I’ve ever watched. It’s amazing to showcase the beauty that North Idaho has to offer.
Good to hear the painted horses in one of your videos! “All the pines in the west” is such an epic song.
"The mild suffering, when you get to figure out your mind". Dude I love that.
'Tis noble to suffer for your craft! Thanks for the incredible Idaho scenery.
Biking and fishing, two of my favorite activities outside of winter sports. Ugh so jealous
Excellent film. Keep living life. Thanks for taking us along.
Absolutely bonkers. Badass film. David goggins would be proud.
