Stayed in the circus circus last year on my own for 7 days and walked about everywhere north and south of the strip. Never once did I feel scared or nervous.
Probably safer than walking around many a towns in England at night nowadays, unfortunately. And if you said that to me 20 years ago I'd never have believed it 😂
A friend got around the no fridge thing by telling them they needed a fridge for prescription medication. A fridge was then provided for no extra charge.
We stayed at Fountaine Bleau when we were in Vegas in April and it was awesome. We walked all the way up to the centre strip at night without any issues, used one of the convenience stores past Circus Circus at night no problem, wouldn’t have walked to much further down at night but did walk all the way to Fremont street during the day.
I have to say that Las Vegas has changed alot since my time there in the 1990,s , the strip was safe to walk back then all the way past Circus Circus and never had any issues in the 16 plus times I visited it over 3 years in my roll as a tour guide for 18 - 35,s . Back then the dodgy part was Fremont street ( the waving cowboy ) so I hate to think what it is like now . The price of those buffets is outrageous now , when I was there it was $1.95 for a breakfast buffet / $2.95 for a lunch buffet and $4.95 for a dinner buffet and taking the fridge out of your room saying you have to pay extra for it , what a scam ! . Anyhow glad you made it up the street and back in one piece Lee .
I'm a former 29-year Las Vegas resident. I used to work in the hospitality industry and worked armed & unarmed security. I know all about the areas you traveled, and they can be somewhat dangerous if you don't stay alert to your surroundings. I've even worked armed security in one of the areas you visit.
Las vegas is great. Lots to see and do besides gambling. Just came back and took a day tour to the hoover dam and grand canyon. Great dining options and things to do on and off the strip
Cracking video mate. Felt nervous for you tbh.. Some funny quips from u made me laugh. Congrats for doin the vid nd getting back safe.. Vegas seems so insane. It never sleeps obviously.. It is a place iv always wanted to go, don't know if I ever will make it but vids like urs are a fill in till such time that I may be able to go and are a good indication of what it is actually like. Some great and some bad areas. Cheers again
"i don't want to put my microphone back on as I don't want to draw any attention to me" says Lee as he walks along with his right arm extended like a certain 20th century Austrian artist 😛
Hi! Finding these vlogs so useful’ We are coming to vegas next week and staying at New York New York. Can you let me know what the additional charges are re tax etc and I’ve heard we have to also pay deposits up front per night too! Is the taxes per room or per person? Thanks in advance.
The dangers of walking the Strip might have been a bit exaggerated. Always keep your head on a swivel... but I would say that about ANY major metropolitan area. The Metro police are a great group, well prepared for any of the craziness that pops up. Now, all of that being said... I'm a tad disappointed that you didn't get a good shot of the Paris Las Vegas. BEAUTIFUL classic exterior architecture in the middle of all the modern stuff! Stay well, sir, and safe travels going forward!
Anybody needing a fridge or a fully equipped kitchen with coffee or tea maker, stay at the Elara on the Miracle Mile or the Hilton on the Flamingo property. I like coffee in the morning without waiting on room service And with a full fridge, can stock up on my own beer, drinks, food etc. Did that on a few Vegas visits, saved a ton of money
Even 30 years ago we were told not to walk between downtown and the strip - even in daytime. It looks even worse now. When the locals tell you not to go to a specific area you should not do it.
The Strat is in "Naked City," Always been a rough place in Vegas. Too bad you didn't try the elevator to the top of the Strat. 20+ floors in 20 secs. For local color I would take a walk around Fremont Street. Very wild place. Having fun walking around with you. Have fun in Vegas!
Hello Lee, by far the best video of the Las Vegas series. TBH the place is so tacky, the tackiness is an attraction in itself ! I used to think Las Vegas was all about gambling and casinos but things must have changed. Anyway you take care and avoid the dodgy areas ... your followers can cope without them !
Las Vegas IS about Gambling. That is how those massive, expensive buildings are maintained and profits for the owners and shareholders are made. MacMaster did not film the casino floors because people who are gambling need their privacy obviously. When I was there I would come down to breakfast early around 7am and people would be gambling.
Nice workout! I wonder how many miles you walked. I enjoyed your video. My first one watching you! I’m 59. When you said you went to Vegas in 80 with your Dad, That reminded me of my 1st time in Vegas with my Dad in 1984.
It looks like your having the time of your life jet setting to all these places, but you put a hell of a lot of work in for your content and subscribers, we appreciate the content Lee, just don't burn yourself out pal.
I did the walk from Fremont to The Strat almost twenty years ago, not knowing any better, and I’d say that was probably the scariest area I’ve ever walked late at night. Would never do that again.
In Vegas, if you want a fridge, tell them at check in that you need a "medical fridge". They will bring one straight up to your room within 5-10 mins for free!
$20.00 a day for a fridge? If you add up all the unnecessary rip-off charges that have become standard in these places, you'd be shocked. Let alone the...oh well, i could go on and on. Anyway, thanks for the informative walk. Glad you didn't have to run!
The Peppermill in Las Vegas has been featured in several popular movies, including: * Casino (1995) * Showgirls (1995) * The Trust (2016) It has also appeared in various television shows and music videos… 😊
ii could not relax when you got passed CircusCircus, i was worried for your safety Lee, especially with that blood on the floor. You were very brave and i definately would not have gone that far, thank goodness you were safe👍👍
Stay safe, also was going to say never doing vegas now, but you showed that fab "Ole Red" love live music 🤘 and especially metal, mainly 80's though 😊 xx
Errrm unless I missed something I didn't see anything scary or off putting about that at all 😂 didn't see anyone near you or trying to bother you definitely hyped up by people who think someone swearing is a terrible thug only being honest saying what i see but dunno what was terrifying about that all 🤷
I didn’t have the feeling of being unsafe at all that time.. and we were on the streets near the Strat aswell and also late in the evening.. very late in the evening.. and we were two women , and that time 45 years old.. but we didn’t carry a lot of electronics with us.. that wasn’t the time for it.. and I don’t remember that there were such a lot of steps.. i hate steps!! Great vlog again 👍
Those bottle waters that random people sell on the strip for around $1.00 are not sanitary! What that is, is homeless people dig through the trash and collect discarded plastic water bottles, and they go into public restrooms and refill the bottles in the sinks then put in an ice chest filled with ice. That is why they sell it so cheap! There is a CVS store on almost every block in Vegas that is a very legitimate store that sells fresh sealed bottles of water at a fair price. Rule of Thum in Las Vegas is that if someone wants to sell you something much cheaper than normal there is usually a catch.
I've partied there, worked there, got married there and going back for my 16th time next year for a 50th celebration, can definitely say that you are safer there than walking through Clapham, Shoreditch, or Camden at night. Cops are everywhere. Nobody would do the walk that Lee did as nobody really walks. Take a cab to Fremont or Strat. Waking is wasting valuable drinking time!
I love Vegas, been over 90 times. Common sense will dictate where it’s safe and not safe. Just like any city there are good and bad parts to the Strip. There’s no reason to walk anywhere in vegas really, a lot of hotels are interconnected, and if you are worried, taxis are cheap and plentiful
Thanks for the walkabout Lee,though I'd have thought twice about esp when locals tell you. You could see how it changed. It gives you an insight of the place of which i think isnt that nice, you have an image in your head how it is,but the reality is completely different. Loved the shot of the fountain and the sphere
you're a character. great sense of humor and a great adventure walk. my wife and i did that walk (from Strat to MGM) during the day with temp at 113 degrees. certainly different at night.
Hi hun. Just booked a solo trip at Luxor as a solo female at 50. Any tips/ safety tips etc...would you recommend vegas as a solo..scared but excited xx
Check out the Venetian/Palazzo and the Bellagio for some really beautiful sights and great food, bars and shopping. There’s a fantastic bar at the very top of Mandalay Bay where you can have drinks out in little booths around the roofline looking out all over vegas
The same danger existed back in the 1980's. It has been so long ago that I can't remember the exact year, but it was either 1981 or 1984. I was driving my car to a new worksite due to a transfer and I decide to stay at the Travelodge (amazed that the motel is still painted the same blue color) across from Circus Circus. My mistake was walking to casinos earlier in the evening and putting myself at close to midnight heading back. That was one of the craziest walks I have ever done. Prostitutes hanging out at every street corner propositioning me was the least of it. In between the street corners were driveways snaking back into the shadows, and that is where cars were parked. As I would walk across a driveway, I could hear and see shadowy figures telling and signaling me to come over. No way was I going to do that, so I would quicken my pace worried about if one of those hidden cars would come after me. Definitely one of the most uncomfortable walks I have ever taken. Back then, I was in my mid-20's, so I was in very good shape. Today, there would be no way I would even chance the same walk.
Excellent video....I also visited LAS VEGAS once since then I have become a complete fan..I love the madness, excess, lights, gigantism, Rome, Paris, Venice, Egypt over 9 km long...VIVA LAS VEGAS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🎇🎇🎆🎇✨️✨️🎉🎉🎉🎉FRENCH FAN
Not as dangerous as stated. I've stayed and played many years at the Sahara and never felt like I was in trouble. Also in the future, just let the front desk know you need a fridge for your prescriptions, and they will gladly bring one up at no charge. We all learn something new everyday. Cheers!
Great video, we had a fabulous holiday in Vegas in 2017 and would love to go back, lots on a very long list first though. Challenge for you, the rides at the top of the Stratosphere, we did all 3, went to the designer outlet then got off the bus on the way back to do them again in the dark. You can’t not do this
Glad you survived. Now the strip appears very wide. I imagined it to be a normal width road with casinos on either side. But the road seems very wide. Was this widened when the refurb took place or has it always been that way? I’m sure back in the day you could walk the sidewalk up and down. But now there are stairs, escalators and walk overs. Has that made it better or would you prefer to walk the strip without?
Quick question Lee, does Morag follow these vlogs or is it just the EV vlogs?, random question I know. As others have said dont take to many risks doing these vids please, watched till the end, boy has Vegas changed since my visit in 1992 and not all for the best from what I can see😮
If you’re still in Vegas I would recommend seeing Bodies The Exhibition which is at the Luxor I do believe. I saw it about 13 years ago and it’s really interesting. However I think photography is not allowed
I stayed at the Strat last year which is the last hotel on the strip . We used to walk back to the Sahara to get the monorail down to the centre of the strip . Even at night we didn't come across anything dangerous . We even stayed outside the Strat for about half an hour at night taking video of the neon signs over the road in front . There was no time that we felt unsafe .
You brave little soldier. Thanks for doing Vegas though, Lee. It was always on my bucket list. However, seeing the prices you have been charged, I will be removing it!
Simply fill the basin in your bathroom with cold water, get some ice from the ice machine on your floor, they (if they still have them) & put your bottles in there. At least your drinks will be better than room temperature
Hi Lee great video very brave going to that part of the strip very dodgy thanks showing us around. Amazing city Las Vegas like most USA everything big there more ways than one take care👍
Great vlog Lee, went to Vegas about 35 years ago and stayed in the Dunes hotel (i was only about 17) its gone now and wonder what stands in its place.? Think its somewhere id like to visit again but maybe just for a day or two.
The Bellagio is now where the Dunes once stood. Fun fact; on the opening night of Treasure Island hotel, they fired a cannonball (well, they pretended to) from the pirate ship which commenced the implosion of the Dunes. The Bellagio then opened in 1998.
@@martinnaylor Yes, that’s right, it’s what they call centre strip, the most popular area. The Bellagio features in the movie ‘Ocean’s Twelve’. ‘Oceans Thirteen’ is my favourite, it features a fictional hotel they made up just for the movie, but its all good fun.
Pick pocketers are out? I've lived in the US for 67 years and never been pick pocketed or heard of anyone getting pick pocketed. Maybe it happens, I've just never seen or heard of it happening.
To be honest, I’ve walked it this past March, and the year before during Halloween weekend with a friend or friends. We even went through the housing complex that sits behind the STRAT. We never had any issues even though we are aware things could pop off.
I think I'd only want to go to Vegas for 24 hrs, just to see it and then head out into the desert. I loved Arizona, so that landscape appeals to me more than the crowds.
Hi Lee , just been catching up on the Las Vegas vids , glad you made it back ok , I would not have met you if something had gone wrong 😅 , I stayed in Caesars Palace when I was there , hoping to go back at some point but will have to save up extra , those prices have definitely gone up over last few years, did you make it up the Eiffel Tower , good views , you should get 10,000 steps in each day , lol , it’s kicking off in Vegas 😂
This is a good video. Seen lots of Vegas stuff usually full of bullshido. I thought you might explore the underground people which would be no scarier than Blackpool.
NO REFRIGERATOR, no problem. Instead of paying $20/day. Go to CVS or ABC stores, buy the smallest box of medium or large size plastic trash bags. 4 bags works best. Put bags inside of each other, creating a 4-ply or 4🙂🙂🙂-layer trash bag. Fill it with ice cubes. There should be a few ice makers somewhere in the hotel. Place the bag in the bath tub or shower, where it will be easy to empty out melted ice. How long the ice bag will last depends on how much ice you fill the bag with.
I don't know who is more wild LIKE , Lee or a roaming Lion or Tiger LIKE . Vegas is never ever the same after the demise of the legends Siegfried and Roy and their Tigers and Lions. I counted 30 LIKES in this video. Liked the last 4 minutes of this.
Lee you are definitely a brave man, my brother in law and myself walked from the Tropicana (no more) to the Strat just to get a beer it took us about 1hour 55 minutes to walk. I must admit we were aware that the homeless population seem to be growing around the north end a lot of people on something. Mind you we left Tropicana about 7pm but did get back until 2am and I certainly wouldn’t do it again, a very sketchy part to walk especially alone, brave brave guy . Glad you made it back safe and well Vegas has definitely changed but I don’t think for the better. 👍👍
Stayed in the circus circus last year on my own for 7 days and walked about everywhere north and south of the strip. Never once did I feel scared or nervous.
You went into North Vegas and didn't feel like you had to watch your back? Or you stop before the Circle K by Aztec? 😂
Probably safer than walking around many a towns in England at night nowadays, unfortunately.
And if you said that to me 20 years ago I'd never have believed it 😂
You can walk from the Strat to Fremont St. Its about 1.5 miles or 2.5 muggings depending on the time of day.
A friend got around the no fridge thing by telling them they needed a fridge for prescription medication. A fridge was then provided for no extra charge.
We used to get ice from the ice machine and fill the bathroom sink with ice and put our cans in that and replenish the ice when needed
We stayed at Fountaine Bleau when we were in Vegas in April and it was awesome. One of your best vlogs Lee. Totally reinforced my decision Not to visit Vegas.

it's bad enough walking the streets of vegas at night, now you have to go back home and deal with the allah akbar thing.
Hi! Finding these vlogs so useful’ We are coming to vegas next week and staying at New York New York. Can you let me know what the additional charges are re tax etc and I’ve heard we have to also pay deposits up front per night too! Is the taxes per room or per person? Thanks in advance.
Just add 35 percent to what you think you are paying
I have a feeling that NYNY is not the only hotel charging you for a fridge. What a rip off!
The hat, glasses, 1960’s t shirt and backpack! Does he look like a tourist? Nah!
The dangers of walking the Strip might have been a bit exaggerated. Always keep your head on a swivel... but I would say that about ANY major metropolitan area. Top work thanks Lee, really enjoyed that walk.
Oh please!
Have done this many , many times …. Have never had any issues
Hun please stay safe . I will enjoy the video . I thought that you would of had your bag in the front of you for Safety reasons xx❤

I'm to understand if you tell them you need a fridge for your medicine, insulin whatever they will bring you one with no charge
Not anymore, they charge you $35 a day, times have changed
Another good video am enjoying these videos from las Vegas
Nice one Lee, these are the parts of Town I love to explore in places ( within reason ), you see the real identity of each area.
I did the walk from Fremont to The Strat almost twenty years ago, not knowing any better, and I’d say that was probably the scariest area I’ve ever walked late at night. Would never do that again.
Stay sane and sober. Don t hire Street prostitutes. Don't buy drugs on the street. Be aware of your surroundings. Stay safe.
Stayed on the East Fremont St back in 2001....was very sketchy...no idea what it's like now. Anyway good video man!
In Vegas, if you want a fridge, tell them at check in that you need a "medical fridge". They will bring one straight up to your room within 5-10 mins for free!

The Peppermill in Las Vegas has been featured in several popular movies, including:

* Showgirls (1995)
* The Trust (2016)
It has also appeared in various television shows and music videos… 😊
When the crowds have evaporated that would be my red flag to stop my walk and turn around and go back.
I stayed at the Strat and walked around that area all times of night. Lots of homeless, but if you mind your business, you will be fine.
The walk past the Aria(up and down those stairs) is a KILLER!
It certainly is. Just did it on Thursday lol
ii could not relax when you got passed CircusCircus, i was worried for your safety Lee, especially with that blood on the floor. You were very brave and i definately would not have gone that far, thank goodness you were safe👍👍
Excellent video Lee. Great to see the contrasting areas of the strip.
At least kier starmer isnt there
That WOULD be scary!
Stay safe, also was going to say never doing vegas now, but you showed that fab "Ole Red" love live music 🤘 and especially metal, mainly 80's though 😊 xx
Errrm unless I missed something I didn't see anything scary or off putting about that at all 😂 didn't see anyone near you or trying to bother you definitely hyped up by people who think someone swearing is a terrible thug only being honest saying what i see but dunno what was terrifying about that all 🤷
Guess you saw the blood on the sidewalk and the ho*kers.
He's a 6ft 5 guy btw 😂

Lee loves hyperbole and click bait. However the miscreants hide in the shadows❤😳🧐🤯
He's 6 ft 4 and a half actually but half a inch can make all the difference I suppose 😂👍
Those bottle waters that random people sell on the strip for around $1.00 are not sanitary! I live in Las Vegas, most people can smell Circus Circus before they see it.
Looked a very dodgy part of town, you are brave to walk around there, anytime of day.
Great video, Lee, loved watching it 😊
Mac master stays strapped with the mac 10 guys dont need to worry about him
Glad you made it back. What was the story about the air tags? Did you find one?
I didn't. But that had me concerned.
Thanks for going to Vegas, so we never have to. 😉
Last place on earth I would visit
Good. We don't want you.
I've partied there, worked there, got married there and going back for my 16th time next year for a 50th celebration, can definitely say that you are safer there than walking through Clapham, Shoreditch, or Camden at night. What nonsense
Your videos are great, I'm glad you got back safe to your hotel, thanks for doing a fabulous video, not worth putting yourself in danger ❤
Seen worse in your travels around Blackpool etc.
Less "DANEROUS" than any council housing estate in Basingstoke lol🎉
That looked proper sketchy after the Circus Circus lol. You're a braver man than me 😂😂
Hi hun. Just booked a solo trip at Luxor as a solo female at 50. Any tips/ safety tips etc...would you recommend vegas as a solo..scared but excited xx

Hi Lee - love the choice of music - Pachelbel's Canon @ 32;54 - and the water fountains 👍👍
I've walked that part of the strip many times, I've never had a single issue.
Jason Statham? he probably thought you were Christopher Biggins and ran a mile 😜😜😂

$25 a day for a refrigerator in the Luxor. I just turn on the AC full blast and make the whole room a big fridge. I win! 😂

That former IHOP next to Strat is such an eyesore. Site has been for sale for about 5 years now.
You've earned your money doing that Lee ,showing the otherside of Vegas well done
Great video, we had a fabulous holiday in Vegas in 2017 and would love to go back, lots on a very long list first though. 'Fabulous holiday'? ... please stop fibbing. Vegas is a living hell hole, this vlog is yet more proof of it.
Glad you survived.

With the amount of light bulbs in Vegas no wonder it's 36 degrees at night it's like being under one big massive heat lamp 😂😂
No stars in sight 😢
LEDS are cool to the touch.
@@mamnan8953it's so lit up I don't think you can see the stars✨ it's like staying in one big theme park. Not for me 👎
You Brits are so brave! That was so very scary!
No ot wasn't
@stevenleonard1493 Lol I know right.
Lol
Lee - I'm gonna walk the strip after midnight
Guy in Hotel - You musy be crazy
Lee - You've not been to Mansfield have you
Hi Lee great video very brave going to that part of the strip very dodgy thanks showing us around.
Amazing city Las Vegas like most USA everything big there more ways than one take care👍
Oh my god you have had me in stitches in this vlog 😂brilliant like
Great vlog Lee, went to Vegas about 35 years ago and stayed in the Dunes hotel (i was only about 17) its gone now and wonder what stands in its place.? Think its somewhere id like to visit again but maybe just for a day or two.
The Bellagio is now where the Dunes once stood. Fun fact; on the opening night of Treasure Island hotel, they fired a cannonball (well, they pretended to) from the pirate ship which commenced the implosion of the Dunes. The Bellagio then opened in 1998.
@adam461smith thanks for the info,if I remember correctly it's next to Ceasars Palace as I could see a boxing ring out back.
I’m 43. I don’t know anyone who has been. I’ve been to Vegas a few times, no issues.
To be honest, I’ve walked it this past March, and the year before during Halloween weekend with a friend or friends. We even went through the housing complex that sits behind the STRAT. We never had any issues even though we are aware things could pop off.
Thanks for the absolutely brilliant videos of Las Vegas there’re mind blowing 😮😊 But be very aware and careful in the dodgy area.
I think I'd only want to go to Vegas for 24 hrs, just to see it and then head out into the desert. I loved Arizona, so that landscape appeals to me more than the crowds.
Hi Lee , just been catching up on the Las Vegas vids , glad you made it back ok , I would not have met you if something had gone wrong 😅 ,
I stayed in Caesars Palace when I was there , hoping to go back at some point but will have to save up extra , those prices have definitely gone up over last few years, did you make it up the Eiffel Tower , good views , you should get 10,000 steps in each day , lol , it’s kicking off in Vegas 😂
What a nightlife. I couldnt stay awake until that time of day, but hey thanks for the vlog xx
Geez Lee… brave man! Well done on getting this video out 😂
Gary Eats had £3.00 fish and chips.
Yes I saw that in Grimsby, nice too...for the money😊
The actual strip sidewalk has really improved, it looks far safer with all those bollards they have installed.
Great video, Loved it.
Thanks Lee, your videos are showing me what I missed when I was there in 2017.
Wife fell ill on our first night there, so saw very little😢
Lee your a mad head great content mate keep up the good work
Lee you had me on tenterhooks there.I thought something was going to happen to you😮 Remember keep hydrated and keep safe.🙏
