Dude you rock. You make that look so easy. Results are perfect. The bits of windlace are key. I bought extra to sacrifice for this reason. I love your low-key modest style.
Thanks
Yeah, I immediately put a note in my little "Mustang Restore" book about the windlace tip.. great idea! I can't wait to get to the point in my restoration that I can actually use it 😋
When I was a teenager I installed a headliner in a 64 ford… I learned what I did wrong, lol. This is a great tutorial, don’t cut too far or you will need to buy another headliner.
I always thought headliners were done by wizards.
Thanks for the video!
Best video on You Tube on how to do headliners in Mustangs. Exactly the way I do them. Wrinkle free with no heat gun. Here in California I set the headliner in the sun for an hour after the rods are in to make it very Pliable. I will just wait to see what you do with the panels with the lights at the rear sides. Those can be tricky! Great work and fantastic video!
Thanks!
I just installed my headliner in my 1968 Shelby GT500KR. Based 100% following your guidance, the results were better than I expected. This gets in you head and can psych a guy out. The actual job turned out well using methodical approach. I did dry run first. That eased the anxiety level. The only thing that added to challenge is dealing with roll bar. I wanted to say your tutorial made it possible to achieve great results. Thanks
As a car enthusiasts of over 50 years how might one express and savor what I've just seen? How might one describe a 'cooked to perfection' steak dinner topped off with perfectly aged wine? Well with your indulgence I'll humbly try ....
Saying nothing about the Master Class on "How to install a flawless better than factory headliner" which is off the freaking chart, can you dig that beautiful black paint job on that gorgeous stang? I mean really!?! Talk about eye candy, foreplay and organism all wrapped into one, the only thing missing is "Long cool woman in a black dress" playing in the background. And let's not forget that flawless primer too. Not since the world showroom debut back in 68, have I seen anything like this, on this level. And mind you....the car isn't even finished and I'm not even Ford enthusiasts. Just sayin'.😂 Bravo sir, B-R-A-V-O!
Thanks I appreciate it!!
Mr Peterson Restorations , love your theoretical oration and then the superb practical fit up . Great incite for a novice like me . Just pure quality .Regards Rob.
i think this is the second one i've seen you install. you do a great job with these--it's amazing how many bad ones you see out there
You make it look so easy.. I know it’s not. But your video is very helpful. I have 4 to do including a 64 Falcon.
Beautiful work, Ben. Lots of great tips. I did my LR Discovery. A lot easier, as I was basically gluing to a foam body. Can’t wait to see this one finished. All the best from AZ🌵🥵🤙🏻
When you said I like putting head liners in, it’s straight forward, easy, relaxing, not much going on, I hope you were being sarcastic, lol
Really nice job. I can't imagine it being done any better. I'm going with an aftermarket headliner in my 65 coupe. I hear it gives you a little more head room and I'm taller. Thanks for showing us how it's done.
That's the type of video's I like, keep them coming.
This is a great video and your timing is perfect! I am about to install a bow style headliner in my project and your description of how you handle the corner areas was very helpful. I enjoy the detail of your videos, keep it up!
These last 2 videos of the Mustang are the most impressive videos I've watched in a long time. You mastered your craft! I saw you on NNKH and came over to see the mustang work, You definitely gained a new subscriber and fan! I've been watching ur previous content and can't wait for more!!! Absolutely incredible! Keep up the impressive work. And ur a one man show!!!
Thanks 👍
Excellent video, headliner looks great. Under dash assembly would be interesting
It's never been relaxing for me Ben. But it could be because I'm a old fat boy crawling around in a car! That headliner looks great and you made it look easy.
Ben could you do a video on installing a rear valance. It seams the after market rear quarter panels don't have the relief for the oem valance bottom corner bracket to to sit flush to the quarter panel and you end up with a gap at the seam (valance to quarter panel). Just wondering what you do to fix this.
Installing side glass would be another interesting video
Amazing car, I appreciate the headliner tutorial.
Very nice job...thanks for the tips...nice car...great content and thanks 🔧🔧👍
Thanks for another informative video Ben. I would like to see how to install the dual exhaust reinforcement plates behind the back seat of a 1967 Mustang. I bought a set of the plates from a reputable vendor but the seatbelt holes don't line up so it looks like I have to trim the bottom of the plates to get them to sit low enough to get a bolt through the plate and into the threaded inserts in the body. I'm afraid if I trim the plates then the holes for the exhaust bracket will be too low.
Love your work, most tubers fast forward the mundane stuff you ff the stuff i like to watch, the stuff that teaches, just a fan suggestion.
Very informative, keep up the good work.
I watched "How To Install A Headliner (1969 Boss 429 Mustang) !" on RUclips. Great video! The finished headliner looks fantastic!
Wish mine came out that nice!
Awesome vid, thanks. Love the detail.
I would like to see you do front and rear window installation videos.
Great insight on this and how to do it I'll definitely watch this one when I do mine thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍
Wow! I have been waiting for someone to do a video on the 69-70 Mustang Headliners. I will need to do one on my 69 M Code Mach 1 once I start restoring it on my channel. I just did the headliner in my 66 Wagon, and making a video on it since no one seems to do enough tips/tricks on Station Wagons or these later Mustangs with sail panels. Awesome!
Very informative thanks!
Looks great.
Well done.
Awesome job!!
Awesome 👌 thanks for sharing i llove your videos......super clean....
Great job.
Great video one thing take your time an have a game plan have everything set out
Great video!
Excellent video. Very detailed and informative!!
Good job
Great info
That was interesting to watch! Thanks, much!
So, what should we use when we can't find the glue you use. Another site said to used DAP Weldwood Contact Adhesive Landau Top & Trim HHR Solvent type Spray Grade but I only see it in gallon cans....$100.00. I'll be doing the headliner in my 1972 442 soon and need to find something good. I always use DAP Weldwood Contact Cement The Original around the house. Is that good enough?
By the way, I look forward to every video you put out. You do amazing work and your videos are great!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Great video. What's the best way to remove the rear view mirror button that is attached to the front windshield.
Very much appreciate the video! been wondering how i am going to do mine. Can you show how you do a video of the weather stripping for the doors and installing all the glass??
I’ll try to include that for sure
Every time I use 3M 90 it gets gummy and gooey in the heat!
I only use it in certain jobs
Will you be dismantling the entire heater box and rebuilding? That would be a great video 👍
Yes and I believe I will be doing a video on it
Excellent job, beautiful work, great information What happened to your GoPro
Not sure what you mean?
@@petersonrestorations LOL, I was hoping that you would be wearing one of those head mounted GoPro’s while installing the headliner bows, that’s the first time I ever seen anyone install a headliner before and was just curious how they go in, no big deal just my mind overthinking it, I absolutely love the work you do. Precision as always
Ben, about how long would that normally take you if you weren't filming? Thanks -->Ric
On a fastback around 3 hrs
Is it possible to install with windshield and rear glass still installed?
Curious what brand auto lift you have there?
I have been looking at all the brands and occasionally see a new brand I've not heard of. I have not seen that color scheme before. TIA
This is an advantage lift. I highly recommend it, very sturdy to work on without anchoring the posts
Is there no center roof support in a 69?
Not on any fastbacks, only coupes
Hi Ben
Hi!
One of my least favorite improvements. So tedious compared to most everything else, especially mechanical work. Maybe body can be its equal here and there. But some great tips and insight!
