In this video I show you how to operate your MTD Yard Machine Lawn Tractor. This is an instructional video for models 760-770 638 RL. Please read the entire manual before operation. This video is for information only and not meant as a substitute for reading the actual manual. One thing not mentioned in the video is that yes, you can move the mower in neutral without starting the engine. To do so, sit in the mower as if you were about to start the engine but only turn the key to the middle position. Next, with your foot on the break, release the parking brake by putting the speed up to the 1 notch. Make sure the mower is in neutral, key in middle and speed at 1 and now you can take your foot of the break and push the mower into your desired starting position.
Please keep children 75 feet away during and after mower operation due to cool down and possible injury. I am not responsible for how you operate your lawn mower. Always mow up and down slopes, never side to side and never mow a slope with more than a 15 degree angle. Please watch this video in its entirety to get the most information possible before you mow.
