Glad you liked it! His music isn’t my cup of tea, but that’s okay. The movie is still worth seeing

I'm sad that you didn't enjoy it as much as I did. most biopics are with the same story but it's not what he says it's about how he say it.
I love the movie! I've watched the it twice already and it's fantastic!
the story is completely true, without sugar coating the main character. Better Man is an emotional rellercoaster!
the music was placed in an amazing scenes where you can understand why this song fits the scene (the music is great).
I would highly recommend anyone to give this movie a chance! it will surprise you!

I totally respect your opinion, and it's okay that we had different experiences. I think it comes down to the music for me. If I enjoyed the music, I probably would have a much more favorable opinion, but that's all it is....my opinion.

Coming from the UK, and knowing of Robbie Williams, the monkey thing is bang on. When I heard about this movie I was not surprised in the slightest.
Robbie has always been a self-depreciating joker. His fame hit stratospheric heights here in the nineties, to the point where you couldn’t get away from ‘that song’ (Angels), it was frikken EVERYWHERE. No wonder he feels like a performing monkey. From the outside looking in, the whole ‘Take That’ circus show was kind of sad. I almost feel sorry for him. He was clearly a square peg in a round hole. It was uncomfortable to watch in real time in the nineties, I don’t feel the need to watch an abridged version with actual drug taking and self destruction on film with a cgi ape. 😂
But good luck to him. I hope he’s found some peace.

He had a few hits here in the US so I’ve known about him since the late 90s but that’s about as much as any of us really know about him. His antics and personality aren’t super well known over here so some of it might get “lost in translation” for US viewers. I’d like to see it though!
