Stihl/Husqvarna, Husqvarna/Stihl, I've used both, liked the 576XP, preferred the MS200 over the T540 in a climbing saw both make good saws, both make not so good saws. At the pro grade there isn't much difference in the real world, how well you sharpen the chain makes the biggest difference.

I concur. The Stihl sharpening jig is awesome, and my smaller saws are Stihl, but, being left-handed, the Husqvarna felt really good. After both systems have been in use for a while, from my reading, and talking to users, the AutoTune seems to be working out better than the M-tronic, which is a factor worth considering.

@@arnoldromppai5395 I think all companies are pretty much making crap as cheaply as possible. Customers just accept it because i guess they really have no other choice when everyone is making crap.

Greetings from Australia. I brought a 562, 16 months ago for my 4WDriving adventures. Absolutely love it, got me out some crazy situations of fallen trees across the tracks. Husqvarna ROCKS!!

I have a 562 xp and have abused the hell out of it. It has never let me down. I'm especially impressed by the autotune carb. I've always had trouble with carbs needing constant adjustment, to run the way I like. This saw starts and runs exactly how it should under all conditions. I expect the 572 xp to be the same way. Look forward to a future long term review!

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

I personally prefer the Husqvarna because of how well they handle and feel while using. Whatever they do differently, and however it is they do it, seems to bump up the quality for their saw's above others. Another great video, thanks guys. Peace, Love and Light my friends!

I bought a swedish husq 562xp, it is only 5 cc more than my Husq Rancher 455, I believe it weighs same or a tad less than my 455, but it outputs 4.7 horsepower vs 3.5 horsepower on my 455 which is amazing power output difference! It also has a computer processor that regulates and optimizes air/gas mixture based on temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure! It is an amazing chainsaw. To everyone on the fence, I recommend buying two powerful chainsaws if you do a lot of cutting, because that way you can cut twice as much before having to sharpen or swapping chains!

I make 100% of my living from running a chain saw (and skidder) have been for almost 40 years, there are only 2 saws as far as i'm concerned Stihl and husqvarna,i personally prefer the husqvarna because of the handling,i find the stihl a bit cumbersome...I have used both in the past. I do think that the stihl will out last the husqvarna,it all comes down to personal preference.

Make sure you put it into high idle every time you start it even when its hot. Not choke, but just high idle. Made this mistake and for the life of me couldn't understand why it wouldn't restart like my old carb saws. Set it to high idle and it starts first pull every time.

@@reevesstevens5554 i agree, basically in all products, nothing is built to last anymore. There was only one disadvantage in older models, which i doubt many people encountered, in palm trees there is a substance that corrodes the aluminum.
Today i dared complain about a major safety hazard in an echo, which i was very happy with until today. The metal band which stops the saw in the event of kickback and the like was broken. The local rep said "how can you expect that a part will ĺast two years."

Have the xp562. Had it for 6 months now. Great saw. The handles are a bit offset which I am not sure if I like yet. The Johnsered has and the sthil have handles that are similar which are in a slightly different angle. I also have 261 Sthil. It handles good and works good but there are some stupid things like the oil and gas cap. It is a two stag thing which I find myself fighting with. Also it oil cap gathers debris which is impossible to clean around and when you open the cap dirt falls into the chain oiler reservoir. Other than that it's a great saw as well.

Balance and handling, is the reason I chose 562XP, over Stihl 362CM. I do wish the 562 had a bigger air filter. The 572XP just makes my peter stiff! Is that just a 20" bar? That would be a total beast!

same angle from 550-560 ^^ think they will go with the angleshape on all professional chainsaws.. and yes the professional saws 50cc+ feels heavy at first but you get used to it and the X-Cut chain very nice. and its prestretached at the factoryyou can use it for 4-5 refill before needing to reshapren but if hiting a rock/gravel you need to ofc... and autotune helps alot... refill and start no feddeling with a screwdriver

By shortening the distance between the handlebar and pistol grip Husky has balanced this saw for short bars. Sad day for us west coast fallers. One reason I preferred the handling of most previous Husky's over Stihls , the handlebar was forward enough to make the saw balance with a useful bar length. For a 70+ 72cc saw that would be a 30" or 32" bar.

Does the stihl filtration system sit with in the same league as husky’s in that 462?

Husqvarna 372xp or a 365xt or the Jonsered equals the 2166 of 2172 or a Stihl MS440 think the new model is MS441 or a Makita/Dolmar. I have a DCS6421 its a 64cc saw but its pretty damn strong they have the 7900 79cc saw too. I own a few of these the 440, 365, 2166, and 6421. All great saws probably don't need so many similar saws but I got such good deals on them all I bought them. Might pick a couple and sell what is left but I like them all.

I work in the southeastern US in the delta. I don't know if that matters, but we definitely get more longevity out of our Stihl's I prefer Husky's fluid caps, but it ends there. My biggest problem with the Husky's is they are so finicky. You don't just crank a Husky. You have to bulb, and prime and crank and crank and crank. I usually end up throwing them down and grabbing a Stihl. When the Husky's do run, they cut and sound great. Of all the saws I've used, the Stihl 462 is the unquestioned 🐐. Haven't gotten to use the 500i yet. Seems Husky's are more popular up north and northwest. Is there a reason for that?

Greeting. I am from Croatia and I also prefer husqvarna tools. I have a Jonsered CS2141 purchased in 2004 and 2 trimmers Jonsered BC 2125 from 2003 and these machines work every year with regular maintenance. Last year I bought Husqvarna 365 x torq and I'm really happy but I ask you for a professional opinion. I know the machine is not professional but I still pray for your opinion if you've had the chance to try it out. Thanks and regards from Croatia!

It would need to be an improvement on the 562 which Ive had two and both dogs. Mounts regular changing and new piston and rings every 20 hours.

    The 572 doesn't disappoint.
I got one instead of the 462 because Stihl will not sell heated handle saws in the US.

can review the Stihl MS170? Or MS180
in my opinion they are the best saws when it comes to Home Owners and Bang for the buck. They last like forever (my MS17 is from 1997 and runs great) and you can fell even big Trees with them.

I have an old Stihl 017 and its been a great saw. Only had it a couple years bought it at an estate auction. I think I paid $45 for it but I had to put new fuel lines and all in it but with that 14 inch bar its so light. I use it quite a bit when I don't need a bigger saw but I just bought a new Redmax that will probably be getting some use when I want a light saw. Cant remember the model but its the same as the Husqvarna 439 or a rear handle version of the 435t top handle saw. I have yet to use the thing though because it came with a broken oiler adjustment screw so waiting on a new oiler to come in that should have been under warranty on a brand new damn saw but the dealer gave me a hard time I just bought an oiler. I bought it on Ebay from a Redmax dealer and it would have cost as much to ship back as the part cost. I could have tried another dealer though just there isn't many around Stihl is everywhere though. I also have an Echo 330t I just bought that will probably get some use or just sell it don't really need a top handle saw but it is nice especially since I got it so cheap. My local small engine shop I go to guy dropped it off 2 years ago and never came back to pay so I paid his bill and left with the saw. The MS170 though is $159 on sale all the time. Just a homeowner saw but that is a lot more saw then the Ryobi and other junk you see at big box stores. I don't care for the homeowner Husqvarna saws either if buying a homeowner grade saw I would buy Stihl, Echo, or Makita/Dolmar. I know the Dolmar 510 thin the model is, is more a homeowner saw but it has an aluminum case pretty nice they have a pro version with a magnesium case as well. I have just one saw from them the Makita DCS6421 awesome saw. Little heavy for a 64cc saw but its the same saw as the 7900 which is a 79cc saw only difference is the top end and I guess they have a different air filter and cover I believe but I could put the 79cc top end on the saw and have the same size and weight saw but at 64cc its pretty damn strong as is with that 79cc top end it would really be impressive.

Ms170. Not bad. Use hp ultra and non etho fuel. Cant complain. Got a 16inch bar/chain from buddys saw that burned up. Goes good around the house.

Looks like fun. Makes me want to go cut down a tree! As a child my father used to cut down a tree or two each spring to control the growth of trees and let more sunshine into our yard. My father was a NYC policeman for 37 years and when he would decide it was tree cutting day my brother and I would try and hide! His idea of free labor was our idea of slavery! He love ordering us around and had a years worth of stress relief in one afternoon!

Nice review! I like Tim’s stopping to pose at 4:26, is that going in the next husqvarna calendar? ; ). Joking aside, what is the difference with this chain? I freeze framed on it a couple times but couldn’t see anything obvious.

    • @simeonandalex
      @simeonandalex  6 лет назад +1

It is Husqvarnas first own chain if I am not mistaken. They have used Oregon thus far. Besides that is seemed very well sharpened I don't know the differences. I guess we will know more once we have used the chain a lot and filed it.

Swedish Homestead second chain, the SP33g was the first. One of the nice features is the lubrication channels forcing extra oil into the bar groove. I like that. Some of the new Oregon chains has a similar feature now, such as the 95TXL, I've had a few loops of those, they seem to work and last really well.

looks like a winner. Reliability would make a great video in about a year of 8 hour days, 5 days a week review. deep down that's what people want and need in a saw. all I hear about is how good the old 365 husky's and 044 stihl mags were in the 90's I got an old 455 husky that stills runs great 6 years later of hard fire wood use. Honestly I don't think a new saw could cut 3 cords in 3 hours with 2ft to 3ft round butt cuts in 90 degrees heat and still be running.
