They would be like 7s faster than modern cars in qualifying. In the race its even crazier cause modern cars start to slow down straight away after the start because the battery is so bad, but those cars had 900+ HP at up to 19k RPMs available the full race so it was push push push from start to finish
The 1st qualifying session with one lap per driver was on Friday, in the order of the championship, Schumi was the first to drive and he was 3rd. The classification of that session determined the order in which they were driving for the Saturday qualifying session, which decided the grid. Since he was 3rd on Friday, he was the 18th one to drive. That would have meant great conditions on a dry track, but it started raining when he got out of the pits, so he couldn’t do better than 14th, while the others drove on a dry track.
because the F2002 was that dominant the previous year and the F2003GA wasn't 100% reliable by the time the season started they had engine problems testing it at Fiorano Ferrari's test track. Ferrari's initial plan was bring out the F2003GA at Imola but Badoer had crashed it and Barrichello and The Michael had engine problems testing at Mugello and Jean Todt didn't want to take any risks.
Michael .,.....the true 7 time world champion!
👍
There's something magical about his driving style. Looks so smooth yet so fast.
alonso 100x better
@@binocastro2512 Yeah, sure.
Those cars sounded glorious back then. Imagine what those cars could have done with the grip modern f1 cars have.
Flat out through the entire Suzuka S’s 😂

Schumi im V10 Ferrari mit Schulz/Surer als Kmmentatoren, das waren Zeiten, das war Formel 1.
Phillip Morris back in F1. I don’t smoke but they were huge in the growth of auto racing. Who knows maybe they will be back in Indycar.
That sound. Miss it!

Alonso 2003: Kan das passen?
Ich glaube nicht weil der Renault ist zu langsam auf die gerade
Alonso 2018: same shit, different day...
Damals als McLaren noch ein TopTeam war ^^
Ive seen him do way better in japan, last to first in half a lap the greatest lap ever seen in history
Which year ?? I want to watch it if true
CARL WongTW not entirely sure of the year but i think definately the 90’s shouldnt be too hard to find tho
@@leejamiemellor Pretty bold claim considering you can't even state the year.
Probably 1998. He started from back of the grid and was 13th at the start of lap 2, if memory serves.
Vettel, take some notes from this please
2:22. Am I seeing "rear" steer here? I believe I am.
That's just tire deflection from how soft the rubber is and how much side wall these tires have
@@nbain66 I'm sure that's it, it just looks like those upper arms are moving north and south. An optical illusion.

why is michael starting in the middle of the grid?
he'd qualified 14th. back then the qualifying rules were different: 1 lap per driver and schu has runned on wet conditions
The 1st qualifying session with one lap per driver was on Friday, in the order of the championship, Schumi was the first to drive and he was 3rd. During this year Ferrari delayed launching their new F2003 until a few races in, and still Schumacher was competitive in the F2002. But why ??
