    It's been ten years, and you know what, this is still the sound that first comes to my head when I try to remember what F1 cars sound like.

      well I guess you'll have to stick to watching old videos of f1 car's then as the electric motor takes over more from the combustion engine, they will only get quieter and quieter, move with the time, maybe even watch some Formula E give yourself some time to get used to it as that series is the test for full electric cars.......move with the times

    This was my first and last race I went to an f1 event. I was just thirteen years old but what I will never forget was this insane sound. My dad and i were sitting in the near of the hairpin bend. this is the place where the cars have to break from top speed to almost zero. You could NOT survive longer than 2-3 rounds without ear plugs. man this was an incredible experience I will not forget my entire lifetime. From that day on I had so much respect for every driver in the f1. I thought that they have to be crazy to drive these monsters. Too sad f1 downgraded the engines over all the years and now the sound really suck with the v6´s. Hopefully they come back to v10 engines! Greetz from Germany :)

      Similarly i found the sound of all those v10's downshifting into the first corner a totally overwhelming sensory experience.. as an adult! I've never experienced anything like it. It probably depends on the individual but for me it provoked a very instinctive response as my brain is trying to deal with such a ridiculous amount on mechanical noise & vibration , combined with excitement and atmosphere.

      Unfortunately f1 will most likely never return to v10 engines, at least not like the beastly ones they had in this golden era

    It's cool and interesting to see how much the car is dependent on that front wing. Low speed corners are fine because of the mechanical grip, but as soon as there is mid/high speed corners, the car is just so unbalanced without the front-end grip as well as the aerodynamics along the rest of the car being completely different without the directed airflow and there's a skill to just how quickly the driver's can adjust to the new "setup" (lol)

  • @ISirSmoke
    @ISirSmoke 12 лет назад +1

    yes they both locked up, but barrichello was so far back, there was no chance he would have made an overtake. also, he was taking a much tighter line into the corner. the mclaren infront of him made a late braking too, but with a much better line. he braked too late.

  • @mandyrobert01100
    @mandyrobert01100 11 лет назад +2

    the problem with V8's is too much torque, because every time they go into a low gear like Alonso the rear wheels start to spin causing over steer. The v12's however are slower getting off the line but are much harder to control at high speed because it leans to too much BHP. However, the V10's have a perfect balance between torque and BHP which means a much faster and smoother lap time E.G. all the tracks that were created before 2005 have been set lap records by all V10 cars.

      The V10s was all about effeciency as well, nothing came close compared to the power/fuel ratio back then. F1 engines since the 80s has always been about fuel effeciency.

    Totally dodged what i just said. I rank Button easily below Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel. Can you imagine if one of them had been in that car against Button! He wouldn't have won a single race, yet it was Rubens as his teammate and he had the same equipment but failed to win a race until Valencia and average Button wiped the floor with him. I would not class Rubens as one of the more skilful drivers, he was mediocre at best but just stuck around for long enough for people to think he's good.

    Im talking about him as a whole, he was provided with championship winning cars and never made anything out of it and was beaten profoundly by his teammates. Don't hate the driver, couldn't avoid an accident there in my opinion. Look at the circumstances... I think if that was Montoya I am understanding more why he couldn't hold a career in F1, whereas Barichello went on for like decades.
