Shane (1953) with George Stevens Jr. and Christopher Nolan | Academy Museum

On December 10, 2023, the Academy Museum hosted The George Stevens Lecture on Directing, presenting the 70th Anniversary of the 1953 classic _Shane_.
Before the screening, George Stevens Jr. and Christopher Nolan spoke about the film and the legacy of George Stevens. Nolan discussed how Stevens embraced the complexity of human life, the ethics of _Shane_, and the film’s influence on Nolan’s own work.
