I feel like this video was made just for me. I can relate so much to everything you have said. During my first trimester I was nauseated, I couldn’t eat, I was depressed, I had anxiety. This video truly made me feel like I wasn’t alone during this pandemic. Us preggo women have to stick together.

I feel this so deeply... Im 16 weeks now and since week 9 I have been going on a roller coaster. Feeling like crap, sleeping a lot, been so sick and nautious, depressed, emotional, hard to eat. I dont know what to eat. I used to love food and now I just feel such distain towards food but still wanting it. She explained it so well in the video. But idk what to eat and feel bad.

Thank you so much for this video! I relate so much to everything you say- I am a single mom away from home, living in a foreign country without my family and being completely on my own. It has been very challenging to deal with everything alone, specially emotions and hormones but thanks so much for sharing your experience, it makes me feel I’m not the only one struggling with my mental health at the moment! Pregnancy is a blessing and I’m so happy but dealing with this by myself is a whole different experience! Sending good vibes to all single moms that are feeling overwhelmed 💛

I'm sitting here nursing my baby boy while I watch your video this afternoon! He's just 2.5 months old now. It's been so fun reliving my pregnancy through your recent videos, Nikole. My first trimester was so similar to yours. That constant nausea was brutal. Always feeling hungover is exactly how I described it to people! I only threw-up once, but always felt like I could throughout the day. Thank you for being honest about all your highs and lows. I definitely felt them too. Pregnancy is hard enough already, let alone facing it through a worldwide pandemic! You are strong! I was in my third trimester/went through birth right in the thick of it, so I can relate to the anxiety you've felt. I keep telling myself this unique experience will give us great stories to tell our children one day. It's a crazy time, but special in a way too. Looking forward to following your journey! ♥️🥑

My hormones are all over the place and I kept thinking I was abnormal. everything happens for a reason and I need to keep remembering that I will have a baby at the end of this. Thank you so much, Nikole, for making this video!! Very much appreciated

I just had my baby girl June 14 during the pandemic and it was such a surreal experience. I also had several of the same symptoms during my first trimester. My insomnia came back in the third trimester but nothing compares to these first couple weeks with a newborn. Keep taking all the help you can get when the baby arrives!

I am reaching the end of my pregnancy journey - 38 weeks! And this video reminded me of those first trimester days. I too had terrible nausea and bloating, but also a cold and frequent vomiting that lasted well into 18 weeks. I couldn't eat much, and even water was hard to hold down. I frequently got dehydrated and had to get a couple IV fluids infusions to get me through. I was also depressed and couldn't really appreciate being pregnant even though I wanted to be. But the 2nd trimester was much better and was finally able to be excited about the pregnancy. Now that I am in the end of my third trimester, I see what a journey pregnancy really is and I look forward to seeing how things will be grow and change for you! Thanks for sharing your experience and encouraging so many women out there

I’m just so excited for you and this journey! I can relate to a lot of how you felt in your first trimester. & I also just had my baby in April right before the pandemic caused stores to close down, but it still affected the end of my pregnancy as only my bf could be in the hospital with me & my last few appointments no one was allowed to come in with me... but I’m excited for you & Matt and trust me you don’t even know the kind of love you will have for your baby once he/she is in your arms, it will all be worth it!

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. Gosh, I just found out I'm pregnant four days ago and even though me and my partner both want this, I am feeling exactly what you describe! The nausea, anxiety, down, panicky, restless, lonely (he's also off working and I'm home with my two dogs) - and I feel so guilty telling people about these feelings! Because yes, it is a miracle and an amazing thing... but I am also scared as you described! But you made me feel so normal and gave me an idea of what I can expect. Thank you!!!!!! This is better than any scientific video I've watched so far

Your pregnancy journey could not have come at a more appropriate time for me, because I have been growing with you since the start of your channel, we are around the same age (also fellow Libra, heyyy) and my partner and I are talking about starting our family soon too. I also live with an anxiety disorder, and I am right there with you on trying to manage anxiety and potential nausea during pregnancy, with natural alternatives to medication. So you are giving me a wealth of knowledge to consider before I begin my own pregnancy journey, and I cannot wait to see the next chapters of the Healthnut family as you venture into parenting and nurturing your little one! I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow with our first! Your symptoms, aversions, and other comments seemed to be so similar to my experiences! One difference was that I loved kimchi and pickles in the first trimester! I had bad nausea but never threw up. At one point I thought “I just wish I would puke and feel better!” But as soon as I felt like I was going to throw up I would say, “why did I ever say I wanted to puke!? I really don’t want to puke!” and then I wouldn’t puke. 😂 Your tips are also spot on! Congratulations and thanks for sharing. I appreciate it - feel much less alone when I can watch/hear others talk about it. My family is 1,000 miles or more away (both mine and my husband’s), so it’s been really difficult. I’ve been homesick, wanted to see my family and it was so hard. Thankfully we got the chance to meet family now, but we were nervous and extra cautious due to the pandemic.

This pandemic and quarantine has been so hard, so glad u we’re able to connect with ur mom so much for that support (my hubs also has to go to work everyday and it makes it so isolating for us who stay home -in my case with my 1YO as I’m on parental leave still). I’m in my 1st trimester with my second baby and with my first I had ZERO symptoms of morning sickness but this one like you said week 6 hit and it was all day nausea, it’s been awful and of course my husband has been away at military school for the last 2 months so I’ve felt so alone and kinda miserable with the nausea and my rambunctious toddler drains the little energy I have. I just pray it goes away in my second trimester.

Positive/self love affirmations help with stress and anxiety. Same with a gratitude journal. Getting 20 min. in the sun daily between 10am-2pm for natural vit D also helps greatly with depression. And ofcourse walking/exercising, eating healthy & staying hydrated. You look amazing. And def 2nd trimester will be better. Glad the essential oils are helping w/ insomnia. Love them.

The nausea phase was the worst 6 week experience I could have gone through in the first trimester but it went by quickly! I, unfortunately didn't have anyone to cook for me. I resulted to panera bread and Kosher deli's. The second trimester is absolutely beautiful!

I love using oils so much but there is so much controversy about using them pregnant. I obviously want to do what’s best and I’m feeling a little confused about this. 💕💕

I'm in the first trimester, we're surprised specially me though we just go with the flow if I were get pregnant or not. I will have my first check up by January next year. Everything is new to me because this is my first time and I still can't believe that I'm pregnant. But I'm doing my best to take care of everything. I'm doing research and watching videos and I'm thankful and happy that I saw your video, making me realize I'm not alone, that's why I subscribed coz I know I will learn something useful from this channel. And I will be watching more of your videos starting today. Please do a lot. 💖

I watched this forever ago when we were thinking about starting to try to conceive. I’m watching again now that I’m pregnant, and I feel so validated with all of my symptoms at 6w,4d. 😂 the allllll day nausea is just rough! It’s really such a disservice to call it “morning sickness”. It’s literally all - day - long.

All of this is so true. Especially the emotional reality of it. Feeling almost as if you’re depressed and feeling anxious. That, along with physically feeling like crap. I get it.
On a side note, I miss Toronto. I used to go there every summer with my dad. It’s worse that I’ve been crying so much lately and feeling sad all the time recently.

I’m very unexpectedly pregnant (and unfortunately I’m 19) and I’ve known for a very long time very strongly that I want to be a parent but the circumstances are just not great right now and so I’m mostly nervous about that. I told my mom and she’s been very understanding (thank god) so that’s been the biggest help. I’m 9 weeks right now and it feels like absolute hell. I was getting so sick that that was the reason I even suspected I might be pregnant in the first place (I had implantation bleeding that I thought was my period which is why it took me 8 weeks to realize I was even pregnant). I actually thought I was having a depressive episode because I was getting so sick in the mornings that I went off my anti depressants bc I thought they were making me sick, and I felt fine but after about a week my energy just got so low and I felt physically awful and I literally thought I was having withdrawal from my medication or I was in a depressive episode. Nope. Turns out I’m just pregnant😒

Yes! The tiredness, dizziness, cramps, sore muscles, moodiness and forgetfulness is crazy. If anyone has ever tried giving up carbs it's like that. It's like really bad flu pains without the other symptoms. I am drinking lots of water, yet I don't feel like doing anything or eating anything. Potassium, coconut water, iron and vitamin D have been helping a little bit. I can hardly stand up and sleep all the time and can only take panadol (I usually take advil/nuraphen). I had to check every vitamin and supplement. Wow so much for this tiny little thing, so much has changed already! :)

I needed this so much today. Ive been waking up crying every day feeling so guilty and so shameful that I am not enjoying this. I was trying so I am so happy that I am pregnant. But I am 6 weeks, and I feel so alien, not myself at all and having some serious body image issues. (which i always struggled with). My workout routines have been completely uprooted, and i feel horrible that in my mind thats even a thing! How selfish of me. I wanted this I love this little being in my belly, whats wrong with me.
My brain is in such a fog, and I have never felt so isolated, depressed and down. I truly felt like something was wrong with me. I came on here looking to hear from other women, to see if there were others that could relate to how i feel. I am too early on to be able to share with people around me to get feed back so this was my only option at the moment. I definitely feel less alone right now.

Just remind yourself that these feelings will pass and you will find comfort in your body again. Reading function, walking and meditation really helped me
