I'm 72 learned to crochet from my Grammaw when I was 10. I love watching you and your voice is soothing... Even at 72 you have taught me alot of new stitches..
Ha, ha, same here! Most of my life I've knitted, and it's just in the past couple of years I've learned so much from the crocheting you-tube instructors. Robin is excellent, isn't she? Love this V stitch, a novelty for me.
Thank you for this stitch, it is amazingly beautiful but so easy. And does not use a lot of yarn. Thank you for not using the music and not talking while you are stitching, it makes it so easy to be able to follow. Best vid of them all.
The V stitch is probably my favorite. I’m so glad you knotted those ends before weaving. Some people say knots are a no-no, but I always knot when I can to make things more secure.
Save time! If you're going to be doing a repeat pattern, run the yarn up the side and never cut the yarn. Don't pull it tight or it will pull weird on the edges. Cover them up with a border. I've done as many as 5 colors with baby yarn but 3-4 with thicker yarn is the max I recommend. I did a whole blanket of alternating colors and didn't cut once, saves time and yarn!
I never knot my ends. Absolutely no knots. I crochet my ends in so well sometimes I can’t undo them . But we all find the method we are comfortable with.
@@laurelgirard8475 -- I, too, love the no-knotting method (which Robin actually uses when changing colors) because it's just as secure as knots, but no bumps. I've never had one unravel-- it can't as long as the other yarn is in place. The important thing is, as Robin did, to weave the tails in changing direction and going in at least 3 directions. Not just running it along one way. When you do that, it can easily come out if it's repeatedly pulled in that direction.

I have looked up Iris stitches and different people are saying different things about the foundation on the Chain where you go back into chain 5 and then you skip over to chain for so it's very confusing for me and the way you're doing this and showing it in a slow manner helps a great deal because not only are you explaining what you're doing but I'm able to see it slowly period and that helps a lot because it's very frustrating when there are so many tutorials but everybody's saying something different and or not being slow enough or not showing what they mean about going back into which chain to do it. Thank you very much for your time and effort
