I appreciate it.
This is where i live. This place is everything for me. My country🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹❤❤❤
It's pretty dim. U guys should consider adding some lights
I love Ethiopia, i have to visit again this country.
I love Ethiopia 🇪🇹😇 their food is the best in the world 🔥 much love from the USA
Definitely not the best in the world. Lol
I'm glad they let you continue recording because I'm coming there soon and want to see the beautiful country by watching content first.
Me too, I'll be there in April
Great video Sly
Thanks for sharing your time with us 2 Canadians 🇨🇦 living in Mexico 🇲🇽✌️🐶🙏
I love the effort your making to communicate to say thank you properly in Amharic it’s pronounced “ Amesegenalew”
You say how are you by saying “ Endet nekh” and for the females “ Endet Nesh”
Hope I was able to help enjoy the motherland have fun 🤩
thank you so much for making this!! This is the place I had the least info on & now I want to go even more
Hummus is Middle Eastern stuff, most Ethiopians have probably never tried it 😁 There are some good Arab spots though for that type of food..
Bet
Where can I try Hummus man in Addis
I thought they would know what hummus is. Their food looks so closely related
Looks chill. We like it. Hope you get home for Christmas
I enjoyed it brother.
You’re such a positive guy I wish you had met somebody that can show you around. Addis has a crazy fun night kids life but it seems like you didn’t have the opportunity to meet the people in the crazy party scene
Omg you pump me up. I can't wait the maskel square nics. We don't have hummus. One thing I say the streets are clean.
Sly , one of the best video! Positive brother! Im Ethiopian but citizen in CALIFORNIA!
Good job
I watched this one to bro. Meskel Square is right where I lived for a long time.
awesome information!
💪
Nice.
I was there last yr in Sept same exact streets u were filming
Looks safer than many US cities
Is that always necessary?
It used to be but,not anymore
Hell nah, they be mugging foreigners or tourist like crazy especially in Addis
very true especially this days i can only imagine with little light waking in US
@@youme1414 yes?? I can't even walk down time Square without being stabbed to death in NYS. Shots fired in Rochester Tops for no reason.
If you are still there go to one of the breweries, they have some good beer other than St George
SLY'S LIFE . u are good brother
AMESEGINALEHU ;-)
asemeginalew 😊😊
Thank u ..I had missed my country so much..u got me caught up a bit 😊😊
S, you should make one on Apts in Ethiopia or find a connect for me haha. I'm almost ready to travel fam
Sly bro you're killing me with the way you pronounce "thank you" I appreciate the effort but each time you've said it it kinda got worse. it's hilarious to watch. love the vlog bro. safe travels.
Loving your content man. Just wanted to help you pronounce "thank you" in Amharic. It's amese-ginalew, not aseme-nigalo. Keep on explorin!
👍 😂
Nice video Bro. Not Asemeginalew - "Ameseginalehu" / means Thank you.
Bless🙏 No stress✌️ From Addis 🇪🇹.
Have to tell him like, "ah meh seh gi na le hu" one syllable at a time that he could get it 😅
country 🇪🇹
Be careful out there
can you use American credit cards with the RIDE app in Ethiopia?
❤️❤️❤️🇪🇹
You should probably film Piassa and Merkato areas in the late morning or afternoon hours..just don't go to Chechnya spot..😆
Have you been to areas like CMC, semet, bisrtae Gabriel, sunshine realestate., CC (country club), ayat you should definelty check those suburbs.
Would you ever consider doing South Sudan/Sudan or is it too dangerous, probably?
hummus is shiro like but not common in ethiopia
😮 in what world is hummus related to Shiro please don’t give the wrong info if you can’t explain well. Shiro is split pea powered made in to a stew
Some sections looked like the streets of Death Row then it looked safer
10 pm at night is not super early bro lol. The city seem alright, not very well lit up tho.
What was that asmkm
NO LIGHTS ON STREETS????
(Immas-ay-ganalo)
How was your experience at the airport? I've heard of people getting shook down while traveling through Ethiopia.
That's a WHOLE FACT BRO!!! They tried to get me for bringing in "electronics" (my damn clippers to cut my hair) - lucky for me though the young lady they sent me to to pay the fine looked at what I had and shook her head in disbelief and said you can go. Those baggage screeners there are straight hustling people.
@@Clos-23 Hustling? In Ethiopia and Eritrea? No!
Dude, it's Africa. I've been asked for "a gift" from a customs person checking my blood pressure medication when I arrived in Gambia even though I'd brought my doctor's prescription with me and showed it to him. Arriving at the international airport in Guinea Bissau the immigration officer inside his glass cubicle asked me to my face if I could give him $20. They ask 100 people a day and one or two might do it. I just smile knowingly, shake my head and say no.
@@Clos-23 how long ago was that
@@kerubel1436 I was in Ethiopia in September this year for 3 weeks during the Ethiopian New Year.
What's your home base country now?
That is Africa . The poor one have no light and the rich once have it
Ghost city 👻👻👻👻👻
Streets are dark
Loving your content past few days sly, but as an ethiopian I can't help but worry when I see you walking by yourself specially at night, the thiefs in ethiopia are no joke brother, if they know you are a foreigner and obvioulsy you are carrying a camera they could shoot their shot and give you a bad time. That is getting really common these days so pls be careful
He'll be good lol.
ere azebark zmbleh dedeb neger neh ende
👎👎👎👎
It's not as bad as you are making it to be. I was just in Ethiopia. You just have to do your homework and be smart enough to avoid certain areas Just like you should in most parts of the world. I walked to a lot of places at night for a month while I was there. I didn't run into any trouble.
Why don’t you record the chaotic driving system in addis and show to the world
These streets used to be packed until mid night, they are down now cause of economic problems related with the war and security issues.
Ere don’t false feed wrong info, there is a restriction since Pp took over
as an african i love ethiopia but no unity because ethiopia have different tribes and different features but adisababa is amaharaic living there you cannot see somalians, bengels, hammer tribes etc
adidas abab is actually oromo territory. oromo call the capital finfin
@@osazuwaogbeide1540 Finfinne and yea your right, it’s Oromo Territory. The biggest Ethnic Group in Ethiopia! But a minority of us live in Kenya.
