During the pilot we meet gangle who has a happy and sad mask. Her personality changes based on which one she’s wearing. What most fans don’t know is that she actually has a third mask.
In a july 9th tweet from glitch productions we see an image of gangle looking at the mirror. On the wall is a bunch of her happy masks which got split in two. On the right side we can see a third mask. This is a reference to the 2021 video from gooseworx titled “BLUE_CHANNEL: THALASIN”. It’s a creepypasta type video which shows various human emotions. One of which is called “Dorcelessness”. This is the exact same face that is on gangle’s third mask. When asked about this on tumblr, gooseworx said it’s a fun easter egg. Personally i would love if this mask was canon. Seeing gangle put on this creepy mask and changing personality would be a cool addition.

Not only is TADC an amazing show, the animators also put lots of Easter Eggs into it in the making which makes it even more special.

@morgannull4685 I knew she's a she, because when they leave the gloink cave jax says "ladies first" and gestures to gangle. Gangle continues but before they can get on the escalator jax pushes gangle down saying "no, why would i say that"
It implies that gangle is a girl, but jax refuses to show chivalry.
I initially thought Gangle was male too until the elevator scene where Jax said "Ladies first" then pushed her down.

Most likely, rather than actually representing dorselessness (whatever that is), I think this would be her "intense anger" mask.
It's already pretty similar to Omori's FURIOUS expression after all

I find it odd how Gangle is the only character that's assimilated fully to her new body. Kinger has begun going insane, and refers to himself as a royal, but Gangle seems like she's completely integrated into the Digital Circus. That, or her sad mask is actually how she is, and just uses the happy mask as a coping mechanism.
Yeah Cain says the only thing he can’t control is their minds, alluding that they can’t be affected, but then, why does gangle rely on her masks? Is it bc she just formed a mental dependence and not an actual one, or did the digital zone actually change it?
Kinger seems fine. He's not like insane crazy, he's weird crazy, if you get what I mean. Like he's mentally stable but really strange.
My thought is that she's purposefully leaning into the persona. In her mind, it might be helpful in divorcing who she's supposed to be as a human from who she's become in the circus.

I had no idea Gangle had a third mask plus it would be cool to get with the creepy mask in the final show. Maybe she can be more brave and possibly stand up to Jax because he's giving her a hard time.🎭
this could be a fact when Zooble exited Gloink Queen and Kinger asked if he experienced a game show, a reference to an earlier Goosworks show called Little Runmo where the little runmo was eaten by the king and experienced a game show in at the king's stomach

I love Gangle, she is so adorable, and I hope glitch makes makes an episode where Gangle gets tired of Jax constantly bullying her, and beats up Jax till he says he’ll make Gangle a new comedy mask.

I like to believe instead of outright changing personalities, gangle’s mask just gives her the confidence to not allow her emotions to get in her way, would especially makes sense with how the happy mask doesn’t get rid of her generally softer personality as far as we see

I’m predicting it, there is gonna be a way later episode where the mask doesn’t break and either Gangle will get a wholesome scene near the end of the episode, or there is going to be some kind of over the top celebration most likely started by Caine
It's a clear metaphor that Gangle's "real" face is the tragedy mask, and she hides behind a facade of the comedy mask. Quite literally, she masks tragedy with comedy.
Her real face IS the sad mask, so if it was broken I think she would probably be dead or caine could actually fix it

Funfact !: In the scenes where you see Gangle's back you can actually see a 3rd smaller mask! Maybe the masks get smaller each time she switches! ( Its not dorcelessness since its a white mask ) But maybe the mask is anger? Or an Unhinged insane version which only shows itself when and if she Abstracts? Or maybe it makes her imitate other people! Like The Tragedy mask breaks and she starts imitating pomni or something. Oh well! :) Just a thought
Maybe it isnt even canon and just put it there to make the animation easier when she switches masks, the tragedy (sad) mask is actually her face btw

Edit: Perhaps the Masks are Intentionally made weaker by caine as a funny ''Joke'' Even though it actually making her more sad. And also they do get smaller if you compare them
@@Null_Mist Lets say gangle is with the comedy mask, when the mask falls off, they can use a different separated model for the mask, as it is no longer connected to gangle, and then they make the mask currently on gangle's face (the comedy one, but not the separated model) small and then the small one (the tragedy mask) big

Okay headcannon:
Gangles masks can morph her mood only slightly.
When we first see her mask break we see that the tragedy
mask is her real face/head and the comedy mask is just that, a mask.
It can morph her mood only pyschologically but can’t actually do anything, it works as a sort of confidence boost for her.
I imagine she started making them, came with one / got a stock in her room, or Caine realized how much of a sensitive person she was and made her one.
She wears them during shows or to just not be as much of a crybaby around the others.
And for the angst lovers, she will often stand infront is a mirror for hours in her room usually holding her comedy mask with a blank face trying to not be as shy or as much of a crybaby, that often happens after a mask of hers breaks.
I wanna see her just pull out a marker and draw *ANJRY* eyebrows above her eyes and she just gets really pissed
Gangle is my absolute favorite and seeing that she frames all her broken comedy masks is a little bit more concerning than a little Easter egg. Just a thought tho.

Maybe this is a hint to where she is from? In Japenese culture iirc, there is a sort of.... Story? Legend? Saying? Something like that... That says that people have 3 "faces" or "masks", one they show everyone, people they dont know, one that they only show their friends abd family, and one that only the person really knows.

My own little theory on the third mask. Since shes always getting bullied and probably left alone from the others a bunch shes likley thought of abstracting. She eventually had the mask come in after the fear of abstracting and could use it as her last choice before losing it. So abstraction mask is my guess
