"This is only scary once" is why Aliens was a science-fiction/horror action film that didn't use the aliens themselves as the source of suspense very often. Then they forgot the lesson for the script that managed to finally be made into Alien 3.

@@brainflash1 Or even the aliens themselves. Their presence, yes - the mood, the atmosphere, the signals on the motion detectors building anticipation. But the Aliens themselves were a known quantity to whoever had seen the first movie. It's harder to be scared of the known in a movie.
It's why they mostly moved to 'capture' instead of kill (with a few graphic exceptions, like the dropship crew). Capturing was 'scarier' because everyone *knew* what being captured by one meant (and they reinforced the point with the one chest burster in the movie). Easy audience investment - especially when Newt was captured.
@@fadidabban About Alien 3? One alien, no surprises, lots of deaths but little investment. What little suspense there was came from Ripley finally losing her fight against the aliens and being implanted. In opening credits. While asleep. Woo.
Alien 3 isn't bad - it's a decent enough monster movie - but it didn't add anything of its own.
@@dembones5005 I still refuse to believe Ripley didn't learn anything from the first movie and checked for any sign of an Alien hiding in the ship before going to sleep.... that was shame on her.

The chase scene is priceless. His wife's voice in the back urging him while he and the xenomorph run in the treadmill took me back to the 00s. Had I watched it in the floor of my living room while having breakfast I might have cried

That's why Alien 2 worked. It didn't try to be scary again. It changed the genre to action. Only the first movie could be scary.
True. I also want to say that alien3 gives me the feeling of being in an older setting rather than a newer setting. It’s probably because it was in a wasteland, but I don’t know. I honestly get the same feeling when I look at the cruel jaws movie poster. Unfortunately that movie isn’t related to the jaws franchise by Steven Spielberg despite being about a shark and sharing the same name pattern. I think I’m just writing too much now.

Looking at this, I think that a reboot where the Jetsons have bizarre adventures over the universe Rick and Morty style would be great, also with episodes where characters like Jane could have more focus and not George stealing 70% of the spotlight. By the way, I love how this can be read as a parody of the episode where Elroy meets Orbitty

Was there a laugh track on The Jetsons? I remember there being one on The Flintstones, but I don't remember for this show.
In the original show from the 1960's they did. For the syndicated version from the 1980's they did not.
