I love the vibrant colors and layers in the Coconut Sunrise. The gradient effect created by pouring the grenadine adds a visually appealing touch and makes the cocktail even more inviting.
I would try just one ounce of cream of coconut because not only is that sweet but so is the grenadine plus the coconut rum and of course top it of like you did with the 151.
I love how you created a layering effect! I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Happy I got to binge watch your content today, hope you don’t mind I only get a chance to visit once a week, but I really do enjoy it, as does Cam!
What a fabulous cocktail during a cold time of the year! This one makes me think of a warm tropical day! I love that! I can't wait to give this delicious cocktail a try! Thanks David! 🙂
Nice recipe. Made this, it was great but found it too sweet so toned down cream of coconut and grenadine and used the full quantity of orange juice and that worked really well for me.
Good question. They are two separate things. Coconut syrup is made with Cocnut flakes. sugar and water, where Creme of Coconut is made from Coconut milk and sugar and salt. Here is my recipe for home made Cream of Coconut: Cream of Coconut 400 ml Coconut Milk 375 g Sugar Pinch of Salt Method 1. Add all ingredients to the sauce pan. 2. Place on low heat on the stove top. 3. Stir until the sugar is dissolved (colour changes from white to partially transparent).
when it comes to strawed cocktails, which are many, and heavy syrups in the bottom of the glass, doesnt that mean to need to mix with straw rather than go straight to drink, because all you get are the separate ingredients from the bottom up and have shots of the syrup the milk the juice etc?
The grenadine layer always looks great in whatever drink you do, but who wants to drink pure grenadine at some point? I might mix the grenadine with the orange juice separatly and get a sweet and darker orange layer... maybe.
From past experience I would mix white rum to the cream of coconut and maybe cut out a little of the cream of coconut might be too sweet... Thanks for my next drink...
@@boozeontherocks I will let you know. Go on holiday soon and always in to try new cocktails. Barstaff is always scared when I show up with my notes😂 just need to improvise sometimes because not all ingredients are available. My go to cocktail is a mojito with ron miel or a minty mojito (a mojito with ron miel and mint liquer and fanta lemon). Or a Bounty island: equel parts of, Frangelico, malibu, Batida de coco and milk.
You are correct. Good Catch, I have updated the description. I do prefer this one over store bought. Its easy and tastes better. There are other ways to make it however, they just require more ingredients.
Here you go :) CREAM OF COCONUT 400 ml Coconut Milk 375 g Sugar Pinch of Salt Method 1. Add all ingredients to the sauce pan. 2. Place on low heat on the stove top. 3. Stir until the sugar is dissolved (colour changes from white to partially transparent).
@@abdulgafarahmed5369 It wont work the same way because you will be missing the sugar content and the flavor will be off. You can always make you worn Cream of coconut. Here is a link to my recipe boozeontherocks.com/other-recipes/cream-of-coconut/
Love coconut drinks but find malibu to be too sweet. Ive swapped to the stronger but less sweet Blue Chair coconut rum in my drinks. Usually a solid swap!
I love the slow motion on the pouring
Thank you very much.

This one layers really niceley.

That sounds like a good adjustment.
Definitely going to try this one. Will use less Grenadine
Let me know how it turns out for you.
Looks great but you weren't kidding, that sounds very sweet!
It is definitely a little sweet.
I love how you created a layering effect! I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Happy I got to binge watch your content today, hope you don’t mind I only get a chance to visit once a week, but I really do enjoy it, as does Cam!
Thank you Theresa, I'm glad both of you like it.

Thank you Christine, You might want to cut back a bit on the granadine though because it gets very sweet at the end.
@@boozeontherocks Thanks for letting me know, Dave!! Have a terrific day!! 🙂
looks so colourful
It definitely does.
Great vid as usual..bit may i ask why u use that home made grenadine when u can just buy from shops?
When possible I like to use home made grenadine. I find you get a better flavor for it and you can adjust it to suit your personal preferences.
Looks fantastic and it does taste fantastic. Happy hump day!
It definitely is fantastic!!
The name alone makes my mouth water 🤤 yummy 😋.
It is so good.
I like the addition of the 151 👌👌
Thank you Johann.
I use pomegranate rather than grenadine for a drier drink.❤❤
That is a great idea.
Nice recipe. Made this, it was great but found it too sweet so toned down cream of coconut and grenadine and used the full quantity of orange juice and that worked really well for me.
That sounds really good. I like your variation.
Greetings from Poland. For the weekend, I'll definitely do it to my wife😉
Greetings Sebastian. Let me know what she thinks.
This is so pretty, and sounds delicious, I’m a sucker for anything coconut 🥥
Oh Really?? Hmm.... Now I need to make a few more Coconut Items.
Awesome 👍
Thank you!
Hum Malibu rhum! I'm gonna try it this summer❤
I hope you like it.
Amazing! For me it's like a better version of a good ol Bahama Mama
Thank you very much,
Love this going to give it a try
Hope you enjoy
Looks fantastic and I was guessing that would be a bit sweet. I like the idea of a little 151. :) Cheers my friend and happy holidays!!
Thanks PJ, You have a great Holiday too.
Mmm yum yum 😋🍹 A big thumbs up 👍🐾
Thank you 😋
Make sure you keep this on the menu when we all come to visit! Love beach drinks!
For you Ann, definitely.
Is 🥥 🌴 cocomut cream same as coconut syrup can I use that very new to this cocktail stuff I just started making some at home 🏡

I would recommend that it be mixed, otherwise your will get a lot of sweetness first.
Cool 😊
Thank you :)
I'm going to try this tonight but with quarter ounce of grenadine and a full ounce of extra rum.
That is a good plan. Let me know how it turns out for you.
Looks great, but need a cherry too! 🍒

Victor, That is a great idea. Thank you for sharing that.
Again an awesome vid..i dont have that 151 rum...wats a good sub?
Cheers
You can use what ever 151 you can get. But if you cannot get 151 then use a rum that you like.
Could you make a Apple martini
Let's see what I can do.
Excellent 😎
Thank you! Cheers!
Can you replace the cream of coconut for batida de coco?
That would be an excellent test. I have not had batida de coco. If you try it let me know how it works for you.

On your grenadine directions it says .5oz sugar, did you mean to put orange liqueur? Also is this your favorite grenadine? Thanks!

How do you make the creamy coconut bro?..
Here you go :)
CREAM OF COCONUT
400 ml Coconut Milk
375 g Sugar
Pinch of Salt
Method
1. Add all ingredients to the sauce pan.
2. Place on low heat on the stove top.
3. Stir until the sugar is dissolved (colour changes from white to partially transparent).
I'd definitely add that 151! Sounds like it's got enough sweetness to melt my teeth otherwise!!!
So true, It is very sweet.
What can replace the coconut syrup
You could use a syrup of your choice. like a demurara syrup would go well but use a smaller amount.
@@boozeontherocks can I use a sugar and a little cream to get the white color and taste in case there is no coconut syrup or demurara syrup?

Hi Robb, that sounds like a good choice.
Haha u just had to add some more booze ...haha.. 😜 🤣 I get though
That I did.
# booze on the rocks
Thank you,
i would personally mix 40 ml of white rum with 25 ml off malibu
That is a good mix for sure.
This drink is sucks
Full of sugar.
This drink is very sweet.
It’s a sugar bomb. Gross.
This is very sweet yes, but it can be modified to be less sweet.
Fucking hell you drag out everything
