HAKUNA MATATA
1 oz/30 ml Coconut Rum
1 oz/30 ml Spiced Rum
1 oz/30 ml Creme de Banane
4 oz/120 ml Pineapple Juice
.75 oz/22.5 ml Grenadine
Method
1. Add all of the ingredients except the grenadine to the shaker tin.
2. Shake with ice foe 8-10 seconds.
3. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
4. Pour in the shaken mixture.
5. Garnish withan orange slice.

Fun fact about bananas: The "artificial" banana flavor is actually what bananas used to taste like back before (at least in the US) they started genetically modifying them (I.E. making them seedless, changing the flavors, etc.) for mass consumption.
I did not know that. I do know that they are the same strain.

I never saw the Lion King... As a stupid child, I said I'm too old for cartoons and that was the first Disney movie I didn't see... I was very upset I was not allowed to see Jurassic Park in theaters, so all cartoons were over for me... This cocktail seems amazing though! Also, my wife married me so I can get things off of the top shelf... I married her to open jars and containers that are stuck on...
Those things happen. Although I suggest you see Jurasic Park :)

Thank you for this! My mom and son watched your video with me this morning and demanded I make it. I modified it a little. I used Wray & Nephew with 2 dashes of ango instead of the spiced rum. I also swapped one of the ounces of pineapple juice with lime. Everyone loved it!

Happy Friday David! I really like the flavor profile of Shipwreck. I only have acaccess to dekuyper creme de Banana. What I did to cut the "nuclear banana" flavor is infuse the liqueur with banana chips for a day. That made it a lot more usable. Cheers!

A standard Rocks glass is 10 oz/300ml a double rocks glass is 12 oz/360 ml. Its what they call a slightly larger rocks glass.

Hakuna Matata...back b4 Disney went down the woke toilet bowl and destroyed everything good and wholesome.
It was a good movie for sure.
malibu, roses grenadine, questionable banana liquor, and fake pineapple juice - the idea is there, but this needs some work.
It could use somer efinement for sure.
