What an amazing original Buick you have and wishing that we keep history completely hoping your family will look after it with loving care. If not send it to somebody that will look after it with loving care because the young people of today quite a few of them couldn’t care less And it’s disappointing. Regards, I would love Buick myself from down under.

This is a 1929 Model 26-S 4-Passenger Special/Sport Coupe with a 239 Inline-Six producing 74 Horsepower. It has a 116 inch wheelbase making it the junior series to the larger 121 and 129 inch wheelbase Buicks of that year. Production of this model was 10,308. The 1929 Buick styling at the time was mocked by some for its "pregnant look" because there was a slight bulge to the doors and rear quarters which was contrary to the flat sides found on other cars. Styling on the 1930 Buick was changed to reflect a more mainstream look. Even though this example is a junior Buick, it was a rather jaunty car for a young man of that era...a 1929 Chevrolet had 46 Horsepower and a 1929 Ford had 40 Horsepower.

At the 1:50 mark, "It's got both wheels and an overhead V6" - nice that he knows so much about the car... geez....

So here is the choices. 1) Know about a car, but don't own it. 2) Own the car, but don't know about it. 3) Know about the car, and own it. I'll take #'s 2 & # 3

    An inline 6, not a V6. The Buick V6 came out in 62. This is a 1929.
