I have this motherboard and can only say that it is great...Worked first time on a 8600K and 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000Mhz Ram and with overclocking, I have it running stable at 4.9GHz, running cool at 30's idle and max 65 Degrees C under P95 v26.6, RealBench and Intel XTU...Very cost effective, simple and straightforward motherboard..VRM's are absolutly not an issue and I have a fan not to far from the VRM's keeping them under 60 degrees max whilst gaming and other load programmes..not a problem at all. Without the fan, the VRM's were hitting 65 to 70 degrees under load...still would not have been a problem. The VRM's would only be a problem overclocking to 5GHz and over and even then some cooling from a fan would more than keep them under check... But then again, you do not buy this motherboard for over the top overclocking, in that caes, get the Gaming 5 or Gaming 7..both good choices as well..My budget stretched to the Ultra Gaming and it has been perfect so far...if anything changes, I will update.

It's not bad, but for that price there could have been more USB 3.1 gen 1 gateways in the back or DisplayPort. My front motherboard had six USB 3.1 gen 1 and Displayport back (Asrock Z170 extreme 4). It was a little cheaper than that. The front could also take pictures of the BIOS by recording them with an external FAT device. For me, these lights are all stupid. Is this a motherboard or disco?

MaZEEZaM Have they? I bought the motherboard on black Friday for 139.99 and was disappointed when I heard about the VRM issues. I'm waiting for the 8600k to be in stock again, so I have no way of testing the board.

Ronald McBigD Yes, I cant think of any specific reviews to point you to but several have said it’s been fixed. Perhaps search for newer z370 mb reviews. I will be buying the version 5 board.

Ronald McBigD Unfortunately it seems the issue is back, I think it’s z370 boards generally as I’m pretty sure I originally heard about this from an ASUS board. Will do more searching but I guess you may be best not to overclock the cpu till they update the bios though people are blaming the cheap arse aluminium heatsinc instead of usual copper which in that case I guess can’t be fixed. linustechtips.com/main/topic/854165-gigabyte-z370-ultra-gaming-vrm-issues-are-back/

Ronald McBigD Hmm OC recommends getting the version 7 board but it doesn’t have wifi 😰
