  • Soldering 101 is in response to the many requests I've gotten to do a soldering video. I decided to do a live episode instead so that participants could ask questions as we go.     A note on solder selection - 63/37 solder is a great choice if you're willing to pay a little extra. It has a slightly lower melting point and the joints are less likely to be as brittle as those done with 60/40.

    No offense, but your solder joints are all cold joints. You need to count to 3 to 5 seconds on each joint.
