Love your plushies. A bit of advise, practice setting up your booth at home. Seems easy but can be a bear the day of the 1st event. Hoping for a great sale day for you!!🎉
I used to do markets myself didn't make money. Now I do markets for a pet rescue. I can tell you animal items sell well. I make catnip mice they sell like hotcakes.
Hey girl hey!!! All ur little animals were soooo cute! I think u did a good job with that being ur first market!! This was an interesting video...and I really liked the look behind the scenes of how u got ready and everything....thank u so much for sharing have an amazing week❤❤
To help the chickens sell, you could add a little tag that says "I'm an emotional support chicken." If you look online, I think there's even like a little saying that goes with it that is cute.
Hi! I'm new on your channel 🥰 If a pattern starts with chains instead of the magic ring, don't worry, just do it in a magic ring! It won't affect to the rest of the patteen, they're just different ways to do it. So, for example, if it says "ch2 and then 6sc on the 2nd chain from the hook", just do a magic ring of 6sc.
Well done on your first market! The first one is always the hardest but also the BIGGEST learning opportunity! Can't wait to see what you get up to in the future :) xx
Thank you for the look into your first market! I’ve been considering this myself and this was really helpful! You mentioned your hesitation about new patterns because of the possibility they start with a chain, I hate them too! I will say tho as long as the pattern is worked in the round you can still start with an MR, regardless of how the pattern is written. Just start the pattern with whatever stitch# the pattern says to work into the chain. I’ve done this multiple times and everything works up the same. They’re just using the chains to form a ring instead of a MR. Hope this helps!!! Happy crocheting 🧶
Brand new to your channel and I am so excited that I found you!! I have a crochet business and videos like this help motivate me! I watch them wile I crochet!! Can’t wait for more!!
@@LindseysLovies it’s so funny how watching someone else crochet just does that for ya! I do mostly plushies (all kinds usually in Blanket Yarn, Sweet Snuggles and Sweet Snuggles Lite) and I am working on branching out into the Snuggler Loveys soon!
Girl we’ve got the same vibe going on!! I love to make anything for babies and toddlers like I have things for older people but my target is babies and toddlers
The squids and Otto’s with the curly tentacles make my hands hurt also so i don’t really like making them. If i do i make the arms separate in a ring ⚙️ like off a sprocket then attach it
Omg glad to know I am not alone! I think I need to make a looser starting chain. Interesting- I haven’t seen anything like that! I’ll have to try. Thanks for watching! ♥️
lol at the "if it can be done in a MR, then why is it a CH" - I feel that. Some people really struggle with the MR so they opt for "Ch 2, then 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook" - you can just do a MR instead. All roads lead to rome and all - if the chain is longer than 2 to start, usually that is because the shape is more oval than a sphere. :)
Yes of course! I do like chenille, but it sheds so much. I end up having yarn all over my lap and floor! To remedy this- I have used a lighter to slightly burn the end of the yarn and that works to help stop the shedding but it is tedious to do this with the many small parts on the lovies/ every time you tie off. It also doesn’t go through the needle easily after being burned. I do like chenille for blankets though because I tie off less! I hope that helps! Aw yay, they are so fun to do! 💓🐰🦊
Of course! I’m surprised I’m the first person to mention it! They basically talk about handwashing unless super necessary to machine wash- if so do a gentle cycle in a garment bag. And lay flat to dry. Hope that helps!
A bit of Advise from another vendor, I would highly suggest checking out Camryn's Cute Creations she is super nice and explains what you should do for a market. I also highly suggest making Leggy Frogs! They do start with a chain, however it is still worked in the round!
Yes of course! It depends on the lovey- but in general the plastic eyes are considered a choking hazard for children under 3. So since I don’t know who will be purchasing at my market, I want them to be usable for any potential customer. I was going to embroider some eyes for these guys- but I didn’t have time. On my Etsy I offer plastic, embroidered or no eyes and the customer can pick their option! i do usually sew noses on. Thanks for watching! 💓💓
I have heard this but not sure how… I guess you just look at the number of chains they do and do that same number in a MR? I thought there was a formula for it or something lol 😂
@LindseysLovies oh the number of chains doesn't really matter, I've seen people start anywhere between 2 and 6, it's just personal preference. So if the pattern starts with chain 4 then connect the circle, the next row is where you would start if you made a magic ring instead. But for granny squares or things like that, I would suggest using the chains anyway because you want the circle bigger, or your square gets floppy/wavy looking

All cute stuff, glad that you did well your first time!
Thanks Josh! 😊
@@LindseysLovies You're so welcome! Be blessed, you and yours!
When I chain I go up a hook size. Then I have room to crochet into that stitch (using regular hook)
Thank you!!! I will have to try! 💓🥰

Good to know!! Yes I made 2 for this market and they both sold! I loved the pattern it was so easy! 💓💓🐝
Which tutorial do you use?
It’s the chubby bee by The Cosy Stitch!
New subscriber, beautiful work!!
What patterns are the bee and frog!? 😊
Hello!! Happy you are here 🥰 Thank you! The bee is the chubby bee by the cosy stitch on Etsy and the frog is crochetcrochey on Etsy!

Your plushies are too cute! But I didn’t see where you purchased the mini frog from. Could you share where you got it from?
Thank you! 💓 Yes sorry, someone else asked that and I realized I must’ve missed that one in my description! It’s crochetcrochey on Etsy :)
You can always do the classics, just like the dinosaur for "boys" you can to mermaids, unicorns and fairies....
I haven’t done any of those yet but I definitely want to in the future! 🦄🧚💓
try not to show address labels/barcodes on stuff you're shipping out! :)
Can I ask why you don’t like chenille yarn and prefer bernat? I’m just starting with these cuties.
Where did you get your tag ties that you attach your business card to?
They are from Amazon :) a.co/d/71swQnG
You are the first person that I’ve watched that mentioned care instructions. If you don’t mind me asking what is in your care instructions?
Of course! I’m surprised I’m the first person to mention it! They basically talk about handwashing unless super necessary to machine wash- if so do a gentle cycle in a garment bag. And lay flat to dry. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much 😊

I have watched her videos and I love her!! I need to catch her up on some of her market content though! Thanks for the tips!! ♥️♥️
What are you pricing the lovely’s at
I priced them at $40 at this market! I will probably go up a bit in the future.
Can I ask why you don't put eyes/nose faces on the lovies???
Yes of course! It depends on the lovey- but in general the plastic eyes are considered a choking hazard for children under 3. So since I don’t know who will be purchasing at my market, I want them to be usable for any potential customer. I was going to embroider some eyes for these guys- but I didn’t have time. What frog pattern did you use?
Hi there! I must’ve missed it in my description box! It’s crochetcrochey on Etsy :)
you and bf 17:47 Sweet ❤
He’s the best 💓💓💓
Whats the pattern for the chubby bunnys?
It’s Beattie Bunny by Oak and Marlow! In case you are interested in any other patterns they are also in the description! 🥰
❤❤🎉🎉🎉😮😮😊😊
You know, if the pattern says start with chains, but you can do it in magic ring... you can still do it with a magic ring 🤨
