Northern Az. And southern Utah are a very scenic areas of our great country. Fresh air and open spaces of FREEDOM. 👌🏻
Awesome place and views! Have fun and enjoy there. Stay safe and God bless!
Thanks, you too!
Beautiful Happy Trails! I think it's one the prettiest States. I used to live in Bountiful, Utah. Thanks!
It really is!

All I can say is “THANK YOU , RUSS…you keep on adding to my bucket list👍👍👍👍”
So pretty!!!!! Such great mountains and cliffs….
America has a magnificent heritage.
I drove from SLC down 191 to Green River then over to Moab. Thanks Russ.
Once again, a quality 'on the road' trip by the master of road trip videos. Well done Russ, Keep em coming.
Yes, I'd say that's 'beetle kill' with those pine trees.
Utah is one of my favorite states for sure. Beauty is everywhere. Love the video Russ.
Indian canyon trail 🦋☘️wow beautiful ♥️ highway 😃 enjoying fr jamaica 😎🌅🏖️
green grass and water is every ranchers prayer.. thanks for the ride along!!!
Thanks once again Russ for taking us along. I live in Louisiana at 5 ft. Above sea level. So nice to see these wonderful mountain states.

Thanks Russ.
spectacular country, Utah.
Great! My kind of hwy, no traffic. Be Safe!
I’ve heard you mention Arizona a lot. I live in Camp Verde, if you ever do a meet up I’ll be sure to attend.
What a beautiful trip this year Russ. Some of those mountain passes. What beautiful places you got to go. Thank you so much for sharing. We wish All of you Peace....Carolyn
Thank you for taking us with you!
Thanks AGAIN Russ! Another one to see next time we’re in Utah.
Cool. Can't wait for you to get back and start doing some highlights series videos. Lots of questions, who has the best highways, everything from gas prices to cell phone service I will be curious about! Followed you all the way Russ........ You saved me a ton of diesel 😃
After Flaming Gorge were the aspens as glorious as they were two years ago in early October when we went through there. Took 191 out Rock Springs to Moab. Beautiful!
Thanks Russ!
The East has the green but the West has the mountains I miss so much. Great tour. Happy trails to you.
Love these awesome views thanks for taking that route👍👍😀
Amazing Utah-keeps on giving
Absolutely beautiful views! I’m looking forward to next seasons return to this beautiful area. ♥️
I liked the aerial views, especially the 2nd time showing just how beautiful the scenery was on a picture perfect clear day. Too many picture perfect moments I lost count. Those mountains seem to keep going looking out ahead. I like these back roads better than interstate also. No traffic. Love how you start early in the morning. I sure enjoy your videos. The oil fields were interesting. They seem so small compared to the ones out at Sea. Enjoy the rest of your day Russ.
Thank you very much!
Yea!!This is great!!Stay safe......
Beautiful!!!
Wonderful Video, the Drohne Videos are the best, thanks and be safe
I surely miss the desert. My stepdad was a trucker amongst other things.
Thanks for the video Russ!!
This is such a beautiful drive you have taken on this time. Love the forest beside the roads. Thanks again!
Wow! THANK YOU very much!
Hello Russ, WOW!! Hwy 191 is so SPECTACULAR! I'm just going to ride along with you😊😊😊!
Good evening Russ from a fan of your from Arizona
It's better than looking at CORN FIELDS all day.
Thanks, Russ!
The great drive just keep coming, just beautiful. Thanks Russ.
When I was a kid we used to go to Salt Lake City through Nevada on Hwy 80. There was nothing to see but salt flats. It wasn't until later than I learned that every other square yard of Utah was BEAUTIFUL!
Helper has a really good museum!
Very nice route you found. Great drone flights. Sometimes fires are good. Keep the videos coming. Thanks Russ!
Love those mountains.
I'd take a two-lane road over interstate any day!🚙
Hey Russ!!! "GREAT DAY" for a "DRIVE"!!! Be Safe!!!
Always
Another fantastic ride along video. That deserves a cup of coffee as my bucket list continues to grow
Couldn't place the sound of your voice but it finally hit me. Bruce Dern!!! You sound like him!!! 😎. Love your channel!!!
Nice Country.
They need to find a way to kill those dam beetles. Great video, Russ
Great video about a wonderful area ! I'll be there in 2 weeks thanks to you !
There used to be a mining town called Castle Gate at the Hwy 191/6 junction where you stopped. There, Butch Cassidy robbed the company payroll and in 1924 occured one of the worse mine catastrophes in the US. My family lived there from the founding of the town until around 1975 when the town what relocated to Helper. I don't think you can even tell there was a Mine, Town, Cemetery and a good sized power plant until around 2015 now. I've enjoyed your channel for at least a year and thought it was neat to see you enjoying that drive in the morning as much as I do. Cool to "Check it out!" with you.
Hope you can go thru Moab, down thru bluff, thru monument valley, etc. Heck, any small road thru that state is spectacular!
Great day for a ride be safe
🙋♀️Hello Russ! 👍
Everyone forgets Capitol Reef :) kinda glad, it's my favorite of The 5. Love your videos! Thanks👍🏻
My wife and I drove down that highway 191 in June of this year.
Beautiful drive!
Russ, your videos and your narration is very inspiring and you do show exactly what I need on the information side of things. I am planning to go to Utah, Nevada, Idaho, and possibly the north of part of New Mexico. Driving from the Portland Oregon area. Your visuals in these drives help a lot to prepare one's mind of what to expect. I have done several drives in the states I mentioned and there is always more to explore. Thank you, Cheers.
Looking forward to coming south hopefully after my operation so hope to see you down there Russ will be down there around in November and December
Ive been thru there many times...it is beautiful thru there...
Another gem. Is The Vermillion Cliffs...along 87A in northern Arizona....or you can go thru Page, Az and tpur the dam.
Happy Trails - United States America - Russ - RVerTV Fans. We Love RVerTV ; Grand Journey Thru U.S.A. ; Grand Videos ; Grand Music. Thank you Russ.
Awesome! Thank you!
The power plant you were talking about was at your last stop before hiway 6. It was torn down around 2015. It sat across the road from where you parked the van.
Russ, great video! Glad you stopped in Vernal, I've stopped there several times always glad I did. Went over the dam on route to Yellowstone.
Thanks for the ride. Stay safe.
good day Russ
Capital Reef is the fifth one. Utah 12 is very beautiful too.
Beautiful scenery, funny another channel I follow , a trucker, (Riding Shotgun’ ) just filmed 191 going north bound last week. Hope to get over that way next spring or summer .
I also follow ( Riding Shotgun) he's pretty awesome
good job
I went camping there a few times. I will never spend the night in that canyon again. I don’t know what I saw, but we ended up grabbing our clothes and getting out as soon as possible. Stayed the night at a hotel in Duchesne and came back in the morning to pack up the tent and everything else. Scariest night of my life.
I came across your post a bit late and found your remarks quite interesting. I drove my Polaris General from Indian Canyon to Strawberry Peak just last weekend to see the beauty of that area up close. I can tell you I would never be in that area at night. I owned a cabin not far from Indian Canyon for many years. I can tell you I had 2 nights in about 4 years that scared the hell out of me. One night at about 2:00 am the night sky lit up around my cabin like daylight. The light was accompanied by a very loud sort of hum. This went on for about 15 minutes and then went away quickly. The second occasion at about midnight there were lights dancing across the ridge near my cabin for about 2 hours. The lights would move at a high rate of speed. After the first encounter the second one wasn’t as scary because by then I knew there were strange things going on in that area. I found out that the area from Duchesne to Vernal in the basin is well known for strange events and sightings. It is interesting to read a story about someone else having an encounter. If you get this message I would love to find out what you saw or heard.
👍👍 Thanks Russ.
Any time!
go Russ go ,you trying to get down south before SNOW ? hares hopene the Rockies get lots of snow to end drought
Just discovered your channel - so much to learn about the USA. Your videos are awesome and what would make them more epic is if you shot them in 4K
thank you
Want to thank you for your excellent travel videos . We have a Roadtrek but my wife is not doing too good , so no travel in several years . I have not noticed any videos on the NE corner of Oregon . Some beautiful roads , I especially like the area near Enterprise and Joseph . Lots to see and do . Highway 3 heading north into Washington . Just a suggestion . Oops , forgot to recommend The Log House Campground at Enterprise . Thanks again !
I was planning on heading down that way today. A place we call “The Little Grand Canyon”, but, weather reports are calling for flash flooding today. So, not today. Be careful!!! Enjoy castle country!
Hi Russ. Great video as always! Have a suggestion, if it's possible - at the beginning of your videos, could you place a map insert of the road you're traveling on? That way we have a perspective of the area you're traveling in. I'm trying to keep a log of the roads you travel so I can re-trace some of them next Spring. Keep up the great work!
John he does that. This video has it!
Pay attention
At the end, Russ, when you got to U.S. Route 6 (think I told you before that that road goes through my hometown in New York) you were in coal country. Those railroad tracks were the old D&RGW/Utah railroads joint line headed up to Soldier Summit (Utah's highest rail point) then down to Provo and points beyond.
Hope you looked for Castle Gate, or rather what's left of it after the state DOT got through dynamiting half of the magnificent rock formation in order to widen Route 6. Did you spent some time in Helper? It's rather historic and picturesque. Amtrak even stops there.
How about coming back through the north rim of the Grand Canyon? I've always heard it's more scenic than the south rim.
It’s a beautiful drive, with one quibble. You started in VERN-ul, not Ver-NAL.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It's the mountain pine beetle, also called a bark beetle.
They have decimated the forest in every western state
Ever think of visiting Chaco Canyon in NM?
Hey Russ, how many miles for this trip so far?
You need to start taking some of small dirt roads off the main road.
You're right in the middle of coal mining country here in Utah.
Just wondering why no traffic?
Ver-Nal
I have watched your videos for years and really enjoy your adventures BUT.... I want to make a suggestion and that is if they make a camera that would display altitude and if you are climbing or going down a hill. I understand it is not important for you because you are driving and feel and see the landscape but we don't it would be cool to know if we were going down a hill or going up one.
A lot of dead trees. I guess the beetles are killing a lot of them.
Why jump over to US 89 to go back to AZ or down thru MOBA toward, I think 291 across towards 4 corners back towards Flag town
Never heard Vernal pronounced like that. It's Ver-nail.
😒UTAH! I heard that every guy has 50 WIVES! Did you Meet any of em?😜
Once again Russ thank you, I feel like I'm in an old western movie or one of Clint Eastwood epic, your last few videos reminded me so much of that..really enjoyed the journey regards
